Tomorrow I shall compose myself, continue speaking up, fight on, and we'll carry on getting stronger.

But I thought I would just explode my rage here, if you all don't mind, as I want to get angry tonight instead of desperate. Join me if you want to rage in company.

So.

FUCK YOU LABOUR, with your shortlists and your dismissive hatred of the female sex.

FUCK YOU, WEP, for choosing the wrong side and abandoning women this way

FUCK YOU BBC, for your biased coverage and concerted cheerleading of transing children and ignoring women

FUCK YOU ALL, you fools who aren't listening or respecting women.

You're all creating a monster and we will hit back HARD.
Our numbers are building.
We will NOT be defeated.
We keep fighting
We keep growing.

I AM RAGING.
I WILL NOT STAND DOWN.

The girl guide's thread is so depressing - the quotes from official emails are unbelievably awful.
BUT I think parents will be up in arms & we need the sunlight.

AstraiaLiberty · 06/03/2018 11:17

Lily Madigan claiming he's going to volunteer at a women's refuge. As usual, it's all about him and his right to volunteer because he's a woman. Not about the needs of vulnerable women. He also claims that transwomen are at greater risk of DV. I honestly can't see him as anything other than an MRA troll who hates women.

So much rage at this suggestion from Allsorts, a group for young trans people which receives public funding. It was included in advice given to schools. So if you're a young sportswoman who thinks it's unfair that a male has claimed to be female and is now winning everything in your sport by competing against women? The problem is your bigotry, go find another sport.

It's appalling, and I say this as someone who doesn't play any sports. That is doesn't affect me personally doesn't mean I can't see how wrong it is! It's so frustrating when people say that they don't like sport or think it's boring or unimportant so it's totally fine if men compete as women. See also those saying that they personally don't mind sharing communal changing rooms, dorm rooms or hospital wards with males. Good for you! Maybe spare a tiny bit of thought for those who do?

If you fancy badges and leaflets, #ManFriday has them.

YesItsADebate · 06/03/2018 11:27

Oh, and t-shirts. Not car bumper stickers though. I like my car and the glass excess is ridiculous.

beenandgoneandbackagain · 06/03/2018 11:30

I reached peak trans when someone on here said that nothing would be done about TIM competing against women until a woman was killed, and my first thought was that it wouldn't make a jot of difference because the person killed would be a woman, and that our lives are less important than the fragile egos of male cheats. Sad and very very Angry

Why can't Girl Guides see the glaringly obvious pitfalls of their guidance? It is as clear as it could possibly be that such a policy is going to lead to underage girls being sexually abused by teenage boys, with the inevitable consequence that parents will be furious, questions will be asked in parliament, the name of Girl Guides UK will be dragged through the mud in the national press, senior officials will be expected to resign, etc etc. I'm not exaggerating. I wish I was. And this is all happening at a time of hugely increased sensitivity to the risks of abuse faced by children and women - not just the MeToo movement, but Savile, Rotherham, Rochdale, Oxford, the Catholic Church, the various children's homes and so on and so forth.

HOW could they be so stupid? HOW? It's absolutely beyond me.

FrozenWater · 06/03/2018 11:33

They are not stupid. They have little empathy or care more for their career than anything else.

Lemonjello · 06/03/2018 11:36

I think as well as the more serious implications of this, it is also MORE THAN ENOUGH that girls will simply feel uncomfortable, and will self exclude based on this. Privacy and dignity are important!

HomeTerf · 06/03/2018 11:39

Christ on a bike, that sanctimonious bullshit from Allsorts...

How is this happening?? How have we actually reached this place??

Quite seriously, I wish I could replay the last 5 years or so and work out what went wrong. Put it right before it got to this. It feels too late now.

FreckledLeopard · 06/03/2018 12:00

I am so, so livid. I cannot believe how we're in this position. And what makes me even more angry is that so few people seem to have any notion that this is going on. My colleagues are oblivious, my friends are oblivious. Those that have some awareness try and play it down, saying they're sure that common sense will prevail. But it isn't. God knows where we go now.

SomeDyke · 06/03/2018 12:01

" I wish I could replay the last 5 years or so and work out what went wrong. Put it right before it got to this. It feels too late now."
This nonsense has been going on for thousands of years. We were too hopeful, too willing to believe that within our lifetimes or the lifetimes of our mothers (the pill, sexual 'liberation', equal pay act), or within the lifetimes of our grandmothers (female suffrage) it would all be sorted by a few bits of legislation, and reminding chaps that we were humans too and they should be decent towards us.

Except, now the claim that they understood this, was just a blip! Under the surface, as domestic violence, sexual harassment figures, and latest reversion to beliefs in gender show, they never really believed it at all. It was just convenient for a while.

The rot goes too deep, we just glossed over it for a while, and hoped it was gone!

A century is a short time in the lifetime of the patriarchy, but we have made progress, we were just too hopeful that we could finally have a rest!

TalkingintheDark · 06/03/2018 12:06

Yes yes yes. Raging a lot at the moment.

Twitter v bad like that. So many rage inducing absolute tools, so scary to know there are SO MANY people in complete and utter denial of reality, of decency, of justice... of everything really.

And raging that we always seem to be on the back foot - that we have been positioned as the bigots, when they are really; that we're being portrayed as bullies and abusers when THEY ARE THE BULLIES AND ABUSERS but the Zeitgeist is with them. It sometimes feels like there’s nothing we can do because this Zeitgeist is so overpowering, it seems to be so all encompassing - so many organisations, governments, politicians, women’s orgs, LGBT orgs, sporting orgs, the whole damn world joining in this insane, evil, collective delusion.

I really do think it’s evil. It’s against OUR human rights. Taking away our human rights and then calling us bigots for being upset about it and trying to stop us even talking about it is genuinely evil.

The only thing that gives me hope now is the fact of the meetings happening and women coming together and getting more and more numerous and angry. And the fact that this board has persisted and strengthened over the last few years. And I’ve met some brilliant women both virtually and in RL as a result of all this.

But the rest of it... Rage.

TalkingintheDark · 06/03/2018 12:12

Just seen the thread about “Clara Baker”’s “sex changing fish proves transgenderism in humans is biological reality” baloney and am raging even more

FencingFightingTorture35 · 06/03/2018 12:13

I can't articulate the ways in which the constant objectification, intrusion, exploitation and disrespect which come with being female have poisoned and derailed my life. I can't express how exhausting I find this ongoing battle for personhood.

This was perfectly put, Tallulah and I feel the same.

I am so angry and so sick of this shit.

Ineedacupofteadesperately · 06/03/2018 12:24

I'm alternately feeling rage, sadness and wanting to hide in a cave. I feel like the TRA movement is the polar opposite of #metoo. They want to take away womens' rights and they want us to know they're doing it and be able to do nothing about it... this is the only explanation for not campaigning for third spaces.

Well, if self ID happens I'll be using the "mens'" because that will be the only positive choice left and at least in there the majority of men will not be those that delight in riding roughshod over womens' consent. Yes, everything will be unisex but at least the TRAs won't have won.

Melamin · 06/03/2018 13:04

With the fish thing - they never seem to notice that crocodiles' sex is temperature dependent. I am almost frightened to write about it in case someone does pick it up Confused but here you are if you are interested en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temperature-dependent_sex_determination I am waiting for someone to claim they weren't gestated at the right temperature Grin

YesItsADebate · 06/03/2018 14:44

If anyone really wnats leaflets, this is what the ones we have look like.

I don't really care if anybody thinks they have found a scientific support for transgenderism. As long as penis owners go around commiting the majority of violent and sexual crimes I am going to demand the right to have an occasional space away from them.

misscockerspaniel · 06/03/2018 14:57

Yesterday, I got the distinct impression that their was a concerted effort going on by TRAs to flood MN with posts. I checked out a few of the posters and wasn't surprised to see that they didn't have a posting history.

Yes, I had the rage yesterday and had trouble sleeping. But I woke up this morning, determined more than ever to fight the misogynist, bullying bigots and their warped ideology.

Ritzsaltedcrackers · 06/03/2018 15:01

I feel utter rage at the many, many powerful women - politicians, celebrities, journalists - who have a voice and MUST be aware of what is going on here but are choosing not to stick their necks out and are allowing ordinary women like us to do all the work and cop all the abuse instead.

I also feel rage at the idiot handmaidens who are too dim to see what's really going on here and who turn on their own sex for virtue cookies and male approval.

Finally I feel rage at the lefty dudebro pricks who are cheering this on, pretending to be progressive but actually secretly thrilled that they finally get the opportunity to shit all over women in the guise of social justice.

TalkingintheDark · 06/03/2018 15:25

I second all those.

GenderApostate · 06/03/2018 15:30

I’m raging too. Not only at everything that’s already been said but also for feeling pathetically grateful when someone, normally a Man, sticks their head above the trench to support us. Graham Lineham ( writer of Father Ted, IT crowd and Black books) yesterday was being bombarded in twitter because he retweeted a radfem and today has bravely said that Transwomen aren’t Women - I think I love him .

misscockerspaniel · 06/03/2018 15:31
  • there not their.

Thanks for posting the information on Allsorts. Excellent proof plus rage = more lobbying.

0ccamsRazor · 06/03/2018 15:42

I am so Angry that I feel I may explode

Fucking men with their fucking lady dicks

Just been reading that - I can't see him being one for turning...he said it was good to be able to clear out the misogynists. Hallelujah.
