I'm already a member of ww online I have the app and just getting used to the new smart points system! Like a refresh think it will be good to do something new again!

Bought a fit bit with xmas money and had it two days love it already! It updates activity points onto the ww app though I won't be eating these.

Hopefully if anyone joins me we can motivate each other

I would like to join too. I have just joined up online. I have 3 stone too shift.

I have not started well today with a bacon sandwich, so need to find some willpower.

Twowrongsdontmakearight · 01/01/2016 12:57

Can I join too? I need to lose 3 stone preferably by the summer hols so 8 months.

Joined WW just before Christmas and did filling and healthy (pre smart points) and lost 1/2 stone but might have gained a bit this week!!

poorpaws · 02/01/2016 00:59

Please, please may I join? I lost 3 sones on Ww pro points 3 years ago and I've put all but half a stone back on. I tried all last year to lose weight and failed miserably. I need support. I'm starting on Monday but weighing on Sunday. My initial weighin may be a shock I've been pigging out for seven weeks - oh heck!

I'll be back on Sunday to admit my starting weight.

Good luck everyone.

DragonRojo · 02/01/2016 08:13

I started on Boxing Day with the online app. I never did Propoints so the Smartpoints is the only info I have. Last time I did WW was 15 years ago so it was all different.

I have 2st to lose and so far I have stuck to it religiously. I hope I can keep up when I go back to the office on Monday. That tends to be my downfall.

Also, I have thyroid problems so losing any weight tends to be extra challenging. So far, one week into it, I have lost nothing so I will just have to keep on going. Anyone with a slow thyroid here as well?

Rshard · 02/01/2016 10:08

I'd love to join you guys please. Lost loads on WW in 2008 but it's all back on and then some! I started back on 10 September at 14,6 and lost 13lbs by mid December but then Xmas chaos arrived and I missed 3 sessions. Went back on Wednesday and to my complete shock have only put on 2.5 lbs!!!

Back to work on Monday which will be easier for me than being at home.

I'm only 5,2 so would like to to get to 9,9 which is 4 stone from where I am presently. i believe in short term goals so my first will be 10% which is 9lbs away at 13,0

Is the plan to check in and update weight loss??
Good luck everyone!

Zook · 02/01/2016 13:27

Does anyone know have the WW app on their phone? I'm trying to download it but can only find the Austrian version Confused

Accidentalhipstermum · 02/01/2016 16:17

I'm in! I joined last year and did lose quite a bit but I'm totally rubbish and ended the year very off track. I bought a fitbit and am raring to go now with the smartpoints program.

I've done a couple of lazy recipes for meals and I'm looking for any more ideas for a lazy girl since the things I used to eat for convenience have gone up by a bout 5 points each!

This one is for fishcake chips and peas for 10 sp:

And this one is for a nice pasta-y thing for 9 sp:

fireandblood · 03/01/2016 00:37

Hi everyone. Sorry had a hectic new year but will be checking much more from tomorrow and strict counting from tomorrow as well! And will see I get on with weigh in Thursday

Zook I have the app on iPhone and it was easy to find. Strange you can only see the Austrian version. Are you android or iPhone?

My go to quick healthy dinners are stir fry chicken or beef with noodles or rice and fajitas are pretty quick too. I still have pizza but I buy the small pizza express one from Tesco and half it with the kids and fill up with salad.

One more day off the wagon for ne before going back to my meeting and finding out what I've gained over Christmas.

I'm looking forward to being in control and watching the numbers on the scale going down and down.

I think I've managed to change my weigh in day so my weekly points refresh on the day I goto my meeting. Although fir some reason, when I scroll back and forth through my teacher online I seem to have more weeklies left tomorrow than today, then they go back down on mon before resetting on Tuesday. Maybe ive confused it by resetting my weigh in day mid week.

TaffyandTeenyTaffy · 03/01/2016 11:29

Back to class for me this morning - and was really pleased to have only gained half a pound in the 2 week Christmas period.

Feeling really motivated to stay on track this week. Did a healthy shop yesterday and have done a meal plan for the week. Just need to make some time for a bit of exercise and remember to drink lots of water.

My quick but tasty meal is chopped red onions and mushrooms and some chicken stock in a frying pan, when they are cooked and the stock reduced add a couple of chopped tomatoes, chopped wafer thin ham and some cooked chicken some seasoning and fry off. Nice on its own, with a jacket, on warburton thins/toast/crumpet or just with some veggies. Works out about 3 or 4 smart points depending on how much ham/chicken you use.

DaleTremont · 03/01/2016 13:56

Happy new year everyone! Started smart points properly today, weighing in on Tuesday to assess the Christmas damage Hmm

Breakfast - banana smoothie 4 pts. Lunch - smoked salmon egg white omelette, 5 pts. Dinner - rump steak with 0 point roasted veg, fat free yoghurt and berries for pudding - 6 pts. Snack - toast and homous - 8 pts. Leaves 7 points which I'll use up as milk in tea/coffee, and a morsel of cheese! I prefer this to pro points for some reason, not sure why, maybe it's just the mentality of a new start?

Very motivated now, have 2 big family dos in May and a couple of dresses in the wardrobe which don't fit, but could do by then. I might take a picture of one and stick it on the fridge.

gamerwidow · 03/01/2016 16:03

Starting smart points tomorrow. I lost 2 stone a few years back on pp but sp looks more challenging as sweets have a higher points value now.
I need to lose 1st to put me back in healthy bmi range but I'd like to lose 2st.
Looking forward to getting startedSmile

poorpaws · 03/01/2016 20:34

So I did my first weighin tonight and was surprised to learn I weigh 11 stone 10 1/4 pounds (I'm 5ft 4) I really thought it would be less. Hoping it will be a much better figure next week!

Just out of interest I was wondering what is the main thing you are giving up/ majorly cutting down on. Mine has to be sugar and a close second alcohol, although I think sugar is my main problem.

I will be checking in here daily to learn your progress although obviously I won't post daily. Good luck to everyone for a good weight loss this week.

Stargazing25 · 03/01/2016 21:11

Last evening of stuffing Xmas chocolates! Starting tomorrow as I'm back to work and a routine.

My problem is definitely sugar and just eating badly really. I tend to skip meals and then pick at rubbish.

I really want to make an effort with meal planning and proper weekly food shopping. I'm hoping this will save pounds and lose pounds simultaneously!

Good luck everyone!

gamerwidow · 03/01/2016 21:44

My biggest weakness is sugar too and weekly takeaways. Going to save the takeaways for special occasions and put the £40/week I save aside for a year for me when I reach the 1 stone milestone.

gamerwidow · 03/01/2016 21:48

That should be £40/month. Even I would find £40/week on takeways excessive Smile

clauclau · 03/01/2016 23:57

Hi there. Can I join you , please? I will start tomorrow and I use the mobile app.

Good luck everyone! Smile

Zook · 04/01/2016 05:05

Thanks fireandblood, I thought I was losing my mind but I tried again last night to download the app and still can only find the Austrian version! No idea why - I'm not anywhere near Austria! I've got an iphone6 and never had a problem finding apps before - anyone know if it's blocked for those outside the UK? Or is anyone else using the app outside the UK?

On the positive side, I weighed in yesterday and I've lost a kilo since starting last week Grin

gamerwidow · 04/01/2016 07:53

First weigh-in 12st 4lbs (5'7'') the journey begins.

clauclau · 04/01/2016 10:46

Hi. For me it's the first day. I eat super porridge in this morning. Do you know porridge is 7 points? I made with milk. Thanks.

notasillysausage · 04/01/2016 15:24

Hi everyone, hope it's ok if I join too. I have done ww before and got to goal, but massively went off the rails after the birth of my ds. Now he is nearly 3yo and I need to sort this out.

I really want to try for another baby but not when I weigh 14stone 9!! (5ft 6 tall). So I need to lose around 3.5st to get to a healthy bmi. I will tackle the rest once our family is complete (my goal weight was 9st previously). So my aim is to lose 3.5st by June. I have to do this!!

uppitywho · 04/01/2016 15:44

OK my first public weigh in (only ever been we online!) This morning I had lost half a pound .....13 St 3.6 lbs . glad to have lost despite falling off the wagon over new year and too much wine. Still half a stone off since starting in October and been re energised by posting on here. Did a big pan of zero roasted veg for my work lunches and planned the weeks dinners to try and help snacking. My issue is portion control. I do notice if I can do 3 or 4 days keeping to my allowance only , no extra points which I save up for weekend wine anyway , meant I was losing 1 or 2 lbs a week .
Roast chicken and roasted root veg from BBC good food new year diet plan for tea

fireandblood · 04/01/2016 17:44

Hope everyone who is starting today or already into it is doing well.

I have stuck to my points all day though not to healthy. Had 2 slices medium bread for toast this morning and light spread , then a bagel thin and a small cadburys dairy milk just the thin ones.

Dinner much better had beef stir fry with egg noodles and veg all weighed out .

Working tonight so will take sugar free jelly then not sure what for my lunch break but that goes on to tomorrow's points as usually about 3am.

I have 30 sp a day plus the weeklys. Amazingly did not go over today.

I have 30 sp per day and seems ok .
