New thread as old kept crashing mine and tits' PCs!

OP posts:
ConnieComplaint · 20/06/2009 23:12

She was probably titiana or something...

Mind you, I went to school with Frances, who was called Fanny.... good thing they weren't in the same class really... that'd raise a snigger each morning at registration,

Deirdre

Shauna

Tits

Fanny....

can you imagine the teenage boys sniggering??

Rialentless · 20/06/2009 23:21

sounds nice Prof (mm, scones - mean to bake some today but didn't get round to it. Probably a good thing TBH)

sorry to be misleading, she wasn't christened Tits, she was just very small with a very large chest, so it became her nickname (my chest probably larger, but even as a teenager I was well built, so not really obvious), and we used it instead of her name for at least a year (apparently herDM wanted to christen her Fanny). would quite like to call my next cat Titania but don't fancy shouting it in the street (unlike my current cat who is called Oberon - he answers to a whistle! I think he is embarrassed)

Connie, hope your nephew is OK.

And hope all DHs become "normal" again soon (is the moon doing something funny?)

I think I will be glad when this week is over and I can start afreash after what is bound to be a disasterous weigh-in.

ConnieComplaint · 20/06/2009 23:27

I'd like to call my next child Lucy. But that's neither here nor there as I doubt if we're having anymore!

I liked Millie too, but then we got the lab & called her that

Thanks for the wishes for my nephew, we'll all help him get there.

I think we're going out for dinner tomorrow, what with dh usually doing all the cooking, I reckon he might was Fathers Day off lol!

My mum told me today she could really see the weight off me, but I think it's just 'cos she had run out of things to say & I had just admired her new teapot...

TitsalinaBumsquash · 20/06/2009 23:28

Lol i have been called TitsalinaBumSquash since i was about 14 when i first moved out of home, my friends Mum called me it and it stuck.

I have been having fun in my kitchen this evening (No not like that you dirty minded ladies!) i have have been busy and now have a fridge full of Minted lamb Burgers, Roasted pepper Beef Burgers, Sticky Chicken Drumsticks, I got my utcher to knock me up some lemon and Nutmeg Sausages and i have a Tomato Salad a Wild Rice Salad, i will also make some Slat and Pepper Potato Wedges and a big Green Salad, FIL is coming round tommorrow and if its sunny were having A bbq, if not were having an indoor picnic, im gonna call it an EE day and not worry to much about it, there are plenty of fresh vegtables and herbs in there and nothing is particuarly fatty.

DP is being ok again now, we have settle the argument, although had i posted about it in AIBU i bet i would have got more people on my side but shhhhhhh we shall forget that now.

Im going to go to bed now, i have no books to read though.

TitsalinaBumsquash · 20/06/2009 23:32

DP was talking about more cildren yeaterday he says is they ever find a cure or a really effective treatment for DS1 he would like more kids.

I am going to call and girl i have Phoebe, Delilah or Hiedi.

Screwed if i ever have anymore boys i have run out of names, i always loved Christopher but thats DP's name so im out of luck. I quite like Johnny its our "family name" so it would be quite apropriate.

Loooooong, looong way off yet though.

ConnieComplaint · 20/06/2009 23:32

I think I'll head to bed shortly too. I just sat down here 'cos the kids had left it on from being on gridclub earlier!

Tits, your bbq/picnic food sounds lovely!! Enjoy it

TitsalinaBumsquash · 20/06/2009 23:34

I like the name Lucy but could never have it MIL is Lucy and she is the most vile, toxic woman i have met, luckily we haven't seen or spoken to her in 2 and a 1/2 years.

ConnieComplaint · 20/06/2009 23:35

There was a really cute baby beside me on holiday and it was called Heidi, really suited her

I like kinda plain names, like Lucy, Jane, Sara

Funny how I never really think of boys names, though I like Eoin for ds, dd soon changed that!

Two of my sisters had babies recently & it's funny how spending time with either doesn't really make me broody, but it does DH.

ConnieComplaint · 20/06/2009 23:38

Oh no I know what you mean though. When we had dd I really likes one name in particular, and as luck would have it, it was the name of dh's granny, who had died before I met him.

When I was pg with dd my SIL asked me not to use it as she wanted it for any daughter she might have & after all, it was her granny's name. So I called dd something else, it wasn't worth a fall out, but 7 years later she hasn't had any children though I'm still glad we didn't use the name for the sake of family harmony.

AuntieMaggie · 21/06/2009 12:01

Sorry to hear about the people hurt in the gas explosion and your nephew connie

I know what you mean about men going through stages of acting like bastards - it's almost like a cycle - I think I might make a note of the dates that DP does this and see if it's regular!

DP gets very broody - I went through a stage of very broody at the start of the year but it has passed but every now and then DP pipes up with "I want us to have a baby". Unfortunately for him I have other ideas for the next year like losing weight and sorting out our finances before we have children!

Rialentless · 21/06/2009 21:54

LOL @ men having mood cycles!

I have a problem in that I have really had all the babies I can afford/have room for and have SO many names left to use! Good thing I like cats...

blew it again today as am celebrating WA on my own

TitsalinaBumsquash · 21/06/2009 23:06

Hello all.

I have had a lovely day, we had good weather, great food and great company. It really was nice.
DP is really happy that he has been able to enjoy a nice day with his Dad and the rest of us as well.

I should imagine i have put on wieght but im not to bothered this week, it hopefully won't be a lot possibly even a maintain! I have a dinner out at an Italian tommorrow though, any ideads what would be best to eat for SW? I would just take the night off but i have had the whole day off today so i had best not!

Rialentless · 21/06/2009 23:17

glad you had a nice day tits we made my Dad a fried egg sandwich this morning(complete afterthought after making DH breakfast in bed) and took it round to him wrapped in foil. I think he liked that more than the book and mug we really gave him, and the giant toblerone from dsis

we have had gorgeous weather too (after cancelling the planned picnic with my parents this morning because it looked like rain, and also passed on 6 mile trek on the moors as DS2 still knocked out by his tonsilitis), we went to a National Trust place, then DH got called in to work

isn't the rule with italian - pasta with tomato based sauces, salad no dressing etc?

Have green breakfast and lunch planned tomorrow, but am secretly hoping for some kind of belated celebration meal tomorrow night. Am also thinking of weighing in tomorrow instead of Tuesday, and get to know the damage I've done this week and start dealing with it.

Rialentless · 22/06/2009 08:20

today I am going to be really good...

TitsalinaBumsquash · 22/06/2009 09:22

Me to!

I have checked on the Resturaunts website and they have a couple of dishes that aren't to bad, one is Chicken (HEB) and pasta and Tomato Suace (easy extra day?) The other is Steak Potatoes (HEB) and Green Beans......

Who knows! I fancy Steak but im not paying for it and its quite expensive, i think i shall see what the others are having first! lol.

JennyPenny22 · 22/06/2009 09:31

I am hardly eating anything ATM because I have agonising tooth ache which is efectting my whole mouth! :-( I am having it sorted tomorrow (root canal) but am having general anethetic so can't eat tomorrow morning anyway. I am a bit worried it will make me gain because although I am not eating, it will slow my matabolisim down so when I start eating again I will gain?! But I just can't bear eating and I feel ill with it - was asleep on the sofa as soon as DD went to bed at 6pm yesterday and got up when DD2 woke me up at 10 - fed and changed her and then went to bed!

Rialentless · 22/06/2009 13:38

for your toothache jenny - can you manage soup?

So much for being good, I seem to have hit self-destruct today, too much going on in my head so it's not in the right place. I'll get tomorrow over (DH gets his test results) and then I'll give myself a damned good kick.

kid · 22/06/2009 13:50

I lost 2 lb this week, even though I went out 3 times over the weekend, its a miracle but of course I am happy

AuntieMaggie · 22/06/2009 17:39

Anybody know what I can do with a huge bowl of gooseberries?

ConnieComplaint · 22/06/2009 21:41

Bloody bloody fuck and balls.

Do I look like I can fucking sew?

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.... why do I make these deals with DH? I lost the camera lead.. he's a good 'finder'. He said he'd find the lead if I sewed a hole in his jeans.

Jesus, it'd be handier to buy a new pair than have me butcher them!#

Anyway, had not too bad a day today, yesterday was a bit of a higgledy piggledy day though.... My period is due & I'm like a bear with a sore arse.

Rialentless · 22/06/2009 22:08

gooseberry fool? crumble (not very syn friendly I suppose)

LOL at bear with a sore arse Connie, the only other person I have ever heard say that is DM

Rialentless · 22/06/2009 22:13

I don't sew either, I cobble. Don't suppose you could rip them to shreds instead and make them an arty fashion statement? (I remember Dsis's slightly bohemian wedding, their best man was an artist and had spent years ripping his jeans to how he liked them - Dsis's MIL - he was staying with her - took pity on him and lovingly patched them with bits of denim and suede after she'd washed them, took her ages and he said he would never wear them again...)

Nice one kid

I am in denial.

I should slink away for a week with my tail firmly between my legs (and my jaw firmly wired shut)

JennyPenny22 · 22/06/2009 22:13

I have just weighed myself and have lost another 5lb (in 8days) have worked it out and have lost 12lb since starting SW, less than a calender month ago! Not bad considering I have always had a chocolate bar in the evening and have eaten lots of bananas and mullerlights!

I have tried to give myself a particular weighing day/time but it just doesn't work like that with 2 babies and a hubby that works shifts. I am just weighing myself roughly once a week - give or take a few days when ever I get the chance really.

tooth still agony but I am going to eat some mash potaoto with melted cheese (and possibly some beans) now as i can't eat tomorrow until after my dental treatment, which is at 12.30 but I will be completly out for about 45mins and apparently probably quite wobbly for 24hours. And apparently my teeth will still hurt for a few days from the treatment .

Rialentless · 22/06/2009 22:17

jenny (I have HUGE discomfort after a scale and polish) but on the loss. Well done.

I had lost a stone since I was at my heaviest (but I was too to write it down anywhere, so on paper I think it's about 12lb) and that was around christmas. I have had my 1/2 stone award on this go at SW though. Losing certainly helps the motivation.

JennyPenny22 · 22/06/2009 22:30

Thanks Ria and well done to you too!
