They really have; this and the disgusting misogynists coming out of the woodwork to gloat about it are driving women away from Labour.

FissionChips · 05/03/2018 20:48

Honestly have zero clue who to vote for in the next GE.

flapsDentata · 05/03/2018 20:48

They have also failed a massive proportion of the gay community.

They can keep repeating the mantra, but I’m not buying it.

MyOwnShed · 05/03/2018 20:58

Cancelled my direct debit two days ago. My card is in the bin.

Ritzsaltedcrackers · 05/03/2018 21:08

Shouldn’t be shocked by this but I am. Kind of hoped they’d see sense in the end.

They are not even pretending to be a party that has women’s interests at heart, are they?

Pure, unfettered misogyny in the raw. Labour in 2018 Britain.

cheminotte · 05/03/2018 21:14

So there was a 'consultation' but no debate?

Badgerthebodger · 05/03/2018 21:14

I actually had a small piece of hope that they would see sense but I suppose the appointment of Bergdorf and the continued indulgence of that fucker Madigan should have told me all I needed to know.

Labour, what the FUCK were you thinking? You are now completely unelectable and an absolute shambles. If the Tories let Self ID die quietly in the long grass (some hope) they will win votes. It is a fucking outrage and I hope @JenniferJames uses every penny of that money to fight this- just let me know when you need some more money because I will fight this with you.

Freshlylaidterf · 05/03/2018 21:19

Cant say Im surprised. Does this mean that Jennifer will use the fundraiser money to challenge this then?

thebewilderness · 05/03/2018 21:19

Every political part has joined the He Man Woman Haters Club. Even the one that named itself the women's equality party

DarthArts · 05/03/2018 21:24

Well so much for the consultation then Corbyn.

What did that involve...a cosy chat at brocalist HQ?

QueenLaBeefah · 05/03/2018 21:25

I thought Corbyn was going to enter into a dialogue. Seems he's just telling women to fuck off.

XXHelenaXX · 05/03/2018 21:27

All Labour women can do now is vote with their feet.

100 years anniversary of voting, and we have nobody to vote for.

We need to make the WEP see sense, and they will be rewarded with thousands of new members.

PositivelyPERF · 05/03/2018 21:27

Do you still hold out hope Corbyn will see the light @JenniferJames? I’m afraid labour has lost ANY chance of keeping critical feminists on board. There were PPs that said they were going to try to work from the inside. I don’t think even they can stomach this.

ElenOfTheWays · 05/03/2018 21:29

I was pretty much expecting this tbh. Corbyn is a blundering fuckwit and always was, but I'm still so angry I can barely articulate. Angry

flapsDentata · 05/03/2018 21:30

I think this a clear indication that they want feminists out the party. Unless we exist in bad faith. I will never except a transwoman as a woman. I’m a Domestic Violence survivor. I will always see Male threat.

OP posts:
GaraMedouar · 05/03/2018 21:31

I feel like this too - who do I vote for now? I really don’t know.

SusanBunch · 05/03/2018 21:31

BYE then Labour. I will most likely spoil the ballot at the next GE. All the political parties are a shower of shit.

Are there any numbers of women leaving the party? Surely if sufficient numbers of women leave, they have to start listening?

I genuinely think some major event has to take place in order for people to wake the fuck up. I am thinking something like a beloved female sports star being repeatedly trounced by trans women and failing to get a medal or some particularly violent murdering rapist (e.g. Ian Huntley) actually being transferred to a women's prison.

Bejazzled · 05/03/2018 21:32

Ahahahahahahahaha ffs Angry Hmm

fucking fuckery

terfing · 05/03/2018 21:32

I'm not surprised. Labour has always had problems with misogyny. Sad

CertainHalfDesertedStreets · 05/03/2018 21:33

I think 'blundering fuckwit' has it...

SusanBunch · 05/03/2018 21:34

What did that involve...a cosy chat at brocalist HQ?

Probably afternoon tea at Claridges with Lily and Owen, sharing anecdotes about 'literal violence'.

PositivelyPERF · 05/03/2018 21:43

Corbyn must really hate women. Imagine picking the anniversary of 100yrs since the first female vote. I swear they’ve been planning this nonsense and deliberately timed it for now. 100yrs from now they’ll be talking about the anniversary of when women lost all their rights.

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 05/03/2018 21:45

As expected. Fuckwits.

TruScum · 05/03/2018 21:50

I felt this was coming though I hoped maybe they’d actually try and have a debate before ploughing ahead Sad

I was quite active in my local area but my debit had been cancelled for a month now and every time I am invited to a meeting I politely decline and reiterate why, in writing.

I very much felt my views were met with increasing hostility from party members who were expecting me to be their ‘token’ trans. Brocialists indeed.

If the Tories see the light and kick away self-ID I will, without hesitation, vote for them.

I just don’t see how I can expect any leader or party to run the country in any way if I cannot even trust them to understand biological reality. (Plus I feel I’ve had my eyes opened to a lot of misogyny now in how labour have treated women over this - and I can’t unsee it)

Judder · 05/03/2018 21:50

They will need TW to stand on AW shortlists because there won't be any proper women's activists left in the party. That way all the Labour politicans can be men and finally the brocialists will be happy. I foresee them smiling smugly to themselves about how intersectional they're being once there are no women left.
