2026 the final push! Anyone at the tail end of their weight loss journey and want to lose that last stone (and a bit) with me starting in January?

Setting this thread up now in preparation for the New Year.

Over the last couple of years I have managed to lose 4.5 stone going from 15st 9 to 11 stone 2. My final goal is 10 stone.

I am 5"3 and I am 41. Weight loss has definitely slowed down, but I am determined to keep going and hope that 2026 will be the year I finally reach my target!

I losely follow intermittent fasting and am going to try and be more consistent with my exercise next year.

Anyone is welcome to join me 😊

5st is an amazing loss! What worked best for you to achieve that? I’d love to hit 9st, but right now my target is 10 and half, then 10. Although I need to get out of these dreaded 11s!

@ErmThisOne I am exactly that same as you! I’ve been trying to get out the 11s since September, lost half a stone since then and am desperately hoping to see the 10s by February.
I’ve thrown in 14 hours of fasting every day alongside calorie counting to try and break it. I’ve lost three stone why is this bit so hard!!
my goal is also 10.6 stone then I’ll think about whether to stop or carry on

Yes I think I hit 11s around a similar time. Im still 2lb up on my pre Christmas weight but it’s not moving! I have been full of a cold this week and using that as an excuse to stuff the hole my face and next week will be Aunt Flo’s fault, but by next pay day I want to be seeing 10s. Payday is the 15th, and unless I remove a limb or vital organ, it won’t be happening today 😂.

I may look at fasting, I rarely have breakfast, usually a snack at break time if I don’t, lunch has been must successful when it’s been a cup of soup, babybel, fruit and a pack of Aldi snack crisps. Even meals are getting later again so I need to tighten that up too!

Welcome @Silverblue1985 and well gone on your amazing loss. I can really relate to the yo-yoing up and down.

keep going @socks1107 and @ErmThisOne. I was stuck in the 11s for what felt like an eternity! (and could easily see them again, as I am only just under!). But glad I didn't give up. You will get there and are both doing so well 😊

I went to a body conditioning class with my friend last night. Actually really enjoyed it. Just hope I can keep motivated with the exercise, as I definitely feel better for it.

I Iost 5 stone last year and Im really struggling with the last half stone. I need all the help I can get!!! I did lose 2 pounds over christmas which was good.

@ErmThisOne @socks1107 I also found it so slow going last year to get out through the 70s, so probably equivalent to where you are in the 11sts.I think a mixture of needing fewer calories to lose weight and the novelty of weight loss wearing off! Well done for preserving, it can be frustrating.

@Gettingbysomehow Congrats on the 5st! The last few kg are always the most difficult!

@ErmThisOne I calorie counted - not religiously, but with a good enough idea. Tracked using the loseIt app. I also had very active weekends, hiking (though living in a coastal area) with holidays in the Lakes. I can’t do without snacks or treats so factor these in and make sure I have “better” alternatives at home. (Like small pots of aero mousse at 90kcal instead of massive pots). If I want chocolate I want chocolate and not figs or the likes (I’d just have all the alternatives and still want chocolate lol) so I factor it in and have a small bit, as it’s unrealistic for me to never have it again anyway.

goal 10 stone

hoped for a bit more but glad it’s the right direction. Feel like I’m in a better routine now and no more socialising this month to tempt me to stray.

I have a stone to lose and 16 weeks until I go on holiday.
Seems very do able except have been trying to lose this last stone for about a year. I just need to really focus and keep motivation high! So I am hoping an accountability thread will really help 👏🏻

I have weighed in and -1kg, but I suspect some of this was water gain and loss. 65.8kg now.

Away now until next Sunday so will need to try and contain calorie intake eating in the hotel, which is neigh on impossible looking at the menu (traditional food). Not many other options around, as out of town. I’ll also be away a fair bit until at least Easter so it won’t be easy.

I’m doing well so far with this! I’ve lost 3lb a now have 10lbs to go. Really on this last bit and finale push, have cut out upfs where I can and added some fasting into my calorie counting to keep it moving to goal!

Wednesday weigh in - 1lb down this week - 10st 11.75lbs 😊

My step streak (20 days now) is still going and I'm getting to the gym a bit more. I definitely think it's given me a bit of a boost alongside continuing to eat mindfully.

Goal Weight: 10 stone

07/01/26: 11st 1.5lbs

I hope I’m not too late to join you; after losing 3.5 stones I hit a plateau for December and have only just started to lose again.
With a BMI of 26, and just over 12 stones, losing that last stone means a lot to me. I’ve read about natural limitation weight loss - I’ve lost 22.5% - I’d like to think another 5% is possible without increasing my MJ.

11.7!! it’s going up not down. I am due on tomorrow though. It hasn’t been moving down at all.
