Have a great hol Val!

Connie - I did get a few compliments from people who I have not seen for about a year as have lost about 3 stone in that time...unfortunately there was a mistake when the dresses were ordered and they ended up actually being maternity dresses - so they werent very flattering, and a bit of an unfortunate shade of pink, but losing the weight definitely helped improve the look slightly!!

thanks for the password, i am going to be back onto the online diary on the website tomorrow and starting from scratch again!

ConnieComplaint · 26/07/2009 14:13

Oh, I didn't even know you could get maternity b'maid dresses!! Shows how much I know!!

I was at pub yesterday with Dh (well last night, I went to pick him up & ended going in for about 2 hours!! as you do )
I just had water & cola & was asked at least 3 times why I wasn't drinking!! One woman even asked if I was ready for number 3! (I have 2 wee ones) Imagine, the effing cheek!

I felt good though, I wore the new jeans I bought a couple of weeks ago, a black vest top & a short grey cardi, and there was no over bulge!!! I was chuffed, and quite surprised that I walked into a pub alone, as 6 months ago I would never have had the confidence to do that!

Weekend food wise not too bad thankfully Dh wanted a chinese last night after the pub, but I said I'd make toast and jam when I got home... it's his fave comfort food So I was able to have my HEB!!! HAd a really busy day shopping with my mam & my sister, had very little to eat, so felt good at avoiding a chinese & chips in the middle of the day with them, mam had fish n chips, my sis had a chip butty...she follows SW too!

ProfYaffle · 26/07/2009 19:55

LOL @ Connie fibbing on the sparkly place! I've had a mixed weekend, went running today and had a really good 40 min session, was v pleased with myself. Then we had a big family day out so following SW was quite hard (the Twix this afternoon didn't help either ) BUT we were walking around for 5hrs solid so I'm really really hoping that and the run have cancelled it out a bit.

I'm away on holiday from next weekend, think it's going to be tough to stick to SW this week as I'm getting in the holiday spirit already!

AuntieMaggie · 27/07/2009 12:41

This weekend I have had lasagne, chips, kfc, crisps, chocolate, profiteroles, vodka, wine and cider amongst other things!

It all felt good at the time but today I feel sick.

My friends that were coming to stay for a night ended up staying all weekend so SW went out of the window!

I haven't had a piece of fruit since Thursday and the only veg I've had was in the cavery I had yesterday!

Feel so sick today and my tummy hurts - have had a can of coke to try to settle it (used to work!) but no joy. I'm sure my stomach can't handle lots of grease or sugar any more!

So today I am trying to stick to it but not sure how much I'll actually eat feeling like this!

TitsalinaBumsquash · 27/07/2009 18:50

Evening everyone.

I am doing ok this week, i have been good! I am going to WI tommorrow.

Last week i got chased and verbaly abused by some twat on a motorbike, i was really scared! He wanted to turn into a road but didn't indercate so i overtook him as the road was clear and he folled me touching my back bumper for 15 mins (i was trying to keep going so he would give up) even tually i pulled over in a bust place so i was afe and he just started spewing abuse at me, i had to lock the doors and call the police it was awful. I was shaking to much to drive the rest of the way home.
I hope i don't meet him again tommorrow on the way home.

I thought i would try cereal for breakfast so i got some Honey Nut Shreddies for a HEB but you get such a tiny amount in the bowl its not worth it! I would rather eat fruit and yoghurt and save my HEs for Lunch and dinner!

I am hoping for at least a pound off tommorrow. keeping my fingers crossed!

TitsalinaBumsquash · 27/07/2009 18:53

AuntieMaggie - My stomach is totaly different since i started SW, i used to devour a whole family size Pizza and Sides but now im full after 2 slices, greasy food maes my feel queasy if i have to much.

I have been having the Shape yoghurts, they are really thick and creamy and they really do fill you up for longer. I would reccomend them as especailly as they are on BOGOF at Tesco at the moment and they are FREE!

rosieposey · 28/07/2009 10:34

Hello - still trying to do slimming world but am really confused by the extra easy plan, just wondered if anyone knew the answer to a question i have?

It says that you should fill a third of your plate with superfree foods but if you are having curry and rice or spag bol how do you do this? Sorry to sound a bit dumb but in the booklet only some of the plates pictured seem to have the superfree foods (for example the cooked breakfast has eggs,bacon,sausages,1 mushroom and beans on it so definately not a third of superfree foods on that one) is it only some meals that you can do that with? Help im confused!
Thanks very much

fuzzypeach · 29/07/2009 09:05

tits you poor thing, that must have been terrifying, i hope your ok and you dont come across him today.. ive had a couple of simlar (but not as scary) experiences of that, one with a cyclist who drove furiously behind me to keep up and when i ad to stop in traffic was kicking my car and pulled the wing mirrors off, just because he decided to suddenly cross the road infront of me without checking if anyone was behind him! Another was when I was very pregnant, someone cut me up at a roundabout and I beeped at him as I nearly crashed and he slammed his breaks on in the middle of the roundabout, swerved his massive 4x4 to block me off and got out and came storming towards me, i was terrified, so i drove onto the roundabout to get past him lol... i was shaking so much though i had to pull over and be sick anyway just wanted to say i feel for you as it is not a nice thing to happen!!

rosie im not really sure on EE as i gave up after not losing much on it - but im going to stick to that when i reach target to maintain - anyway i think you just have to assume and veg etc thats superfree and within your curry/pasta sauce as a third, and try to put extra in etc to make it so?

Started again on monday after my week off - I put 6lbs on in that week - how is that even possible? Im sure there is something wrong with me - if im not following a strict diet i put on like a lb a day even if i dont eat that badly!!!! surely that cant be normal??

Anyway staying focused now! Am meant to be going to the gym when Dh gets back from playing golf, but feeling a bit sick so not sure if its such a good idea!!

Tortington · 29/07/2009 09:06

how many points would this burger be?

TitsalinaBumsquash · 29/07/2009 09:08

I have never got to grips with EE! I stick to Red and Green days and only have the ocassional EE day.

1lb off last night, i really need to get this next 1lb off next week for my 1 stone award! Thats my mini target!

Any tips for that extra boost this week? Any words of wisdom?

I am going to atempt (haha) to have only 10 syns rather than the 15 i usualy have a day.

Fruit and yoghurt for brekkie and probably Eggs for lunch, then DP has requested Risotto for Dinner but i need something to go with it, usually we have Chicken or Pork Chops or something...

ProfYaffle · 29/07/2009 09:11

What about a couple of Success Express days?

(Custy, we don't have points, you're thinking of WW)

fuzzypeach · 29/07/2009 09:17

cvustard0's link is nothing to do with burgers, but camels?? something not quite right with that i think...

Tortington · 29/07/2009 09:55

thers burger references

  • yip points ww. darn it

ok would it be a 'red day' then

rosieposey · 29/07/2009 11:12

Yeah its all a bit confusing - i have the success express booklet but isnt that just like EE? Oh sod it i think ill stick to red and green days too and if i need to be able to have carbs and protein ill either syn it or make a lucky guesstimate for the day

As for syns i used 7 yesterday but as this is my first 'proper' week for sticking to SW im trying to save a paltry few so i can get sozzled this weekend at a party - i love wine but they 'cost' so much synwise i think im going to have to spend them on Voddy. Does it matter if you have 15 syns anyway? I can quite easily spend them but am worried i wont loose anything if i use them all,

AuntieMaggie · 29/07/2009 12:23

Rosie - mix to max is good too - you stick to red or green at each meal and still can have 4 healthy extras. You have to syn anything that isn't a superfree food that you have between meals though but it works for me as I tend to snack on fruit.

EE you can only have 1 of each healthy extra but can eat red and green stuff together - don't remember anything about having to have a 3rd superfree food though.

Isn't sucess express 2 thirds superfree food and all healthy extras?

rosieposey · 29/07/2009 13:49

AuntMaggie i think im doing it right, I have had yogurt and fruit for breakfast, pasta and egg SW quiche with salad for lunch and for dinner i was going to have my two HEb's in terms of chicken for dinner and then make it in to a curry (syn the jar of sauce) bombay potatoes (4 and a half syns for shwartz packet) so that the potatoes, tinned tomatoes and the rice was free. Tell me if im bending the rules to suit lol but honestly i would appreciate knowing if im doing it properly before i give the mix to max/success express/extra easy stuff a go.

I always thought that as long as you stayed green throughout the day that you could, if you wanted use both healthy extras as meat and just syn any sauces ect ect (hence my idea of having steak with peppercorn sauce, jacket potato and a huge salad for dinner tomorrow )

Ohhh can you also tell me if when you are doing the mix to max or the extra easy the superfree food is generally fruit and veg - are the mueller light yogurts superfree too?

ProfYaffle · 29/07/2009 13:50

Yes, SE is 2/3 superfree and all the HE's.

Custy - Camel burgers would be fine on a red day, though if you want a bun it'd have to be Extra Easy

ProfYaffle · 29/07/2009 13:52

Rosie - superfree includes egg, Quorn, tofu, and low fat dairy like yoghurt, cottage cheese, Quark etc. When I do SE (which isn't often!) I tend to make stuff like Quorn chilli and have 2/3 that and 1/3 rice or SW quiche is good too.

rosieposey · 29/07/2009 14:14

Ah ok i wasnt sure if you were allowed the flavoured yogurts like ML or not but that makes it a bit easier as i only snack on them and fruit anyway.

Just seems to me that if i stick to green days and use my HE for meat at dinner and my syns for sauces ect i can get away with eating more or less a 'normal' dinner.

I am addicted to currys and have tried the SW own recipe ones but they aren't hot enough for me so i just syn a nice hot one usually but i thought as there is no veg involved in tonights meal that i might be bending the rules a bit with regards to a green day given that i havent got the hang on these other plans yet. Bugger this is confusing! (but thanks for the advice!!!)

TitsalinaBumsquash · 30/07/2009 07:57

I have some lovely Prawns, not sure what to do with them!

I am just sticking to Fruit and Yoghurt for breakfast, i use my HEB's at lunch and dinner so don't want to have them at breakfast for toast or a measly amount of cereal.

I went for a nice swim last night, i haven't been for ages and forgot how much i enjoy it, i go with my mum and natterign all the way doesn't make engths seem so hard! I can do a good few without even realising.
I shall definatley be going more reguarly in the mornings when the kids are both back to school

AuntieMaggie · 30/07/2009 20:24

Ooh there was a recipe for a spicy one in a mag - I'll try and dig it out for you rosie... I made it for me and DP but forgot to halve the spice measures as were only cooking half the meat!!!

I have put on half a pound... not bad for a week like I've had!

Any tips for getting motivated for the upcoming week though? I still feel bleurgh and tired.

fuzzypeach · 30/07/2009 21:41

sorry cvstard0 - i didnt read it properly and thought you were making a joke think i need to wake up more before i post in future ...

tullytwo · 31/07/2009 18:11

Anyone know the password this week?

tullytwo · 01/08/2009 11:08

Anyone?

RiaButterflew · 01/08/2009 15:32

last weeks was chicken, still working for me today.

have gained on holiday, not sure how much, but I have, so back on plan today. Didn't have a great week. As soon as we arrived DH got a message to say his DD had been rushed to hospital after a riding accident, so he left on Sunday morning to come home, and my parents joined us a day early. The weather wasn't great so no long walks or BBQ-ed meat and salad. It was nice to be away, but it just didn't work out how we'd hoped

Got back last night. Had a takeaway with DH and I didn't really enjoy it

Think I need to kick my misery away ATM
