This is for everyone who knows what has happened and wants to chat about what will come next

Spoilers Space

I think that a lot of the next one will be in Grimauld place.

Sirius' brother is the person who stole the Locket (idea pinched from a clever mate of mine)

Dumbledore ordered Sirius to 'do the deed' and Sirius is a triple agent

I still think Percy Weasly will turn out to be a 'good egg'

Another good idea stolen from someone else is that part of Vodermorts soul is held in Harry's scar!!!! Damn clever that I thought!!!

Spoiler for people who read from the bottom, so to speak!

Hmm just finished reading it fir the secind tme just to get thinigs in perspective. I agree that Snape was protedting Harry to make up for betraying his parents to Voldermort, i dont think the next book will be set in Hogwarts but i do think it will feature in thebbok - i also think Bills wolfish charactoristics will somhow be incorperated.

The next books ment to be the last so that will deffo be Harry v Voldermort for the last time and i bet we will see Snape protect Harry. Im just hping J.K Rowling doest squueze all the last 4 horcuxes into one small book!

Tyakit, you beat me to it, I was going to post tonight about James Potters Heritage. Nobody has ever mentioned his family, only that Lily was muggle born. Got me thinking about his side of the family and how odd it is that it's never been mentioned before. Nobody has ever mentioned who James' parents were or what happened to them and Harry has never asked, odd.

Still can't decide about Snape. I like the theory of the potion that Dumbledore drank being a daught of the living dead, hadn't thought of that.

charleepeters · 25/07/2005 23:21

I think it will eventually emerge in the 'final battle' between Harry and Voldermort that Snape will protect Harry after all he must have some good in him as he has risked his life and betrayed voldermort by killing Dumblemore to save Malfoy?

Harry scar deffo Gryfindor horcrux i rekcon as it was left by V.

tortoiseshell · 27/07/2005 13:12

Definitely think Snape is actually a goody - the way he kept stopping Harry doing unforgivable curses, and teaching him. Something funny - when Harry checked the date of the potions book, it was nearly 50 years old, and he said his father and Sirius (and therefore Snape) were not at school then - in Chamber of Secrets, it was 50 years since the Chamber had been opened - could it have been Voldemort's? Or maybe another horcrux?

Think themes of 'death not being the worst thing' (from OoP), and friendship will play a large part in last book. Also Neville's role in the prophecy. Think Godric's Hollow definitely has significance for Godric Gryffindor.

Nik72 · 27/07/2005 21:42

Could Harry be related to Voldemort? His grandson??

Tyakit · 28/07/2005 09:41

Don't think Harry will be related to Voldy. I also don't think Harry will survive the final book and that this is why JK is so definate about there being no more after book 7 and the themes of death not being final started to creep in from book 5.

Perhaps Harry will have this portrait painted in book 7 and will live on in his picture as the greatest Gryffindor at Hogwarts for ever and ever.

Anybody got any ideas about the big mystery surrounding Lily Potter - what could be the big revelation that we are told is coming??

I think I need to get out more actually.

geranium · 28/07/2005 15:21

Any theories about Sirisus's old flying motorbike and the two-way mirror? JKR has said both will reappear/be important. I think motorbike must have been left in Godric's Hollow (by RAB?). Maybe Harry will use it for getting around to find the horcruxes if he has decided he doesn't like apparating?!

juicychops · 29/07/2005 21:36

Just finished reading the book today and i cried a bit at the end (how perthetic)

who is R.A.B? im dying to find out
I think harry will die in the last book
Thats a good idea about harry's scar being the Gryfindor horcrux. I never thought of that before
i cant believe Dumbledor dies. I was so sure Malfoy would die after reading the first chapter
So does it mean that the next book isn't going to be based at Hogwarts then do you think?

i cant wait a whole year until the next book is out!!!

Linnet · 29/07/2005 21:42

*

James Potter was a pure blood wizard, could he have been related to the Slytherin line? could that be the reason that Harry can speak and understand Parseltongue?

Juicychops, I think RAB is Regulus Black, Sirius' Brother, he was a death eater who was killed or odered to be killed by Voldemort.

charleepeters · 29/07/2005 21:43

Dont think next book will be based at Hogwarts but i think harry and the others will deffo return for a few chapters, it will be about harry searching for the horcuxes, i think he will probablyend up living in Sirrius old house that he inhereted.

Motorbike qwill deffo be his mode of transport as his dislike for apperating was blatently portrayed several times in the book.

Two way mirror im not sure yet. but the last book harry will have to defeat Voldy no doubt ut think he will die doing it maybe saving Ginnie, Ron and Hermionie?

spursmum · 29/07/2005 21:59

here's a good site...

iwas just on another site when someone suggested i look at this \link{http://www.dumbledoreisnotdead.com\site.
It made some good points.

spursmum · 29/07/2005 22:00

oops can't do links

spursmum · 29/07/2005 22:01

try again

charleepeters · 29/07/2005 22:08

all i can say is this person ha sa very complex mind, im not sure what to think of this web site, i mean for everything he/shes written to be true you have to interpritate every single word, i mean this could be the case J.K could have ment you to do this to truly understand the plot but then again im drawn tot he fact that this book is also ment for children so would it be that complicated?

I dont think Dumblodore is dead - dead if you get wht i mean, it said a the end that he lives on in the portrait so maybe he will guide Harry form there?

Yep think Harry mst deffo e related to slytherin some way thats why they are aimmilar in so many ways. parslemouth, can read each others thought ect.

katymac · 29/07/2005 22:30

Isn't the reason he can speak parslemouth explained in the 2nd book (something to do with Voldemort?)

charleepeters · 29/07/2005 22:32

Yeah im not sure, he could be related thats why Voldermort chose him not Nevil, but i suppose it could also be because he was attacked - maybe harry himself became a horcurex when Lilly was killed thats why?

giraffeski · 29/07/2005 22:40

Linnet · 29/07/2005 22:47

Was that definite though, didn't Dumbledore say that he thought that may be why Harry could speak it but wasn't entirely sure?

I also thought the Parselmouth thing was because of the scar. This makes even more sense if the scar is a horcrux as it means that Harry is carrying around a little bit of Voldy's soul..

Also explains why the sorting hat considered him for Slytherin...

Like the thought about Sirius' motorbike and also think that the house at Grimmauld place will be a focus of activity in the next book.

Anyone got any ideas about the Giants role in the war and how Grawp might develop as a character? Dumbledore kept saying how important the Giants would be in the war...

Still need to get out more

tortoiseshell · 30/07/2005 17:48

I wonder if Harry will end up being descended from both Gryffindor and Slytherin - if James Potter was pure blood, didn't Sirius say that all the pure bloods were inter-related?

Re-read a bit of this.

There was plenty of time for Dumbledore to either get his wand back or unfreeze Harry so he could attack Malfoy.

Why didn't he? I can't accept that he was too weak to do so, because he had just frozen Harry.
