What size do I look?

I’ve recently (finally) lost 4 stone after having a baby 18 months ago. I’m 5ft 7. What size do I look and any ideas for flattering outfits? I still have a really large chest and bigger thighs so help would be appreciated as I’m really struggling with what to wear.

Where do you get them from? I’m in the North West and can’t find any stockists I could go to in-person for a fitting x

I was fitted online by Bella Rosa, she will send bras to try as well. I was wearing a size I knew was too small in the cup but fine in the back, and she’s a magician at knowing what size comes up big/small etc
this is the lift wearing one she fitted me into

Perhaps Bella will travel from Kent and assist big breasted Northeners?

I hate my figure.

I would have thought embracing your lovely boobs is the answer? Definitely low neck rather than higher is flattering to a larger chest.

I would think that a more fitted top was better than one that would hang off your boobs?

16? You look great

Needing a 16-18 top shouldn't be heartbreaking - you've just got big boobs, that all! You look great.

This !

18-20 on top 14-16 below.

12 bottom, 16 top? You have a perfect figure 😍

Look on Vinted for Pepperberry clothes. Sadly, they are no longer in business, but their clothes are sized curvy to super curvy, depending on your bust size and they don't stretch or pull across the top. May not be super fashionable, but they do fit correctly.

I don't agree with this btw op.

You look as though you may size up on the top purely due to bust size, not shoulders, arms, tummy, and you look nothing whatsoever like an 18 on the bottom.

Like I said I’m going by the fact she looks the same size as me and that’s what I am!

yep, shorter than you at 4ft 11inches. Chest is 26E if I get measured but the bra I like doesn’t come in that size so I wear a 28E or F (boobs go up and down a cup size weekly due to stupid peri)

Yes, that last stone was what did for my boobs, before they clung on so I looked like Barbara Windsor for ages (skinny legs/comedy boobs)

This is a wise post in lots of ways op, and I agree that if you carry weight anywhere, the bust is the most flattering.

It tends to carry better than tummy or hips or bum or thighs ...

I never found that to be the case. I remember once being in the pub when I was in my 20s with friends of friends including a woman who was really small and neat on top but had very large hips and bum - so large that they were disproportionate to the rest of her. I was the other way round - small hips and bum but massive matronly boobs - and I remember feeling sick with envy when we were sitting round the table - we were probably both the same weight but carrying it differently - and she looked lovely sitting at the table, and generally viewed from the front, and I just looked big unless viewed from behind, which was a fat lot of use as far as I was concerned.

This has had me really giggling!

I do know exactly what you mean!

But then again having to live your life sitting at a table or standing behind something waist height to hide your lower half in order to look "lovely" might become restrictive! Would certainly lead to some creative dates.

I am sure you looked lovely too - and she was no doubt envying your voluptuous bust and wondering how you achieved it without your bottom ballooning!

The bottom line (ha!) is that we all just need to recognise different shapes can be lovely and make us individuals. The older I get, the more I truly believe that.

ETA I've been on the flat-chested side of things so my perspective is different from yours!
