Don't force it down if you don't want it!

Or save some for later, for a mid-afternoon/early evening snack?

VaginaShmergina · 26/06/2008 13:20

Coz I cant have anything other than fruit for my snacks.

Spoke to the Coach this morning as I was concerned I would not be taking on board enough fat as my breakfast only has a couple of g's and I asked if I could carry them over to another meal. She said yes,
as long as I dont exceed 30g on a daily basis and fruit only inbetween meals.

Am very full now but I'm sure after my trip to the gym I will be ready for more food !

Fanella · 26/06/2008 17:47

Ok, just want to get this down to see if I've over done it a bit today:

Breakfast - 1 slice of toast with marmite and handful of raisins.

Lunch - chicken soup and three crackerbread, soya yoghurt and packet of skips (I know, but they don't have many cals..... )

snack - cranberry and raspberry muesli bar thingy.

2 cups of tea.

I'll have a small portion of either pesto pasta or curry for tea (depends what's on the table when I get home from work..)

I don't think that's too bad is it?

I won't be going far with the dogwalking tonight though - bloody weather

BecauseImWorthIt · 26/06/2008 17:49

Fanella - where is your fresh stuff? Or your veg?

BecauseImWorthIt · 26/06/2008 17:51

So far today I have had:

breakfast - scrambled eggs and bacon
lunch - salad - iceberg lettuce, small amount of finely diced onion, roasted red pepper and cheese
snack - large handful of nuts

Not sure about diinner as there's not much in the house. Might be something like tuna and salad.

Struggling (again!) with the desire to also add a glass of wine ...

solo · 26/06/2008 17:55

Try the fat flush diet. I lost a stone two weeks ago, no problem, but you have to be focused and disciplined.

Fanella · 26/06/2008 18:01

there will be veg in the pasta or curry. I will have some cherry tomatoes on the side and will make myself a fruit salad for dessert. And I will be really good tomorrow I promise.

I always find it a bit more difficult to organise stuff properly when I'm working weird hours - 1 'til 6.30 today so I have to have lunch early, then it seems an age before dinner time. Or is that just because I'm soooo hungry?

ooopsyoopsydaisy · 26/06/2008 21:11

guys, please don't say my t'other name but have just fecking found out am pg!!!

VictorianSqualor · 26/06/2008 21:22

OOD are you the op?

I weighed myself today, finally, and I'm annoyed.Baby is ten weeks old and I've only lost 2 stone of baby weight. He weighed ten pound of that!

Anyway I'm 13stone 12lb.
I want to be about 10stone 12lb.

Today I've eaten my breakfast, two chicken salad wraps and then some quavers as a snack. For dinner a small portion of spaghetti bolognese.

ooopsyoopsydaisy · 26/06/2008 21:35

VS - yeeeeeees, dear flippin Gawd!

ooopsyoopsydaisy · 26/06/2008 21:36

btw, that's really good weight loss! don't be too hard on yourself.

Fanella · 27/06/2008 08:41

OOD - You have my permission to eat anything and everything (for a while)

Plus VS - 2 stone in ten weeks? That's chuffing brilliant. It's taken me six months to lose the same amount.

Today is my official weigh day and I weighed in this morning at 12st 13.

It's the first time in 10 years I've weighed 12 stone something.

VictorianSqualor · 27/06/2008 08:50

Well, Congrats!(I think!) How do you feel about it??
Well Done Fanella.

toadette · 27/06/2008 09:02

Hi everyone
Congrats, ood!

Solo, what's the fat flush diet? Tell us more...

I've had a really lousy day or two. I got bitten by an insect while I was out running about a week or so ago. I have not only had an allergic reaction to it where my ankle swelled up at the time but now also have a secondary infection (possibly impetigo). I feel wretched and can't sleep because of the itching. Diet has gone to pot and I had three glasses of wine last night, sorry. I'll get straight back onto it once I feel better, too run down at the moment.

You all sound like you're doing great, keep up the hard work x

BecauseImWorthIt · 27/06/2008 09:05

Congratulations! Puts a different slant on the whole dieting thing, though!

VS - But even if you take the baby's 10lbs off that, you've still lost 18lbs, which is 3lbs per week - which is great going!

Fanella - that's fantastic as well. It's always great to have the scales start with a lower number, and what an achievement to know that you're the lightest you've been in 10 years.

Bad news for me though - I gave in and had some wine last night which I really regret now. It's that 6.30pm siren call that I find so hard to resist!

Oh well, have picked myself up and back on the wagon again.

BecauseImWorthIt · 27/06/2008 09:06

toadette - sorry to hear about your bite, sounds really horrible. Not surprised you can't focus on the diet.

Fanella · 27/06/2008 10:31

Toadette - sorry you feel so horrid, take care of yourself. If that means having a break from the diet then so be it - it's not going to kill you and if you feel shite then why not help yourself feel better? Nowt wrong with that. Have some chocolate too. Not an expert on these things but have you got something for the itching? Piriton or something?

BWIW - thanks for congrats. Can't believe how good I feel at the moment. Get your bum on here at half six tonight and we'll keep you off the wine somehow...

BecauseImWorthIt · 27/06/2008 10:49

Think I'll probably in Sainsbury's then which will stop it! (Don't usually drink whilst shopping)

toadette · 27/06/2008 11:08

Thanks BIWI and fanella

Wine's a nightmare isn't it, BIWI. We're on holiday next week so it's unlikely I'll be able to stay off it much as my willpower will dissolve. Will catch up with the thread when I come back though and join the weekday abstainers.

Fanella, a massive well done on the weight loss. It's such a psychological boost to get down to another stone bracket, keep it going!

VictorianSqualor · 27/06/2008 11:14

If any of you are home, and have sky sports.
OMG
go to sky sports three and do the aerobics work out.
I've just done the first half and it is working my legs!

VictorianSqualor · 27/06/2008 17:51

Good evening ladies.
Well, I've done really well today.
An aerobic workout, a walk, eaten only a smoothie for breakfast, two of my chicken wraps for lunch and am having chicken and rice for dinner. I shall have a couple of drinks tonight, but I'm not having wine, I am having gin, with diet lemonade and a slice of lime, it is friday night after all

I have joined this site on a five day free trial and added everything I've eaten. apparently even adding half a litre of gin (which I won't drink all of!!!) I still have 60 calories left today. Plus I've done double the exercise I have to do each day.

It's sensible as well, will only let you put in a target of up to 20% of your body weight, and won't let you lose more than a couple of pounds a week, so it's maintainable (and they keep you there longer)

Anyway, I'm going to do the food it recommends, but double the exercise. Every day.

Fanella · 27/06/2008 19:35

ooo VS, I like that site. I've signed up too.

VictorianSqualor · 27/06/2008 19:37

Looks good doesn't it.
I was just saying to DP, you can eat anything you want with that site, drink alcohol, etc, which means it changes your lifestyle eating habits rather than a faddy food diet.

Fanella · 27/06/2008 19:57

Yep, agree - and it makes you think about portion sizes etc. Are you weighing stuff or just having a good guess?

I like the five a day counter and the pedometer step thingy too, very helpful.

Putting my food in for today I've just realised that I've had absolutely no water.

VictorianSqualor · 27/06/2008 21:01

Well, I haven't weighed anything, But I've checked the packet size and seen how much, the only thing I've had that wasn't in calories/protein etc on the back of the packet was rice, which I had half of so not too hard to work out.
If I was eating something I wasn't sure of I'd weigh though.
Water is my one saving grace I think, I've had nothing to drink bar water for the last three days(Except the gin I'm drinking now, though I'll match it for water before I go to bed)
