2026 the final push! Anyone at the tail end of their weight loss journey and want to lose that last stone (and a bit) with me starting in January?

Setting this thread up now in preparation for the New Year.

Over the last couple of years I have managed to lose 4.5 stone going from 15st 9 to 11 stone 2. My final goal is 10 stone.

I am 5"3 and I am 41. Weight loss has definitely slowed down, but I am determined to keep going and hope that 2026 will be the year I finally reach my target!

I losely follow intermittent fasting and am going to try and be more consistent with my exercise next year.

Anyone is welcome to join me 😊

Hi thanks

Well I did a target which I reached then reset my target after a few weeks still losing as lost a further 5 and half pounds
I reset then reached it last Saturday
Took 14 weeks to get to 1st target and a further 7 weeks to get to my revised target
So this is my happy weight and hopefully maintain this now
To stay on target with slimming world I'm.allowed to go 3 pounds over or 3 pounds under
I'm now ( well i was half a pound under Saturday 20 /12 )
See what this Saturday brings

😁
Slimming world as been fantastic for me though I know it's not for everyone
The support and tips invaluable in my case.
Good luck everyone which ever route you choose xx

Wow that's great. Well done. You must be feeling great.

Some of my family do slimming world and have done really well too. I just can't get on with it personally.

Things currently feel very slow, but I'm trying to remember the bigger picture and how far I've come. More than anything I want to make permanent life style changes. Every diet I have ever done has ended in me putting all the weight (and more back on). Therefore trying to focus on being mindful and healthy. Slow and steady but hopefully more manageable long term.

It's always the same for me; I lose About 5kg to mid year, then without noticing it's all back on by December. Think I need to just eat Huel or something!

Emmadaily · 24/12/2025 16:35

@happysnail12 and @ErmThisOne
Great well done and I'm.also the lightest in maybe 8 to 9 years tho only by a few pounds as normally around 9 stone
My weight crept up from towards end of 2023 to 10stone 12 in July 2025
Decided then to try get back to my original weight and now even lighter
I'm quite happy and feel great
I Hope you two do to xx

Yes please 😊 would love to join you all to support each other.
January this year i was 17st 12lbs and now im 11st 12lbs (i'm 5ft 4in). January to September i did use Mounjoro and got down to my lowest at 11st 7lbs. I'm regular gym goer and enjoy running but still got that sweet tooth 😬 but would love to get to 10st 7lbs. Xxx

happysnail12 · 30/12/2025 16:08

Wow @Strikingitlucky that's amazing 👏 you must feel great ☺️

After being pretty good over Christmas, I have gone off the rails! I'm in Birmingham with my family and have had 3 birthday celebrations in 2 days! Yesterday I had 2 lots of birthday cake, a buffet and a Chinese! I've been to a cat cafe today and am having fish and chips tonight!! 🙈 I'm writing this week off and will start again when I a get home on Thursday!!

happysnail12 · 01/01/2026 14:21

Happy New Year everyone 😊

Well after being fairly "good" over Christmas, I have absolutely ruined myself over the past 3 days whilst away at my brother's! 2 x birthday cakes, a chinese takeaway, fish and chips, doughnuts, chocolate, fizzy drinks and endless stodgy carbs! 🙈

However, I'm back home now and back on it. I wasn't at home this morning, so will weigh in tomorrow (face the invetiable gain!) and put a starting weight down for this round of weight loss

Then moving am going back to my weekly Wednesday Weigh in 😊

OP posts:
happysnail12 · 02/01/2026 09:21

Well not as bad as it could have been. I've gained 2lbs over the Christmas period. So...

Starting weight (02/01/26): 11st 3lbs
Goal Weight: 10 stone

At the pace I lose at, it will probably be next December before I reach my goal, but hopefully 2026 will be my year!

Hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and are doing well x

sheilawastak3n · 03/01/2026 18:31

Would anyone like to do a weekly weigh in on here? I feel it would give me accountability! Will weigh myself in the morning and report back

happysnail12 · 03/01/2026 21:00

I weigh in every Wednesday and post. You're welcome to do the same (or chose a day and share your results with us). The accountability and support definitely helps me 😊 x

Strikingitlucky · 03/01/2026 21:45

@happysnail12 glad you had a lovely weekend with your family. You will soon the loose 2lbs. Hope everyone is okay also 😊
I've put on 3lbs 🙈 i weighed myself earlier im 12st 1lbs. I'm trying not to be too hard myself. This week i climbed pen y fan (highest mountain in south wales) and ran my first ever 5k race After doing all that i ate everything in sight 🤣 i just need to have more control. Any tips is much appreciated.
Will weigh again on Wednesday and message to xxx
