10lbs off

at least this flu thing has a silver lining to it - although remembering this is on the wii fit board and Oops says they're notoriously crap

dizzydixies · 16/11/2009 10:12

WHERE IS EVERYBODY TODAY!??!?!?!?

hotterpotter · 16/11/2009 11:38

Dizzy that is fantastic news

I think the Wii fit is OK if you use it on hard floor, and even if you don't it's not that unreliable. Still, GET SOME PROPER SCALES!!!!!!

Sazz that's great that you are 1 down after the weekend, think you should deffo be OK for Friday at this rate

VG good to see you are focussed, and I do agree about the

I am up 1lb on Friday which is way less than usual despite medium bread intake so hoping against hope that I might make 12 stone this week...

Seems like everyone is feeling good and positive about things

I posted a longish message on Saturday but PIL's internet connection crapped out because of the weather and I lost it all Re. food as reward: when you're a mum of small kids you need rewards sometimes and food is the most obvious thing to go for. It's quick, readily available and doesn't affect your ability to parent safely (unless you count mountaineering DC hiking up the cupboards to get to your stash). So it's a hard habit to break. Agree with VG, time is the real prize but finding that down the local shop is a bit more difficult!

The rewards from exercise are less tangible or immediate, so it's harder to remember that they are there. That's my theory anyway.

Having said that, no exercise (or indeed ExerSazz) for me until this poxy virus shifts, I don't want to prolong the bastard any further. I have cut down quite a lot on alcohol though, it's really my enemy when I'm prone to low mood.

Fab news on the 10lbs dizzy though if due to superflu not a nice way to get there. It's a cracking amount to start the week with though!

cyteen sorry you are still feeling icky too, I agree about exercise - I have discovered it is essential to my mental health. How I wish I had discovered that Gorgonzola on water biscuits with a nice glass of port was essential to my mental health... but no, it's the running.

hotsy hope you make your target this week I have to try to stay off the bread this week too, it's crept back in lately, with its vile accomplice, butter...

Ran 8K this morning - slowly, at 53mins, but I am not bovvered as I am happy to have made the distance and happy to have head my heart pumping for 53 minutes. I always find I can do an extra bit after I've had a rest (a rather long one this time) so am pleased, as had intended only 7.5 today. Boredom, though, as hadn't updated podcasts so was listening to ds1's music .

I'll find out re. total imm.

Gosh I wouldn't be able to do it without a soundtrack, though usually it's Woman's Hour (45 mins) which doesn't exactly get you pounding the pavement. Oddly I find a reggae beat suits my footfall .

My legs are tired today so I will do something easy maybe 5K and one of the other machines or something .

Your lamb sounds nice, was just wondering what could put together for supper myself.

820 calories that's amazing, well done And now you can have a little swim a home [sorry]

I upped my distance last night and did 14 miles in 37 minutes, and this morning was back down to Friday's weight so looking a bit more positive for Friday.

And I've been to the local charity shop today and come home with a top and some jeans, both size 14, both fit Well the jeans (which are a fetching teal colour) are way too short but if they still fit me next spring I'll make em into clam diggers

woohoo Sazzles that's brilliant! (About your running I mean though obviously also excellent re. Coke machine man) gosh you are not even supposed to be at 10K till the week after next!!! I feel very lazy now, after my 8k yesterday I did a mere 5k today, won't get to gym tomorrow at all - work. Will do Thur though.

Well done x a million.

dizzydixies · 17/11/2009 19:49

well done Sazz - have managed grapes/banana/pineapple with greek yogurt with a hint on honey and some neurofen plus (not sure of their calorific content though)

hotterpotter · 18/11/2009 20:03

You poor Dizzywizzwash , you're really suffering aren't you. It is shit but just think of all the extra calories you are avoiding by being laid up

Sazz I lay down in exhaustion awe at your feet You are, aptly, the ExerSazz queen.

I did another 14 miles yesterday and hoping to do it again in a few minutes. Might give myself the night off as going to Newcastle tomorrow for work and won't get home until nearly 7, but swimming on Friday will get me up to 4 ExerSazzes. Plus I just got weighed after tea [fool] so as long as I can swerve the buffet tomorrow things are looking good for Friday...

Off to John Lewis too on my way home just in case they have that coat in stock. Fingers crossed please

hotterpotter · 18/11/2009 20:05

I mean I might give myself the night off tomorrow, off on the bike now. But it's sooooo boring

OP posts:
dizzydixies · 18/11/2009 20:15

hots, yes and frankly am no longer doing it in silence

is your bike in front of the tv or do you have an ipod at least?

hotterpotter · 18/11/2009 20:21

I have an ipod, and have got quite good at going fast while playing solitaire

DS keeps stirring so I'm not sure if I should risk waking him up. Might leave it 10 minutes [excuses]

OP posts:
hotterpotter · 19/11/2009 07:03

Unfortunately the buffet was replaced by individual servings of lunch which was a bit so I ended up with cheese & mayo sandwich, v bad, a chunk of quiche, vv bad, a chicken gougon and a vegetable samosa . I did run to the station on the way back though...No chance to go on the bike either as I didn't get home until 7 due to arse bastards Northern Rail then had to help with bedtime and have my tea. So tired I am off to bed in a minute but will pack swimming things for tomorrow.

Oh and the lovely coat was sold out and none of the others were nice enough. I did try on a couple though, both fitted OK just not what I wanted, both size 14

Well done on your fabulous exercising today Sazz, does your daily weighing female intuition lead you to expect a decent result tomorrow?

Dizz here's to more sickly slimming for you too just to really encourage you to stick at it once you are recovered!
