bran · 15/02/2005 18:22

Well done Flossam, you're doing really well.

I'll be 38 on the 27th MG. DH and I were just discussing what I wanted as a pressie last night, I'm not really that bothered so long as I get the chocolate cake. We were also discussing the (ahem) evening activities (the birthday girl/boy gets to choose), I'm so fixated on chocolate cake at the moment that I'm currently planning to involve the cake in that too.

WideWebWitch · 15/02/2005 19:35

Hello, can I join you lot please? I was on the Not the Cod Fatfighters thread but they were all skinny birds with a coupla pounds to lose so I am defecting if that's OK. I don't want to give my weight but I am finding it motivating to post what I eat every day, is that OK? I am here for the long term, sadly But, not so sadly, I've lost 1stone 4lbs since Jan 5th I'm doing no booze, 1,500 cals/day and as much exercise as I can stand and it seems to be working. I am eating carbs, not that many but mainly eating lots of fruit/veg/fish/white meat and no dairy.

Welcome www. That's an amazing loss so far, well done, that's much faster than me, I'm only losing a stone every couple of months. Do you have much more to loose?

WideWebWitch · 15/02/2005 21:40

Thanks all! Today

1 piece toast, olive spread, marmite
pack sesame snaps
100g smoked salmon
half an avocado
small bunch of grapes
picked at (prob ate half a piece) of dd's lunch toast with butter, eek, must NOT eat children's leftovers
3 black jack sweets, oops too
5 fishfingers
loads of peas
100 cal dairy free chocolate
So I'm probably JUST under 1,500 but no exercise today so that's not good. Thanks for listening!

champs · 15/02/2005 22:51

welcome WWW!! well done on loss!! thats fantastic. are you sticking to a 1500 cal daily then? are you doing any of the diets or just your own?

ROFL!!! Bran you make me laff!! dont see why not, then you can have your cake and eat it... now why does that sound so rude!!

glitterfairy · 16/02/2005 20:06

Hi guys I am back in the world of diets and gym again and have been every day so far this week. I started another thread and am being weighed once a week so will let oyu all know how I am doing.

Champs how are you?? Bran how are you doing?

champs · 16/02/2005 21:37

hi glitter!! glad you're ok, was wondering about you. dieting wasn't the same without you and your whips!!

WideWebWitch · 17/02/2005 06:40

Morning all! Yesterday:

1 piece toast, olive spread, marmite
1 pack sesame snaps (165 cal)
1 pack soya bites (113 cal)
50g smoked salmon
half an avocado
2 apples
handful grapes
1 piece toast, olive spread, marmite
2 raw carrots
broccoli
mushrooms cooked in water
rare roast beef, french mustard
100 cal dairy free chocolate
and a bit of walking. I'm not going to weigh myself for another week because of my transgressions last week, I don't want to be disappointed but not a bad day and no booze for the 4th day running (well, since 5th Jan but have had 2 nights where I drank). Thanks for listening!

FineFigureFio · 17/02/2005 07:58

nice to see you on here ww me and Flossam defected to here too as we were getting a little paranoid You have done great so far!

bran would you please stop all this talk of chocolate cake

Thank for the advice on breakfast, unluckily this morning I have had a granary roll, 3 turkey rashers, poached egg, mushrooms and a bit of ketchup......a tad excessive at 5 points but I am starved and dh was working away and i start to eat again, well thats my excuse and Im sticking to it

will be salad for lunch, lol

you know the yog mixed in with the mayo, does it not make it taste sour? and what type of yog do you use

and these sesame snaps, how calorific are they, cals per bar and sat fat content? i keep fancying them every time i walk past the health shop!

champs · 17/02/2005 16:48

hi www, sounds like you are doing well!!
fff--- no excuse needed you haven't gone over your points do just enjoy. How was the salad

bran · 17/02/2005 17:17

A big breakfast is good Fio, you can have a low point dinner instead (lots of veg).

For the tuna mix I use a good low-fat bio natural yogurt. I find the bio ones don't taste as sour, and just that little bit of mayonnaise (not low-fat mayonnaise which has no taste at all) gives a reasonably strong mayonnaise taste to the whole thing.

WWW do you work out the calories for everthing you eat, or do you log on to a website or something that works it out for you?

I had my weigh-in last night and stayed the same, which isn't the end of the world, I'll probably have a bigger loss next week. I think that next week I'll start properly exercising again as my is much, much better, that ought to speed up the loss a bit, and I could really use the bonus points.

WideWebWitch · 17/02/2005 19:06

Fio, sesame snaps are 165 cals for a pack of 3 and 50% sugar, which isn't good, but the fat is good fat because it's from sesame seeds. They also contain calcium (I'm not eating dairy) and satisfy my craving for something sweet so I reckon they're good. Bran, I mostly work it out roughly, I've got the Slimmer mag Greatest guide to calories which contains the calorie value of everything. I mostly don't worry too much about how much fruit and veg I eat, I'm just watching the meat/fish/bread/other stuff. And I'm not drinking booze at all and trying to exercise quite a bit. Today

1 piece toast, olive spread, marmite
1 pack sesame snaps
1 apple
2 small wholemeal rolls with ham, mustard and lettuce
Resisted chocolate biscuits at my mums
Picked at loads of left over rare roast beef when I got home, oops
5 fishfingers
loads of peas
And will have 100cal dairy free chocolate tonight while watching Life Begins taped from last night. Bran, I stayed the same a couple of weeks and it was disheartening but I lost the following week so all right.

I want to lose weight because I haven't been my ideal weight since I got pregnant with ds, 7 years ago. I was 8 stone 12 . Today

1 piece toast, olive spread, marmite
2 apples
1 pear
2 dried apricots
small box raisins
roast beef sandwich (120g beef) with french mustard, a scrape of olive spread
soya bites (113 cals)
small bunch grapes
100g prawns
loads of potato wedges roasted in oil, dipped in bbq sauce
100 cal dairy free chocolate
and I walked at least 2 miles. Probably ate a bit over 1500 but will be better tomorrow.

champs · 18/02/2005 23:41
