New thread for us to waffle on and moan about baby fat, without boring the others...and hopefully drop a few pounds along the way!

I am currently 11 stone - 69.8 kg
Want to be pre preg weight of 59 kg, about 9 stone 4 i think.

If everyone posts stats maybe i can do a bisou style list. (don't post weights if you don't want to! amount to lose will do!)

Weigh in on Mondays?

Hello all!
Fatty thread is revived!
I shall have to revive the fatty.xls spreadsheet...
Oops, 2 pmk style exclamations already.

So I am down to 60kg. I gave up for a bit at 61 as I had had enough, and then a month later I had lost the last kg without trying. Very strange.

I am now at the upper end of pre preg weight (the sort of weight I would complain that I was fat before, but now I am waiting til I stop bfing to sort out the last bit)

DH was also worried about his little swimmers (tee hee same name as those disposable swim nappies!) cos he does quite a lot of cycling, but they seemed to work ok!
I didn't want to tell him, actually dear, you don't really do that much cycling so it probably won't matter!

Re the whole carb thing. I don't know how it works, but I had to really cut down on carbs to lose weight. However I think this is mainly because rather than cake/chocolate, etc, my main downfall is just too much food (and cheese) It's so so easy to think that pasta is healthy for tea and just have way too much of it. So I would go with the weighing thing even though it is geeky! The whole calorie counting thing worked for me as well.

LadyT sorry to hear progress is so slow, but good to know there is progress. It's just not fun dieting is it...grrrr...

Daisy running sounds good. On the running front, I used to be really unfit (i.e. no exercise) and took up running. I did the whole running/walking thing, and then one day I just ran and kept on running, and got this feeling like I could run for ever, and it was great (obviously I couldn't run for ever, but it just stopped really hurting for the first 20 mins or so). It was such a great feeling so do perservere!

kayz sorry you have put on weight, are you going to go back to wwers?

Morning!!!!

I am going to do WW again from today! I'm completely starting again so will do the fast track week where hopefully I will lose 6lbs this week. Then go back to losing 1-2lb a week.

I am tempted to go running and to the gym.

LadyThompson · 23/07/2009 09:07

Good on yer Kayz, you can do it! Remember, just a pound a week adds up to a stack over a period of (say) 6 months!

Hello my fat friends,

How nice to all be motivating each other again.

I last posted in April when I was 11 stone 15lbs. I am now 11 stone 8lbs so I have lost 7lbs in three and a half months . I have another 5 lbs to lose to get to my pre-pregnancy weight but I look much fatter than pre-pregnancy. I am aiming to lose 8lbs so I will be 11 stone exactly. Due to my height that would give me a BMI of 21.5.

More importantly I need to tone my tummy. I have a real spare tyre . I am too tired for regular cardio exercise but I am going to stop sitting on the sofa all evenign watching TV. Instead I will lie on the floor watching TV and doing gentle pilates - not as good as cardio but it will tone me up. I did it last night and my abs ache today . Also like PMK and Summer I find carbs are the killer but I can't really restrict them due to BFing. Instead I am avoiding pasta and potatoes as they do the most damage to me, so I am mainly eating rice. Yawn, its all so long and drawn out and dull, however it is nice to have company .

Good luck everyone!

daisydora · 23/07/2009 11:16

Well done kayz - I'm off to get weighed tonight.

I haven't ever stopped going but in about 8 weeks have lost 2 lb, not great is it!

daisydora · 23/07/2009 18:04

Have put half a pound on and am so fecked off - I'm not going anymore. I bloody try and what do I get, weight on. A waste of my time and money, am so disappointed in myself .

Sorry for me, me, me-ness

As you were...

LadyThompson · 23/07/2009 18:29

Aw Daisy, that could just be a fluctuation.

We're as good as WeightWatchers!

If you caryy on as you are, bet you this time next week you are lighter. Bet you any money.

tillyfernackerpants · 24/07/2009 07:49

daisy it could be you've put on 1/2 lb if its your time of the month. My WW leader reckons that once you've been going a while you can chart your periods on your card as most people gain around that time!

SummerLightning · 24/07/2009 09:53

daisy definitely keep trying. Sometimes the weeks I tried the hardest I lost nothing or put on. Then it would suddenly go in one chunk (one chunk usually only being 2 lbs though, I never seemed to manage the 6lb losses per week that some people can!)

daisydora · 24/07/2009 18:31

I have decided NOT to give up. I was just very disappointed last night. Anyway I went for a run this morning and managed 20 mins (with a bit of walking in the middle). The first 10 minutes weren't as painful as previous days, so thats progress right?

daisydora · 24/07/2009 18:54

BTW I have been measuring myself, and have lost a couple of cm's here and there despite not losing weight.

Worth doing as it did put me in a better frame of mind when I realised my shape was changing

sybilfaulty · 26/07/2009 10:07

Having slipped into an (admittedly large) 12 trouser a few short weeks ago, I am disappointed with myself that today my 14s are not exactly loose on me. Too much wine, finishing kids' leftovers, picking on cheese etc

I am going to take myself in hand, return to fatties and give it one last push til end of Aug. I am 40 in 6 weeks and do not want to be a lard arse for that.

How is everyone else doing?

sybilfaulty · 28/07/2009 08:38

been to fatties amd have put on 2lbs so it could be worse. Am fortified with an iron resolve this week for some reason.

How is everyone esle doing?

LadyThompson · 28/07/2009 10:04

I am not weighing myself officially until Thursday or Friday. The Monday weighing thing is just too much of a downer I'll be lucky to be less than last week's 81.5 but I will try.

Syb, I am tres impressed that you can get into a 12 trouser. I wore a size 12 skirt on holiday but it must be a very big 12 as I am still wearing 16 M&S jeans and some 14 Jigsaw cords which are snug but pretty good.

Are you doing any exercise or is it just dieting? I went on a long walk yesterday, a lot of which was uphill. 'Twas knackering so must have been good. Still doing the rower every day but I don't do it for long enough!

I too am revved up for making an effort, especially as DP has a suspected fatty liver and is now on a MASSIVE diet/health drive. It's easier when you're not doing it alone.

Are you doing anything special for your 40th?

daisydora · 28/07/2009 11:26

Well I'm doing okay although we went out for a meal on Saturday with friends and ate/drunk far too much!

Have been for a 'run' Friday, Saturaday and Sunday. Had a rest yesterday but am going tonight when DH gets home. Well if I haven't killed him, i'd hate to leave the DC's home alone (see other thread if confused!!!)

EffiePerine · 28/07/2009 15:10

I have had some reassuring comments that I look thinner, but the scales tell me I'm some way off! Am having little success at cutting out the treats but I do a fair amount of walking (3 - 5 miles most days) which does help. Size wise I have no clue, size 14s are a bit loose but 12s too tight. Sigh.

Actually converting kg to lb I am only about 1/2 stone over my pr-pg weight so where has all this flab around my waist come from? . I suspect shifting it will mean serious effort...
