My elderly parents peak transed today

I was having a lively debate with my parents (both in their 80s and incredibly with it and intelligent) and the subject of womens only safe spaces came up. I decided to tell them about the proposed issues involving TIMs.

And they peak transed.

So begins the spread of this information among their friends, and the ripples will spread.

I think all of them are written in an ironic way from the perspective of sexist men, so you're fine Grin

Yer what? I hold no brief for sexist men, ironically or otherwise, and all this cross-irony is doing my head in. I do think the T shirt would be funny, though. Cos it's a shit argument.

Apologies if I misunderstood when I thought you thought I was a bloke trying to take the high ground. Grin
I'm only finding this difficult because it's mad. Mad that women have to put up with shit, mad that they get criticised for doing so, mad that they get criticised for not doing so, mad that they get criticised for talking about it.

At work I'm now known as "she's off again". Still yesterday peaked two grandfathers and today a female manager of a pub. On a roll...

Not one person, once they get it, (and most admit they have never heard of it), can get their heads around the sheer stupidity.

@bluescreen, these are the operational rules of misogyny that I have observed and documented in an effort to help women recognize the many forms they take in our society.
The 1st and most significant one, I think, is that women are held responsible for what men do. We are told this in all the man made myths and zombie lies that never die, and more importantly by the daily news and even sometimes our friends and family.
My apologies for any confusion.

Thanks thebewilderness. Apologies from me for being testy.

You are quite right about the 1st rule. Right there in the Genesis chapter 3.

Deadline for consultation about the GRA in Scotland is 1st March. Anyone around the country can complete this however. Please do!

I've tiptoed around the topic with my mother (in her 70's) but after attending the Women's Place meeting on Tuesday, I decided to come clean. I told her what we discussed and said, straight out, that transwomen are men and I thought the whole issue of trans was bs.

My mother was fascinated, she knew very little about what's been going on and I filled her in; pussy hats, women's sports, dismissal of female biology, the lot.

Then she said that a while ago she had wondered, and said to me, how could a man say he is a woman when he has never had a period. 'So, I've been saying all of that already,' she said with such delight! It was really cute - she was so chuffed that she had come to the same conclusion independently from all the admirable women I'd mentioned.

MyBeloved - Now you have me intrigued, what kind of agenda would those be? I'm genuinely curious.
