Does anyone want to start WeightWatchers with me?

I hate jumping into new threads ... everyone has a head start and they aren't all excitable about it like new people.

I lost 2.5 stone a couple of years ago, using WeightWatchers, so I know it works. Unfortunately in the last 6 months, a stone of it has crept back on and I'm really NOT prepared to be fat again. I weighed myself today, and am (gosh) 13st 1lb.

My points allowance is 20, my first goal is 12 stone 8 lb - who's with me!?

Howdie! Couldn' t resist a sneak peek at the thread. COming home over the weekend and have followed the advice...ie HAD A DELICOUSLY GASTRONOMICALLY FATTENING time.

Bring on raw carrots/zero soups and veggie casseroles when we get home.

Well done to all the 'losers'. Welcome to all the new ones.

Maybe I can edit the holiday pics...

Hi ladies

Could I join please?

I had my 2nd child 7 weeks ago. I'm 5ft 6, weighed 9st 7lbs when fell pregnant in Jan, weighed myself a week after DS was born (he was 9lbs 2 so a fair size although I can't blame him for the amount of weight I put on in pregnancy, I ate a lot of cake) and I was 11st 13lbs. I went for my 1st Weightwatchers weigh in yesterday and I'm 10st 11lbs. I'm hoping to lose 7 pounds before xmas and want to get back to pre pregnancy weight ( and clothes)by the end of Feb.

It's hard at this time of year but I'm in the zone now and when you can feel the weight coming off it feels great! It sounds like your all doing so well. congratulations to everyone.

my weigh in day is Wednesday and I really hope I can lose 2lbs this week. I did WW with DD and it really worked for me hopefully it will this time!

Hi there. Back from hols&positively petrified of weigh in tonight.Considering staying at home and hiding behind bottle of red wine and pack of crisps...

How's everyone else doing?

glasjam · 30/11/2009 12:54

Hi all - things grinding to a bit of a halt with me now - lost half a pound last week and half a pound the week before - not too pleased with the slow progress. 12 stone 3 and a half now that's a total of 15 and a half pounds over 10 weeks. And I have been totally off the wagon over the weekend. Had friends up visiting and ate out all the time, coffee and cakes, pizzas, garlic bread, crisps, wine, chocolate EVERYTHING! Ach well, I enjoyed myself at least. Might be hiding like you HerMomminess come my next weigh in on Thursday!

Good luck to everyone this week.

TillyMintSpy · 30/11/2009 17:30

Go on HM, get down there and face the scales!

Glasjam, you have 3 days to eat zero points soup

HerMomminess · 01/12/2009 08:28

OMG!! Was too delirious with joy to report back yesterday evening...

2 POUNDS OFF!? Even wore jeans vs ususal 'light' trousers. Only 1 per week of holiday but I was sure I had picked up at least 4.

Nearly got arrested for wanting to kiss the leader. Only 1 off my silver seven.

It has been so slow and totally felt like hols scuppered progress. But hang in there everyone. Those Levi's will be mine again.

Cheers for all the support.

fuzzypeach · 01/12/2009 18:45

Had my first weigh in this morning, and lost 3.5lbs which very pleased about!

Just had the chilli meatballs out of the winter warmers book, and can report that they are very tasty!

Hope everyone else is doing well!

glasjam · 01/12/2009 19:56

Well done HerMomminess - what a result! Somehow I don't think I am going to get a pleasant surprise this week. Think I am going to write this week off and start afresh next week.

YanknCock · 01/12/2009 20:03

Nice work, HM!

I did not do so well.....actually gained 1.4lbs

But given I'm still 5.5lbs down from my starting weight two weeks ago, I'm not too bothered. Just getting back on the wagon after a weekend away. Those always do me in. Need to open up the points tracker tonight and see what damage I've done today!

And I found out I need to wear a blardy dress for DH's work Christmas do. Hoping I can recycle the Monsoon one I have from a few years ago that only got worn once. Do I still have Spanx? I can't remember!

HerMomminess · 02/12/2009 09:59

Hey Yank. Totally feel your pain re dress scenario. Was difficult looking oast my Monsoon dresses when trying to find something for a wedding. Further complicated by fact that outfit needed easy breast access to feed DH...

It was linen trousers and nursing top spruced up with pashmina/and cute cardi.

One day those dresses will be ours again!

Well done Fuzzy&hang in there Glas.

Mmmm...more rice cakes and carrot sticks...

Jem27 · 02/12/2009 16:08

Well I have stayed the same for two weeks now, I have been very good Mon-Fri but have the weekend off and when I go off I really go off...

Im going to have to start doing it properly seven days a week but its hard with all the Christmas do's and the alcohol which is always involved, but then thats not a good excuse at all so I should just knuckle down and get on with it.

Im still running three times a week and have lost 12 pounds, but still have a way to go, I think I might start properly on Monday as have a busy weekend..

Good luck everyone.

YanknCock · 02/12/2009 19:15

'easy access to breast feed DH' I think that might have been a typo there HM! The mental image made me though.

I'm also breastfeeding, DS is 3 months. Hadn't even considered ease of access for this outfit. Feck. Tried on a few dresses today, but nothing looks good with a nursing bra and black socks.

HerMomminess · 02/12/2009 21:29

Oops...call it baby brain. The wee DD(!) exhausted me today.

Made v naughty brownies for an upcoming christmas do...proceeded to lick the pot...and kept checking they were okay to avoid exposing friends to inferior quality product. How many points folks?

Happy to make you smile.

DD is 4 months.

DH hasn' t seen breast or any other action in as long a time

colette · 02/12/2009 21:58

Hello
can I join please ? Have been doing on-line since the summer and have only lost 4lbs I know that I really need to get my act together. Have only got about a stone to lose but at this rate it will take me two years ! Will read all this thread when i have time as I need to get motivated.

HerMomminess · 03/12/2009 11:48

Welcome Colette,

The more 'losers' the merrier. Progress is indeed slow with me too but hang in there.

chocolatefondue · 03/12/2009 14:41

I only lost half a pound last week and stayed the same this. A bit disappointed but WW Leader said not to lose heart and to keep at it. Had started back at the gym last week but have rotten cold this week so I haven't exercised at all.

YanknCock · 04/12/2009 23:40

I have been soooo rubbish this week. I start my WW week over on Mondays, and hadn't done any tracking until today. I've already gone over by more than 1 day's worth of points.

I also was bad and weighed myself midweek. It seemed like I'd lost, but that seriously can't be right with the amount of crap I've eaten.

Getting legs waxed tomorrow and it's been awhile....surely all this hair will weigh something...

HerMomminess · 05/12/2009 19:52

Okay, went for a run this morning but ate my own body weight in snacks at Christmas party...oh how I hate a monday weigh in. Desperate for the silver seven.

Jem27 · 08/12/2009 09:11

I seem to have lost all my motivation, which is awful as I still have well over a stone to lose!

There is so many Christmas lunches and nights out that I keep thinking there is no point dieting. But there is a point as if I dont diet on the days I dont have huge calorie ladden meals on then I will put on and I dont want that.

Today Im going to stick with it and go for a run. I will report back this evening to let you know how I got on.

HerMomminess · 08/12/2009 10:08

AAHH!! Stayed the same. Despite zero soups, power pramming, runs over weekend...no silver seven for me just yet.

V disappointing. Could forget about it and focus on mulled wine

Jem27 · 09/12/2009 09:26

I feel a bit sheepish now.... I didnt go for a run and I ate too much. Im going to try again today....

HerMomminess - maybe you will lose quite a bit by next week, sometimes a week can go by and I lose nothing then the next week I lose a good few pounds.

HerMomminess · 09/12/2009 16:42

Here' s hoping. Suspect the temptation of macaroni& cheese might not help...

glasjam · 10/12/2009 10:57

Right am off to my weigh in soon - didn't go last week because I was feeling a bit demoralised and sorry for myself - didn't want to add to it by being told I put on weight!

Feeling less sorry for myself now and realise that I just have to get on with it. Feel as if I am starting again so am looking upon this as my first weigh-in of the second phase. I will have gained for sure but will try a bit harder this week. Was 12 stone 3 and a half at weigh-in two weeks ago - a loss of 15 and a half pounds in 10 weeks - expect to have gained another pound or two so that will be a stone in 12 weeks I reckon.

Basically I am feeling that the next few weeks will be about damage limitation more than anything else. Am looking forward to the New Year and the 2 stone plus that I am going to lose then .

Good luck to everyone else!

tiffanys · 12/12/2009 16:44

Hi all

Its been a while since I last posted on here. I have so far lost 17 and a half pounds in eight weeks however although its not my official weigh in until monday I have weighed myself this morning and have gained a pound despite sticking strickly to the points. Im feeling a little to be honest because next week is when all my xmas parties are and like glasjam says it will be more about damage limitation than anything else so will probably end up gaing a little weight then.

Any ideas on how to pick up motivation especially around all the xmas goodies would be much appreciated

tif

HerMomminess · 13/12/2009 21:30

Well done tif!

Can' t see myself getting the silver seven this week...in fact this year! Might just give up till 2010. Have however picked up a gymembership to fill in...
