I was quite active in my local area but my debit had been cancelled for a month now and every time I am invited to a meeting I politely decline and reiterate why, in writing. I swear if you were a politician I’d vote for you. 🥇

There is no party for us at present. I basically see two viable options for feminists:

OPTION A:
Organise a mass ballot-spoiling exercise. It would have to be consistent in how exactly ballots are spoiled in order to get attention. If done properly, it could have one hell of an effect.

OPTION B:
Stand for election or organise to field other, feminist-friendly candidates on every.single.level. Contest every seat.

In either case: be noisy, be heard, be annoying as fuck! The secret recipe to success is essentially to make people think they're better off listening to you than having to keep on putting up with all the fuss you're making!

There was an interesting Radio 4 programme tonight "The Silence of the Liberal " which made some interesting points about how muslim women are being let down by the liberal left.

I've cancelled my membership today and written to explain why. Whether or not this Huff Post story is rubbish, the Labour Party has created the environment for it to be completely plausible and has done nothing to reassure women or give us confidence that our opinions will be heard.

I'm feeling genuine panic.

I momentarily felt searing panic when I saw this, that the battle was lost and we should all give up and go home.

But this is just the next step. Labour are making a public declaration on what they think women in politics should be. More women will then know about self-ID, and start to question it.

This will only bring more women into the fold. And we keep going, until the next big event.

I listened to that Radio 4 programme (www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09tcvp2) TooManyMiles and thought it provided a compelling insight into how the left is currently going wrong. For some reason a large part of the left has opened itself up to be captured by any intolerant/regressive group that paints itself in the right colours.

Nauticant buy his book What’s left. It’s what made me wake up to labour and how it is going to desperately wrong. At the expense of the many, not the few.

Hi there. I have been following all your threads but not contributed. Am in a few gender critical secret groups and have been campaigning against self ID for several months. I used to be DuelingFanjo on here but you may not remember me as I haven’t posted under that name for a while.

I am leaving labour and have donated (again) to the just giving page set up to legally fight the Labour Party over self ID.

I had turned off all my notifications from my groups yesterday as I was so weary of it all but I have decided I have to fight. Fighting from within not an option. Just posting to her myself back in the mumsnet loop. Thank you all for being sane.
