I hate jumping into new threads ... everyone has a head start and they aren't all excitable about it like new people.

I lost 2.5 stone a couple of years ago, using WeightWatchers, so I know it works. Unfortunately in the last 6 months, a stone of it has crept back on and I'm really NOT prepared to be fat again. I weighed myself today, and am (gosh) 13st 1lb.

My points allowance is 20, my first goal is 12 stone 8 lb - who's with me!?

I think soup is winter's weightloss answer to summer salads. Hols coming up so no weigh ins for 2 weeks...could seriously go off the rails but will try to hang in there.

Good luck everyone!Welcome missperfect.More the merrier!

Howdie. Ok. How are people managing to loose so quickly??My breastfeeding munchies/winter weather/lack of exercise is seriously inhibiting rapid progress.

glasjam · 12/11/2009 18:13

Well done everyone and good to see some others joining us.

I was really good this week after last week's gain - I was so disappointed and was determined to try and really rein myself in - went today and lost 3 pounds - bringing a total of 14 and a half pounds in 8 weeks - a whole stone, another silver seven and I got a nugget too (!)- am now 12 stone 4 and a half pounds. Aim now to do a steady pound and half a week if I can - 11 stone something by Xmas hopefully.

I've had a lot of soup and stews this week btw - seems to have done the trick! Good luck to everyone else!

bigTillyMint · 13/11/2009 08:59

Well done!

What's a nugget? Not a chicken one, I hope

glasjam · 13/11/2009 10:39

It's ajamore here by the way.

Yes, this nugget was a new thing on me - she saw that I had lost a stone and then proffered me a box full of shiny things (glass pebbles, jewelly nuggets etc.) - so that's what you've all got to look forward to when you lose your first stone. No chicken nuggets in sight unfortunately

bigTillyMint · 13/11/2009 12:07

Oh!

I doubt I'll get one because I only wanted to lose 10lbs

Maybe I could just lose 4 more.......

Jem27 · 13/11/2009 13:42

I have lost 9 pounds so far, Im pleased but its all happening to slowly for my liking, I want to lose it all quicker so I can start eating cakes again...

glasjam · 13/11/2009 14:29

bigTillyMint - you'll get all the Gold stuff though won't you (she says trying not to be envious of you only having to lose 10 pounds )

tiffanys · 13/11/2009 21:37

Hi all

Glad to here everyones doing well.

I to ahve been living on stew and soups this week, its haard trying to save lots of points for this weekend but soups help!

I to am aiming for 1lb per week from now on - slow and steady!

Glasjam - the nugget idea sounds good! Im already looking forward to getting my next silver seven!

bye for now

missperfecttoes · 14/11/2009 23:44

I want a nugget

wickedwitchofwaterloo · 16/11/2009 14:36

can I join in?
was on the old thread and a bit slow on the uptake of this one LOL

been doing WW since end of march and have lost 4st 10lbs

would LOVE to get to 5st 7lb by the new year about I feel I may be asking too much...

I might be in the magazine at some point too, I'm currently sending in the form for one of the ongoing success stories, I still have another 2st 9.5lbs to go, so I may wait and see if I can be one of the cover stories, eee, exciting!!

tiffanys · 16/11/2009 21:31

Hi all

Welcome wickedwitchofwaterloo well done to you on your weight loss, you are doing amazing!

Been to ww meeting tonight. Stayed the same this week . I would really like to lose 2.5lb this week as that would mean I had lost 1 stone!

I have just planned some meals out for this week so hopefully that will give me a good start.

How is everyone else getting on?

missperfecttoes · 16/11/2009 21:49

Hi wwow and every1 else... I need to loose 3lb this week to get my stone but have to get weighed a day early (work) so not sure il make it!! but im trying , im hungry now actually and ive just had 3 jaffa cakes
tiffanys i think planning out the meals really helps, i do it sometimes then least you get some idea what points u can have during the day.. ive had porridge every morning now for 6 weeks lol, lucky i like it.

bigTillyMint · 16/11/2009 21:54

Wwow - well done so far. That is impressive!

Just been to a meeting and we talked about exercise and how you can only earn bonus points from doing exercise if it's more than you did before. So if you already were doing stuff, you have to do even more to earn points. Gulp!

But on the plus side, regularly walking is the best way to earn points easily

Jem27 · 17/11/2009 09:30

I always buy Baileys at Christmas time and couldnt last year as I was pregnant so Im in a bit of quandary. Do I buy it knowing that I am bound to put on weight, it is basicially drinking double cream afterall, or resist and be slimmer.

We are trying for another baby next year so I know next Christmas I may be pregnant again so I feel like I should make the most of being able to drink a bit now.

What should I do?

Quick recap, I started at 12.12 and am now 12.02. I want to be 12 stone dead by this Friday although I think thats a bit ambitious.

Jem27 · 17/11/2009 09:31

Wwow - Your weight loss is seriously impressive, do you have any tips on whats helped you?

bigTillyMint · 17/11/2009 10:43

Don't do it Jem! Don't buy the Baileys!

chocolatefondue · 17/11/2009 16:49

I joined WW 2 weeks ago and lost 2 lbs in the first week and have my second weigh in tomorrow night.

I have about a stone and a half to lose. The weight has just gradually crept on over the years (due to eating crap and not doing enough exercise) so finally felt it was time to do something about it.

I think you just get to a point where mentally you are ready to change your diet and lifestyle.

missperfecttoes · 17/11/2009 21:59

Good luck for yr weigh in chocfondue, ive got stone and half to loose the same as you im hoping to hit my stone in the morning prob wont though, but im determined to do it! its about time i took some action , im hoping to do it before christmas..

wickedwitchofwaterloo · 17/11/2009 22:33

hi everyone - and thanks

I think my top tip is that I don't deny myself anything if I feel like something naughty, I work every bite, every little treat into my points allowance - the other week I had a bacon roll on the way home from a night out drinking and I lost 3lb so never deny yourself a thing - there is always a 0 pt soup you can have or a 3 point stir fry you can eat to make up for a moments indulgence!

Jem27 - I would go against the grain here and say buy the baileys - but by a couple of the miniatures and space them out in your points allowance over christmas... you've given a few reasons why you feel you deserve it this year so go for it!
but stay in control and remember moderation
ps - they are 4 points per 50ml mini bottle I think

I haven't really got the hang of doing exercise but I do walk everywhere because I live quite centrally and I never use any activity points to offset against my food points, which might sound silly but I really think the little activity points I earn here and there have really boosted my weightloss

I'm not totally sure if thats a big help to anyone but I hope everyone is having a good week

tiffanys · 17/11/2009 22:54

WWOW- thanks for your tips- its really motivational to here from someone who is doing so well!

I stayed the same this week and felt bit low about it - however i did go to 2 birthday parties and was very careful so that must have paid of as i would have for sure normally gained wait.

I to am trying not to deny anything, if i fancy chocolate - which is my fav i still have it but just treat size and count it.

CHOCOLATEFONDUE - good luck for your weigh in - keep us updated.
