LTR - flexi syns basically means you give yourself a certain number of syns, even if it's 50 for one evening, and stick to it. The theory being you stay in control and don't get that "fuck it" feeling of having broken the rules and then go and break a whole load more, iyswim.

Officially, you're not supposed to save up syns because that's too much like a diet and you're not supposed to 'punish' yourself for having a flexi day.

However, if I've gone over I'll either do Success Express or have zero syns for a couple of days because I figure the calories have got to somewhere.

EvansMummy - On EE you can eat free foods from red and green days together, anything with a syn value you take the lower value whether that's red or green. But you can only have one he a and b.

Fuzzy - tbh I think you'd have to eat a heck of a lot of fruit to sabotage your weight loss but I think theoretically it's possible!

By some miracle I've lost a 1lb this week after all my high living last weekend, oh, and another bbq yesterday I have uppsed my exercise to 4 sessions a week though which may be why.

fuzzypeach · 28/06/2009 09:47

well done prof!

my consultant told me that you can save your syns for the weekend, and a few of my friends do this

Ive been really good all week so hoping it shows at weigh in tomorrow, although saying that we are off to pizza express for lunch today.....

TitsalinaBumsquash · 28/06/2009 10:25

Terrible week so far, DP not great at cooking and after having to look after both kids, me and the house work we have been resorting to take aways!

Im not to bothered, i haven't been eating vast ammounts so hopefully the fallout wont be to bad.

I havent been posting a lot recently, this threaf istaking longer to load each time! Plus its hard to type with one hand, especailly my non dominant hand.

Dazmum · 28/06/2009 11:49

Evansmummy, if you have pasta on a green day, or on an EE day, its free, it's only
if you are doing an original day you have to weigh and syn it. I am always rubbish at weekends too!

misdee · 28/06/2009 11:55

anyone else doing extra easy and finding it weird? i was on sw 18months ago but stopped when pregnant with dd4. restarted a few weeks ago. am mainly doing extra easy as it fits ibn with family life, but keep confusing m,yself. i get an extra HE as am breastfeeding dd4, but cant have dairy. its all very odd and am finding it hard. mind you we had a birthday and fathers day since i strarted, so have eaten out a lot

evansmummy · 28/06/2009 17:32

I think I'm just gonna write off the EE, sounds way too complicated.

I know about weighing pasta only a red, my prob is i love pasta and meat sauces, so i have to either weigh my pasta or my meat, which is jsut depressing.

Remind me of Success Express? Might give that a go this week.

Well done for people's losses, and good luck for next week's weigh ins.

fuzzypeach · 28/06/2009 20:24

iloved EE when I gave it a go - the only thing was although I lose 4lb the first week, I maintained for another 3 weeks, so I went back to the old way. To be honest it didnt really feel like a diet, only that I was limiting my dairy/cereal intake and not adding any processed foods to my diet...

does anyone know this weeks password?

misdee · 28/06/2009 20:44

vanilla.

fuzzypeach · 28/06/2009 20:56

thanks misdee x

LovingTheRain · 28/06/2009 21:34

I ate birthday cake today and now feel a bit crappy. Given me stomach ache and it was way too sickly!

Have been looking back at my food diary and have been eating so much better recently, the cake was bad. Atleast that will stop me at DDs party next week (maybe)

ConnieComplaint · 28/06/2009 23:13

Hi everyone, sorry I've been AWOL for a wee while.

Good news -my nephew got out of hospital, though still has twice weekly trips for physio which is good!

I lost 1lb at Wednesday night's weigh-in which I was happy with... I usually follow EE but to be honest I do find the weight slower to come off whilst following it... though now I'm going to contradict myself entirely by saying that when I follow EE I very rarely gain weight, just a steady loss.

I haven't been well since yesterday morning, sore head, ears, throat, neck.. feel really lousy. I was up half the night crying with pain & I had a very high temp. I dosed myself with tabs & medicine this morning though my throat is still killing me. I had a peach earlier and it felt like it had been laced with razor blades.

Prof - well done on the loss

Tits - You'll be fine, the odd take away won't make that much of a difference to your weight loss, to be honest I would still have a chinese take away at least twice a month when on SW & I try to stick to lower synned dishes like chow mein.

Rialentless · 29/06/2009 01:46

connie, sounds nasty. Tonsilitis.

Hope you're recovering well tits.

I will be back tomorrow to glost bore you with tales of my weekend of activity and hardly any beer!

oftenpurple · 29/06/2009 07:26

Having trouble staying the course this week! Too many things to do out of the house are causing havoc and DH can't get his head round no fat in the cooking. So, while he very kindly cooked dinner last night as we were running late, he fried the lamb (!).

Anyway, more focused today and have made up a pot of soup so lunch is sorted. We're running errands and then swimming this afternoon so a quick pasta tea tonight.

oftenpurple · 29/06/2009 07:28

Connie, that does sound like tonsilitus! I had a terrible bout of it two weeks ago and ended up in hospital for three days. I'd get to the docs quick.

Rialentless · 29/06/2009 09:52

sorry Connie, that was meant to be "tonsilitis?" (serves me right for posting when I get up for painkillers.

Feeling positive today, and am planning a halo-shining day ready for weigh in tomorrow. There is a packet of thasi sweet chilli sensations in the drawer, and they are staying there til tomorrow

TitsalinaBumsquash · 29/06/2009 10:01

I have no appetite! I haven't had a proper meal since Friday! Im not hungry, i have picked at a Chinese and a couple of cheese triangles, but that is it..... Im shocked usually im stuffing my face all day.

ConnieComplaint · 29/06/2009 12:11

Thanks girls.. I rang doc first thing this morning & had an appointment for 9.30am. Doc thought it was a flu type viral thing & just give me pain killers....and a week off work!

I have to say that when I called work they weren't very happy... don't know what to do now, as I'm all doped up on the pain killers and don't feel as bad, but the doc said I would be very smittal for about 4 days. As I work with the public I'd be better staying off, wouldn't I?

(Catholic guilt is a terrible thing)

ProfYaffle · 29/06/2009 12:32
