AuntieMaggie · 01/08/2009 22:34

Aww sorry to hear that Ria

Plan has gone a bit askew already this week but hopefully will stick to it tomorrow and the rest of the week.

TitsalinaBumsquash · 02/08/2009 13:09

Oh Ria, poor you. Have a very un MN hug.

The plan has been a bit squiffy this week i haven't gone over my syns but im not hopefull, although i say that every week lol!

I have had a swim and a 2 mile walk up hill this week, i shall possibly swim again tommorrow, body magic and all that.

Roast Chicken today its a Green day though so only a few slices with loads of veg.

RiaButterflew · 02/08/2009 19:52

thanks for the hugs and sympathy, it helps.

plan had gone arse up by teatime yesterday. am taking tonight off too and will be back on plan tomorrow, and might even ban booze til the weekend (that could be a step too far though)

had a nice day out today with dsis and that has helped cheer me up too.

Sparkler · 02/08/2009 22:49

Hi everyone. I've been following Slimming World on and off for years (Hi Christie if you are still out there! - lol). I've joined groups seven times in all and each time I've got to a certain point where my willpower has gone right down and even knowing I've got a weigh in night coming up doesn't motivate me and I end up eating crap the night before, even hours before, I step on the scales. A couple of months ago I gave up going again. I have quite a lot of weight to lose and just don't know what I'm going to do to get myself on track.
I have reached that stage again where in the past I would be rejoining group again but I told myself if I leave after the seventh time I wouldn't be going back again. I'm feeling extremly fat and frumpy, clothes are tight and I feel lethargic - I know from experience that eating healthier makes me feel so much more energetic. Why I go downhill I'll never know - habit I guess.
So tomorrow morning - I have some food diary sheets left over to fill out - I shall be giving it a go by myself and hopefully I can shift some of this weight. I feel that as I know the plan so well after all this time, there's just as much chance of me doing it myself than going to group. Wish me luck. Yikes!
PS - Does anyone have the recent SW website password please? Thanks.

RiaButterflew · 03/08/2009 00:05

hi sparkler - do I "know" you from previous SW threads? (have been on and off myself for over 2 years - that's why I joined MN, and then I got PG with DS3, so stayed)

I think stripey said it was pasta this week.

I am hoping to be back on plan tomorrow. Have been really down and lethargic lately, and someone else said they have this when no exercising and eating crap. I certainly haven't exercised or followed plan very closely since the week before my holiday, so am hoping a change will help.

I don't know about motivation. I was using a wedding we have been invited to for my goal, but I have a feeling we won't be able to go, so that is making me feel less like sticking to it

I need some "green therapy" I think. will try to get for a walk on the beach tomorrow. Not green, but the waves will hep.

Sparkler · 03/08/2009 09:02

Ok it's Monday morning! Good luck all!

AuntieMaggie · 03/08/2009 09:05

Ria - I've been feeling the same (lethargic and down) and have lost my motivation.

I have started to resent having to do this to be thin

Have still been mostly following the plan but have been led astray at various points.

Sat in a dreary office all day isn't helping - isn't even as if I can go for a walk at lunch cos the weather is so awful

I have bought the following meat this week - any ideas what I can do with it? Or even better want to cook it for me?

Pork chops
Chicken Breast
Beef chunks (stewing stuff)
Beef sizzle steaks

TitsalinaBumsquash · 03/08/2009 09:12

Stuff your Breasts with Herbs or Cheese maybe Mushrooms or wilted Spinach, then Roast them yummy!

Stir Fry your sizzle steaks.

Marinate your Chops in Honey Mustard? (don't know mow many syn this is, not a lot i think?)

Stew your other Beef in a slow cooker?

grinningbee · 03/08/2009 10:48

Hello everyone, mind if I join the happy throng?

I was here (hello Sparkler) up until July last year, and had lost 42 pounds.... then I got my BFP . She's now 17 weeks old.

I'm only a few pounds over the weight I'd got to, but still need to lose a good 5 stone. I do the plan myself rather than go to classes. I've bought some recipe books from ebay, and am going to do a nice big shop this week.

With any luck I will be interrupted again with a BFP (should dd ever sleep and give us the chance!!!) but I need to shift some of my now saggier lumps and bumps

grinningbee · 03/08/2009 10:52

P.S Anyone know what extras you can have if bf'ing??

If it includes a chunky kitkat, so much the better

TheNatty · 03/08/2009 11:01

book marking, starting on thursday at the local group.

never done anything like this b4, ive always done things like slimfast. but bf, so want something healthy

AuntieMaggie · 03/08/2009 11:18

I hope that's my chicken breasts you're talking about tits

ursulashipton · 03/08/2009 12:25

sorry grinningbee, I will try to look in my box of tricks today, the weekend kind of caught up with me.

On plan so far

ursulashipton · 03/08/2009 12:50

Ria here BTW. fancied a change.

ConnieComplaint · 03/08/2009 20:13

Hi everyone

I've been offline as we were swapping internet providers

Last week I stayed the same This week (WI Wed) will prob have a gain.

Got my dress, shoes & bag for the wedding. Good news is the dress is a size 12!! Bad news is that it must be huge sizing as even the 16 is Monsoon still don't zip on me!!!!!!!

ursulashipton · 04/08/2009 10:36

WI today, only 1 1/5lb on from the holiday, so not too bad, but am a bit cross with myself as I didn't have anything to eat that was worth a gain enjoyment-wise, it was just laziness

don't think I'll manage my stone off for back-to-school week. I was so hoping to be under 16st for the wedding (even if it was only 1/2lb under!).

too tired to move today (DH was being an arse yesterday, I am tired from going to bed early to avoid a row, but didn't sleep well because of crossness!)

ursulashipton · 04/08/2009 11:42

griningbee, have found the HE's for BF -

Up to 2 months - 3 additional HEs

2 to 3 months - 4

4 to 6 months if starting to wean - 3

4 to 6 months
if breast milk is the only source of nutrient for your baby - 4

Over 6 months when weaning - 1

so it's 2 a's, 2 b's, plus the above, have all 15 syns, and it' recommended that 2 ofthe additional HEs are milk/cheese.

HTH.

there is a full page on the website.

grinningbee · 04/08/2009 11:43

Thanks Ursula, if you could have a peep for me that would be brilliant.

I'm having a last couple of days off plan while we finish eating all the wicked things in the cupboards, and then it won't be replaced!

I'm hoping going back to eating better will make me feel more lively too. Mind you, dd last night waking at 2am, 4am and every couple of minutes after that doesn't help I suppose!

grinningbee · 04/08/2009 11:44

Oooops, cross posts.
Thank you ever so much. I tried looking on the website but couldn't find it.

grinningbee · 04/08/2009 11:48

Gosh, that's a lot of milk/cheese isn't it.

I'm not drinking/eating anywhere near enough of those at the mo. I love milk so it won't be a problem!

I'm going to try and hold off weaning until the magic 6 months... if my nips haven't fallen off before then from all the biting/pulling

ursulashipton · 04/08/2009 12:02

it's a hell of a lot of milk/cheese. I don'tmind milk, but need crunchy nut cornflakes/digestve biscuits/lemon tarts to go with it. And the only cheese I eat is on pizza as I don't like it. No wonder I put on 2 stone after DS2 was born really

MissShiraz · 04/08/2009 15:48

Hiya All,

Please can i join in?

I'm Becs and mummy to my two Gorgeous LO's Georgia-Mae (5) and Gabriel (4.5 months)

I rejoined slimming world in June and am having a real struggle. I've only lost 8lbs so far (went away for a long weekend and ate families babq's and breakfasts as couldn't starve for 3 nights came back 3.5lbs heavier!!), had to miss weigh in today as DP is working and we only have one vehicle at the moment and the buses from our village do not run until after morning class has started and then finish before the evening class [hmmm]

Last year i lost 1.5 stone and went on holiday, found out 4 weeks later i was pg.

Gabriel is now here, we've since moved and i've joined a new group. I know SW like the back of my hand and cook some amazing food - but WINE is my problem! Since i didn't drink for 9 months i'm really making up for it and need to stop. But dp keeps buying it and i keep joining him for glasses when i know i shouldn't!(although i'm not an alchie!) And we've eaten out alot lately!

It's now 6 weeks to our holiday to Rhodes (we were going to Cyprus in 9 weeks but the operators messed up our booking big style so we've changed everything) so 3 weeks less and i need to get my backside into gear pronto!

HELP, BIG KICK AND ENCOURAGEMENT NEEDED XXX

ursulashipton · 04/08/2009 18:18

hey MissShiraz, welcome. I have a DS named that too, he is 2 though.

I had a nap with DS3 and now I'm starving. Whoops.

I like a glass or several of wine, but TBH, I don't think it's think drink that's my problem, it's the nibbles I feel I should have with it

ConnieComplaint · 04/08/2009 21:29

Welcome MissS Love your children's names, very pretty

Hey Ria, 1.5 gain is good for a holiday!!! Especially when it wasn't great weather, as all I want to do in bad weather is to eat n eat n eat... get the idea?

I had a call from my sister tonight, telling me we were going on a girlie night out on Sat night!! I offered to drive, knowing it's the only way I won't get so drunk that I'll need carried home!! I have no self control you see!!! I then rung & booked a spray tan for Thursday & am planning on wearing a new top I got last week... eeekkk I never go out, don't know what's in fashion & what's not!!

SW still going a bit wobbly.. though I am keeping up the walk/run thing, which I am pleased about
