Does anyone want to join me?! Smile I need to lose 3 stone hopefully a stone and but in time for March if I can!

I'm already a member of ww online I have the app and just getting used to the new smart points system! Like a refresh think it will be good to do something new again!

Bought a fit bit with xmas money and had it two days love it already! It updates activity points onto the ww app though I won't be eating these.

Hopefully if anyone joins me we can motivate each other

My first weigh-in after Christmas tomorrow, expecting at least a 5lb gain. Desperate to get it off (and more). I want a stone from now gone by beginning of Feb!

CharleyDavidson · 04/01/2016 23:04

Back to my first post-Christmas meeting. I've gained 3.5lb in the 2 weeks. It could have been worse. And now I'm buckling down to getting rid of a couple of stone.

I think everyone has the same 30points daily, it's your weekly amount that changes depending on your stats. They go up or down in 7 points blocks. For some reason, when I put my details back in to change my weigh in day (finally), it took away 7 of my weeklies, so I have 30 dailies and 35 weeklies now.

I have set it to swap out my fitness points for food, which is not recommended. BUT I have set it to use my weekly points first and don't intend to actually eat my activity points, and certainly not all of them. But, mentally, if I have a bad week and run out of weekly points it makes me more likely to say sod it for that week and ruin it even more. Having a few activitiy points to use up instead may well keep me on track.

Off to bed so I don't eat anything else this eve. Then tomorrow it's
B - coffee
L - soup, fruit
D - ? Prob some leftover chicken, sweetcorn and mushrooms in mushroom sauce that I made the other day, served with sweet potato oven chips.
Snack - Either a bowl of cereal or a small choc mousse.

Onwards and downwards.

gamerwidow · 05/01/2016 12:23

Charley I didn't realise you could set up the tracker to use fit points. I'm going to do the same as you with intention not to use them but as a psychological safety net. Thanks for the tip.

amazonianwoman · 05/01/2016 14:14

Can I join you?

Started yesterday, so Monday is class weigh in. 15 stone 9!! (5ft 10, in my weak defence). Aiming for 12 stone to get me back to a healthy BMI. 2.5 stone by the summer holidays would be nice...

It's years since I did WW - how do smart points differ from propoints?

Zook · 05/01/2016 17:11

Had a horrible day at the hospital with DH but am feeling happy I still managed to stick to my points despite desperately wanting his burger and chips!

B - Egg and tomato with light mayo on wholemeal roll (11 sp)
L - Pearl barley, tomato, aubergine, red onion and halloumi bowl (13 sp - but would be massively less without the halloumi, think I'd probably just add some ham or beans next time)
D - Corn chowder (5sp)
77wwrecipes.blogspot.ae/2015/12/corn-chowder-5-smartpoints.html

Hope those starting today have had a good start!

amazonianwoman · 05/01/2016 18:31

B - porridge
L - prawn & cottage cheese salad
D - roasted chicken, cauli, courgettes, red peppers with tikka dry spice, basmati rice, lime pickle, yoghurt
3 tiny, one bite and they're gone WW choc hazelnut square things
2 teas, 1 coffee
2 points left...

uppitywho · 05/01/2016 19:55

b - blueberry wheats with added strawberry and banana
l - zero roasted veg with a tiny portion of left over tuna pasta
d - stir fry chicken and a scoop of raspberry sorbet Grin
still got 4 points left ,

Jeanniejampots80 · 05/01/2016 20:05

Just rejoined after a dally with slimming world which I didn't like at all. Glad of the change as I felt I was getting too casual with WW pro points. Have 8.5 kg to lose so about 20 lbs? Looking around for new recipes that will satisfy husband on ww I found the website Emilybites.com delicious recipes and she has smart points for the all now. You need to put the recipes in yourself to make sure the SP are the same in UK as U.S. Due to ingredients but I made the spaghetti and meatball soup tonight. Delicious and it was only 6 points for a hue portion.

TaffyandTeenyTaffy · 05/01/2016 20:20

Hope everyone is having a good week. Struggling to use my dailys this week as i seem to be eating a lot of fruit and veg and cutting out the processed / sweet stuff.

madwomanacrosstheroad · 05/01/2016 21:04

Okay started today and it went okay
I am confused. Have they / are they doing away with the filling and healthy /no count option or what wat does it work now?

DaleTremont · 05/01/2016 21:39

Madwoman - they still have filling and healthy, but it's now called No Count (which is what they called it about 10 years ago, confusingly!) it's basically unchanged from F&H though. So you can change each day from points to F&H depending on what you feel like.

2lbs on over Christmas for me, so now 14st 8lb, could have been worse. Am going to do no count for most of this week I think.

Today was b) ready break and banana, l) egg and bacon medallion salad, sf jelly d) steak and kale, berries and fat free yog for dessert. Did two hours of dance class and a weights session at lunchtime so must have banked some fit points today too!

fireandblood · 06/01/2016 04:26

Sorry to hear you had a horrible day in hospital zook. Well done in sticking to plan though.

I'm on my lunch break now just having a sprite zero cos I've have passed the point of hunger now. Yesterday I had half a oven pizza and salad for dinner and stuck to points.

When I get in from work my day will looks like this

B - bagel thin
Sleep
L if wake up soup or eggs and oatcakes
D chicken mini fillets and salad for me chips if I have enough points .

I have raspberry sorbet in the freezer to try too uppitywho is it nice?

This is my last shift til Sunday so normal eating days after today!

Redglitter · 06/01/2016 04:30

Count me in please. Weigh in day is Monday

Redglitter · 06/01/2016 04:32

Charley Daily allowances are based on stats. I've got more than 30

MidniteScribbler · 06/01/2016 09:51

I've just joined up (in Australia). I think I need the added incentive of being accountable by attending meetings. My meeting day is Mondays.

I'm two days in and finding it tough. I'm a snacker, so that's killing me. I also have the added disadvantage of not liking fruit, so I can't fill up on zero point fruits. I did manage an apple today. Portion size is also going to be a challenge, but I know it's something I need to improve anyway, so I just need to stay strong. It's the loss of my nightly wine that I'm mourning the most though (yet another thing I know I needed to do away with anyway).

uppitywho · 06/01/2016 16:13

fire and blood sorbet is great - 3 points per scoop and well worth it ,
lots of new people so we can all boost each other. Kept to the plan today, midnite I struggle with wine and portions too (nothing helps) but keeping busy helps with snacking so for me being back at work helps - also fizzy water dont know why fizzy helps more than plain but it does for me

dottyaboutstripes · 06/01/2016 16:21

Hello all! I've been doing WW for 15 years and at goal for 12.5, except a blip in 2015 where I had to pay because I was more than 5lbs over goal Shock
Anyway, sorted myself out, back on track and they only went and changed to smart points!! I had 2 weeks off over Christmas so now I am 1lb over goal (which is fine) but hoping to shift half a stone I suppose before reevaluating. I'm lucky that I go to a really fab meeting so that makes it so much easier (moved here not too long ago after a mediocre at best leader so it's like a breath of fresh air!)

fireandblood · 06/01/2016 16:34

I've found it much easier this week mainly as I have been working and don't eat much at work then sleeping all day as nightshift so can't eat when I'm sleeping Wink

I will give the sorbet a try tomorrow hopefully! Hoping to use the treadmill and cross trainer at my mums tonight just need to find my motivation.

I am an online member and I swear by the app.

Hi to everyone who's just joined the thread

Hi,
Just joined today post baby weight needs to be gone. Think I weigh more now than when I was 40 weeks pregnant.
Good luck to everyone x

MidniteScribbler · 06/01/2016 23:15

Yes, I think it will be easier when school starts back. I'm restricted in my eating times due to teaching, so that should be eating. And since I have to take my lunch, I can make sure I've got the right choices as my only options. I just have to avoid the morning teas and chocolate biscuits during staff meetings.

It's summer here, and we are usually in the pool by late afternoon. It's hard not pouring a glass of wine to enjoy while we float around. I might need to look for some of the reduced alcohol or non-alcoholic options.

I bought a Soda Stream (not sure if they have them in the UK?) and I'm drinking fizzy water rather than soft drinks, which should make a big difference.

fireandblood · 07/01/2016 09:37

My gran used to have a sodastream when I was little used to amaze me Grin

Well first weigh in on smart points and 3lb down!! Considering I have only stuck to it strictly since after new year so not even a full week! Can safely say I love smart points!

11.13 down to 11.10 . Feel so motivated now. Planning to start couch to 5k today but on the treadmill I am not brave enough to face outdoors.

Today menu is
B - two warburton crumpets and flora light /cup of tea
L - 4 Crackerbread and light spread, Cucumver, and a boiled egg / water or diet juice
D - chicken tikka masala - smaller portion of rice and using a low fat masala sauce with a mini garlic naan bread.
S- Actimel fat free yoghurt drink (only 1 sp!)

Hope everyone else has a good day!

I bought a Soda Stream last year. I love it. It's streets ahead of the one we had when I was a child. It does however still make the old farty noise when the waters fizzed. The syrups are much nicer too. I've got a few of the diet ones

wiltingfast · 07/01/2016 11:20

Anyone know if there are sp in a banana???? I assume not, but it's not in the book!

Zook · 07/01/2016 11:22

wiltingfast Bananas are showing up as 0 sp online....

wiltingfast · 07/01/2016 12:40

Thank you! I did Google but could not find it Smile
