GettinTrimmer · 27/06/2010 12:16

afternoon all

I like "summer slinkies" too.

I was unwell last night, very sick and didn't get much sleep. Don't think it was anything that bad, have just had lunch and feel OKish now. At least that helps with the weightloss

bebe hope all OK at your mum's.

laughalot but hope you are having a great holiday.

blondes bet you can't wait and are busy sorting stuff to go away.

Dh has just taken dc to mum and dad's for a few hours, I have an application form to do. Fingers crossed for an interview!

prettybird · 27/06/2010 15:54

Another run today - just under 3 miles Building up again gradually. Couldn't go firther even if I wanted to, as my achilles tendon is still sore - and today I was also conscious of the other one as well.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 28/06/2010 07:51

Popping in on my phone. Another pound lost here which is fab especially as AF started today and at the end if the week I felt rather bleugh. Will read all posts and update later. DS going on school journey so our house is very excited this morning!!

bebejones · 28/06/2010 09:38

Will have a proper catch up later. I'm at my mums so can't weigh in til I'm home! Not expecting it to be pretty!! AF is a b**ch! Plus this prolonged hot weather is making my MS flare up & I'm having trouble feeling my toes so it's making me feel really low. Trying to be good, but have just been picking all the time! It'll be a miracle if I have even sts!

OP posts:
prettybird · 28/06/2010 11:29

13stone 0pounds

Although to be honest, that was after my 3(-) mile run and 45 minutes Pilates...... (first thing in the morning I was 13st 2lb - but I'll forget about that )

.... if I could lose another couple of pounds between now and Saturday, I'll be very pleased! Even one would do, just so that I am under 13 stone.

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/06/2010 13:07

well done for running pretty bird, esp in this hot weather

bebe,sorry you are flaring up

piste well done on loss

RatherBeOnThePiste · 28/06/2010 15:08

Blondes - have a great holiday! Only two more sleeps!!!

Bebe - sorry you are feeling unwell and having a flare up, and i second that AF is a bitch, although I actually had an Aunty Flo and she was quite jolly

Murtette - Summer Slinkies sounds great to me too and it will need to be done sooner rather than later as we all gas a lot! You are doing well recording your nosh.

PBM - howe many weeks are you now? Keep well..

GT - hope your sickness has passed

Pretty - I looove those significant pounds, the ones that take you into the next stone category or BMI category. They are a great motivator. I am impressed by your running. I can only do a mile and even then I look like this! LOL

JODIEwantsanewname · 28/06/2010 16:04

I haven't caught up, it's so bloody manic here, just wanted to ask you not to delete me from the list please. Life seems to have taken over somewhat and I don't know my arse from my elbow at the minute.

Be back later
x

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/06/2010 16:15

jodie - life does that

my tuesdays i run around like a blue arsed fly!!

yes indeed 2 sleeps, i soooooooooooooo need this holidays after the last few months and i will try not to really pig out as will have to lose it when home

last years holiday, i put on a stone - yes thats right 14 lbs one for every day i was there

prettybird · 28/06/2010 16:59

It's just pleasantly warm up here in Glasgow

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/06/2010 17:30

that explains it then

its never hot in scotland

GettinTrimmer · 28/06/2010 18:03

prettybird well done with the running and loss.

piste congrats on your 1lb

jodie life sounds hectic. Good to see you anyway, we won't delete you.

blondes yes I can understand how easy it is to put on a stone in 14 days.

I've been on the school trip today with dd's reception year, it was in a lovely country park near to us, plenty of wooded areas thankfully as it's been sweltering here.

I've done alright today apart from eating buttery leftover potato skins still so hard to change old habits.

RatherBeOnThePiste · 28/06/2010 18:46

Waves to Jodie....

Blondes .... Our Tuesdays used to be like that, we called them Super Tuesdays! Now it's a Wednesday for us.

DS is on the Isle of Wight - can someone reassure me that he's ok?!

Murtette · 28/06/2010 18:52

Well more veg, some exercise and less carbs is working (what a surprise!!) and I've lost 2lbs so am down to 12st 9. Now I just need to actually stick to it. At least in this weather salad is appealing!

Blondes - I've had similar holidays! Enjoy this one

Bebe - sorry to hear about your flare up. Do you feet tend to be your worst bit? For one of my friends its her hands which always go first.

Pretty - well done on your run

Piste - is this your last week of term or do you carry on until the end of July? Is the kitchen done and dusted now?

Murtette · 28/06/2010 18:53

Hmmm.... no idea why the updated list ended up in the middle of my messages then!

I've also no idea how to link one thread to another so I'll leave starting the Summer Slinkies thread to one of you.

No run today (for which both achilles tendons thank me ) but I will try and do another Pilates session. Dh's birthday istoday, so have already had a fried breakfast (his treat) which blew 471 calories and then we'll be having a nice meal tonight with wine. Methinks I won't be having much lunch today - and I'll have to make today the "higher" allowance day according to the zig-zag method.

prettybird · 29/06/2010 11:32

Like murtette, I have no idea how the list got interrupted with a bit of my own message. I'll try positng it again separately, with no comment.

Morning all

bebe how are you? Hope you are feeling a bit better today.

PBM Hope you are OK. Is the tiredness easing a bit?

piste I love the Isle of Wight, we are only a ferry ride away, but typical, we don't go very often even though we're so close.

Where abouts on the island is your ds staying?

I am busy with an application form today, closing date for job is Thursday. Fingers crossed!

prettybird · 29/06/2010 11:52

Good luck with the application Trimmer.

Poohbearsmom · 29/06/2010 14:49

Hi all
well done on the losses girls! Tis looking slinky round these parts

Bebe hope your feeling better?
Piste ds is having a wonderful time and is perfectly fine
Pretty what kind of temp is it there with ye? Im in ireland and tis lovely and hot but im very pale and just crisp so not much good to me... Well done on the running your flying it!
Blondes have a wonderful time and it will be hopefully be too hot to eat tooooooo much... Stock up on loads of salads and couscous stay away from all things sweet cause they are insane the amount of nuts and sugar/syrups they use in everything! But just enjoy yourself you deserve it
Jodie snap! Life...
Murtette its great youv it all wrote down and can see exactly when you do what youv been doing it really works for you!

My boys (lol at existing dc's) are 3.9 and 2.3, im only 8wks (told ye when i was only 4wks! and no one in real life knows yet...) due in feb please god, im still exhausted and my skin is awful i look like myself at 16! Im not too sick (tot diff from other pregnancies) iv my first appointment at 13wks in the hosp and my scan at 20wks... Seems so far away! Anyways hope everyone is keeping well and enjoying the sunshine xxx

prettybird · 29/06/2010 15:30

Yesterday it was probably late 60s/early 70s temperature wise. Wasn't hot enoguh for me to mention in my running log. Rained heavily in the afternoon and evening. It was 14 Celsius at 9.30 pm - I know 'cs I was driving back from my Pilates class then and noticed the "ambient temperature".

Today it is sunny again and hot in the sun although the wind is fresh. Not sure what the temparture is: OK to out in shorts and T-shirt and for the washing to dry quickly Just checked the BBC web-site - it says 21 celsius.

Ds is now on his school holidays and I've just let him go to the shops with his friend (who we're looking after) to get some sweets. None for me though!

GettinTrimmer · 29/06/2010 17:51

Thanks girls, I've a feeling this application could be more successful.

prettybird Have you been doing pilates for long? I've heard you can lose mega inches with it. I can be your virtual running partner if you like, I do heave myself out now and again to do 2.3 miles (my normal route).

PBM Good to see you. Glad the sickness isn't awful. I wish somebody would tell my midriff I'm supposed to be slinkier .
