New thread as old kept crashing mine and tits' PCs!

OP posts:
ProfYaffle · 18/06/2009 14:32

Weighed myself this morning, 1lb on not surprising I suppose given all that I ate last weekend plus it's a star week. Difficult weekend ahead too with house guests and carnival thingie. dh is making carrot cake fgs!

TTM - are you still there? How does SW sound?

Tits - Do you think a mini target would help? Personally I don't think the extra 'pressure' would do me much good but that's me.

dyzzidi - Latest password posted was netball. Not sure about dumplings I'm afraid, I don't like them much!

dyzzidi · 18/06/2009 14:34

I am just lazy lol i have done the casserole in the slow cooker so wanted everything in the one pot! Also i have not told DP I am trying to loose weight as he is normally wanting takeouts when he is home and i found last time when i did WW this really hindered me. I figure that after looking at the SW books i could do healthy teas that he won't actually notice are 'diet' food. we eat a lot of veg anyway!

ProfYaffle · 18/06/2009 17:41

dyzzidi - SW is good like that, it's really easy to disguise as 'normal' food, especially if you do Extra Easy. I've had people staying here and they've not realised I'm dieting. Takeaways and eating away from home in general is really hard on SW though (imho)

AuntieMaggie · 18/06/2009 19:06

Hi everyone and welcome dyzzidi

I am one smug SW member after losing 2.5lbs

And after going away and lots of cider and having my period! Now I just need to keep it off and stay on track!

But for tonight I am having pork chops in a marinade made by cottage delight that someone gave me for xmas in a gift set - it has no nutrition info on it and can't find it on the website!

fuzzypeach · 18/06/2009 20:03

Tits - I have set myself a target to try to lose 1 stone in 4 weeks - which is a lot i know!! But its my aim, so if I can do as much as I can in that time then I will be pleased with that... I am being a bridesmaid in 4 weeks you see so I want to look my best!

Ive been really good today, had some cherries and a banana for breakfast, then a salad with rocket, peppers, cherry toms, spring onion, sweetcorn and red cabbage without dressing (this is major for me, i put dressing/sauce on everything!!!!!!) and for tea I have had chilli and tomato pasta and some raspberries and melon for after!

Im still bloody staring though!!!!

small dumplings are approx 4 syns like tiny yorkshire puds aren't they?

does anyone else have real trouble sticking to plan when there is a "hiccup" with their DC or is that just me? Had a really good day today - lovely red day cooked breakfast about 10am (I had some m'sons sausages in the freezer from a previous diet attempt), did some manic cleaning afterwards that gave me a real "high" so I wasn't hungry at the boys teatime (or before), then DS3 decides he doesn't fancy sleeping tonight, and I've blown the whole day with crisps and kitkat Also star week.

bugger.

Tomorrow is DS3s birthday too, and while the planned party picnic is off, I don;t know what plans we have, except having to be in town really early for an appointment. Will just have to try my best.

I was hoping to be at my club 10 by the end of July, I have slightly less than a stone to go. My current goal is a wedding in September - I would like to look a bit nicer and be approx 1 stone lighter than my club 10.

ProfYaffle · 19/06/2009 06:35

What is Club 10? Is it 10% of your starting body weight?

AuntieMaggie · 19/06/2009 08:36

yes Prof - it's the first target they give you when you go to a class.

ProfYaffle · 19/06/2009 09:35

Thanks. I've not been to a class which is pro bably why I haven't heard about it. I did postal SW and my phone consultant didn't mention anything about it.

AuntieMaggie · 19/06/2009 17:03

Anyone here? Going to tesco in a mo, got about 50 quid to spend - any ideas what I should get?

Rialentless · 19/06/2009 17:56

pasta, rice, veg, salad, quorn, eggs, fruit, yogurts, frylite

Not very adventurous am I?

ConnieComplaint · 19/06/2009 21:51

Hello!

Sorry not been around for a while ~ this damn thing they call real life keeps geting in the way!

I didn't make it to my Wed night class so went to weigh in on Thur morning! Had 1lb off Though feel like I've cheated by getting weighed in on the morning & having ate no breaky.

The bad thing was though, I treated yesterday as if I could eat whatever I wanted... I had 2 small (miniscule!) biscuits with coffee at 10am at work... then dh came & had lunch with me in the cafe down the road, I did ok, having a baked potato with cheese n beans... then I had a mahoosive slice of cheese cake

When I came home we had sausages (not the low fat kind) with beans and a fried egg... then I had a bag of disco crisps

Today I have had nothing but free foods and however many syns are in a stock cube!! Do you think I can make up for yesterday's badness if I am an angel the rest of the week?

Well done everyone on their weight losses so far!!!!!

AuntieMaggie · 19/06/2009 22:52

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

On the way back from shopping we witnessed an accident and not long got home, so as well as having defrosted food I've had fish and chips for tea

I had chicken in th fridge that needed to be used today so thats more food wasted too.

Connie - a lot of stock cubes are now free.

Rialentless · 19/06/2009 23:11

can you bung the chicken in the oven now and have it cold tomorrow? was it a bad accident? are you ok?

stock cunes surely can't be that bad? it's not as if you're putting the thing in your mouth and eating it? it is well dissolved surely (maybe this attitude is why I don't get anywhere)

annoyingdevil · 19/06/2009 23:15

aaaargh, just drank 1/2 bottle of red wine and eaten 2 Snickers bars

Rialentless · 19/06/2009 23:16

V strange day here. Went into town, had a bakers pasty and a pink iced finger for lunch

Then decided due to lack of other plans we would have a proper party tea for DS3. I made sausage rolls and mini sausages, and proper half bread buns with potted meat and egg etc. DH went to bed when we got back from town around 12.30 (he is on a lot of medication for a shoulder problem) and was still asleep when I took 2 of the boys and the birthday cake to my parents. DS3 also slept through his party tea. DS1 ate and ran as it was youth group, and DS2 is still suffering with his tonsils so didn't eat a lot. So guess which Billy-no-mates sat at the table alone and ate too much. I did resist the chocolate trifle (because it looks revolting) and only had a tiny piece of cake.

Back to it tomorrow though, and need to be really good as hopefully picnic on Sunday.

Rialentless · 19/06/2009 23:19

BTW read cunes as cubes

annoyingdevil. Dontcha just love the weekend. full sized snickers? (and I ask that in the nicest non-judgey way, at this time of night I often work to "why have only one when you can have several) Am having wine and am about to have a couple of pitta with some low fat houmous

TitsalinaBumsquash · 20/06/2009 09:00

I had a mahoosive argument with Dp yesterday, he was being totally vile soc i walked out for a bit of a breather and ended up at the shop but after picking up a Snickers i out it back and just got a can of Coke Zero.

Its all sorted for now so thats ok.

I am doing ok i saved up all my Syns yesterday so i could have some Birthday Cake with my dad, i only had a little slice and im not sure how many Syns were in it but i didn't have any others for the day and it was worth it to spend some time with my Dad on his Birthday.

If its sunny were having a BBQ on Sunday so im probably going to have a Green day today so i can have red tommorrow and have meat.

I feel i have stepped into the twilight Zone today though, i have woken up and in the space of an hour the dishes have been done, the Flat is clean and tidy and the children are behving.................... its unsettling, usually at this time on a Sunday my Flat looks the the aftermarth of a messy Childresn party and im a gibbering wreck somewhere.

I don't think im going to go for a mini target, i know if i didn't make it i would probably sabotage myself by going on a food bender, my Club 10 is 10st 2lbs and im 10.13 at the moment so im still a way off!

My Stomach is definatley shrinking though my "mummy tummy" (aka the hanging over bit of skin left by the children) has all but diasapeared and i have dropped a size.

AuntieMaggie · 20/06/2009 11:41

Tits it's saturday not sunday!

I could've cooked the chicken but couldn't be bothered.

I'm ok thanks Ria - we just witnessed it weren't involved - some drunken kid fell off his scooter and broke his leg, but apart from that didn't have a scratch on him, but took ages to give statements etc. And defo wanted to do it because he could have hurt someone. Unlike the other witnesses (car coming other way etc) who just buggered off!

I resisted alcohol though, so just had my fish and chips - though looking on the bright side that I only had half as I shared with DP - and went to bed.

Today I am struggling though. In work and its that time of the month and am really feeling it. It's worse because being on the pill most of the time I just have a light period and it passes me by barely noticed, but I am in pain today, tired, headachy and feeling clingy etc. I've only had cereal and fruit so far, and have rivita with dairylea with me for lunch but chocolate, muffins and crisps are calling out to me.

Rialentless · 20/06/2009 12:10

glad you're OK.

well done Tits (I went to school with a girl called Tits)

Don't feel like playing today. DH let me have a lie in, then got me up when he'd had enough of the kids, am having a grim star week, DH seems to be in a an arse, "stuff" isn't going well, it's raining, and my Dsis has dumped me again (for the second weekend running).

Luckily I have veggie jambalaya to heat up for lunch, and got pineapple in the Graze box yesterday (did everyone see the free box thread? think I still have the code if you're interested). Will try my best. And am going out for a walk if it kills me.

Have a good day

JennyPenny22 · 20/06/2009 12:13

AM its horrible when stuff like that happens isn't it?!

We has a gas explosion down the road yesterday and people died and/or we seriously injured. Its so scary it being 100yrds down the road from our house - where I was at home with both DDs :-(

Sorry I havent posted in a while - I have been lurking!

Am loosin weight but getting more upset about all my stretch marks. Even if I loose all the weight by holiday, I still wont feel comfortable showing it off because of the stretch marks!

ProfYaffle · 20/06/2009 23:08

Ria - you went to school with a girl called Tits? Really? Her real name? What where her parents thinking?

ConnieComplaint · 20/06/2009 23:10

Hey everyone.

AM that accident must've been a shock for you! My 13-year-old nephew had a really bad accident last Saturday & he's still in hospital, won't go into details, but suffice to say we're all worried sick, it'll be a long and slow road back to normality & we fear he may end up with problems for life, but at least he's alive, luckily.

Tits & Ria, my guess is that it's the time for men to be bastards.. my dh, who is normally the nicest man you could meet (seriously) was a real pig this evening! He cooked dinner (as I refused to go to the take away!) and what we were having was take-awayish anyway! Chinese veg, noodles and chicken... I asked him not to pour the black bean sauce in until I had my veg lifted out, as I had checked & there were 22 syns in the jar.... then I had to go & sort something out for the kids...when I came back he had poured the jar in anyway, without lifting my stuff out!!
He just said, "there couldn't be that many syns in it, you've read it wrong." I was furious..... I said I wouldn't eat it but then he started saying he was going to throw it out & I hate seeing food wasted... so I just had a pile of noodles & a small spoonful of the gloop.. I counted 5 syns for it as it wasn't anywhere near half & there were 4 people eating it..... blah!

Apart from that I've done OK today....

ProfYaffle · 20/06/2009 23:10

btw - I'm just back from Proms in the Park, pork pies, scones, clotted cream, carrot cake, vast amounts of wine. Am v happy now. Probably won't be tomorrow tho'
