Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! Optimistic October & 12 Week Countdown to Christmas⭐️

⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Clocks have now gone back and the nights are drawing in, Halloween is done and dusted and Bonfire Night is in a few days 😮. Meaning one thing! Christmas and all its festivities are arriving next month 😮🎄🥳

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs.

I’m mainly maintaining but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞(I briefly dipped into the 8’s last month but the scale showed 9st 4lb yesterday)

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! You'll be pleased you did 😊

PS - This thread will take us up to the New Year 2026 & the thread will be January 2026🥳

Just went for a run, I got the motivation from seeing photos of how my face looks when I weigh more than I should. What a shock, I didn’t realise what I looked like.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 27/11/2025 06:24

Just woke up and weighed. New low! I don’t think I’ll get to goal before Jan - we have a lot of celebrations between now and then and weight will creep up - but I’m happy things are heading in the right direction.

Last few days:

73.2 - 19 November
72.9 - 20 November
72.9 - 21 November
72.3 - 22 November
72.5 - 23 November
72.8 - 24 November
72.0 - 25 November
71.8 - 26 November
71.3 - 27 November

I think I’ll have a big breakfast today and then soup for lunch, skipping dinner. Or soup for both if it’s dinner with the kids.

FridayNighFeeling · 27/11/2025 13:53

Just checking in with you all.

My face doesn't look great either (nor does the body Grin) @Fellsbells

Up 1/2 lb from the start of the week. Headache & sore throat = comfort eating Sad

socks1107 · 27/11/2025 14:03

I’m having a fairly decent run atm. After ten weeks of nothing it’s dropping nicely and I’m well
on target for my Xmas goal.
i wore size 12 trousers to work yesterday and it felt so nice. Haven’t done that in maybe 13 years!

biscuitcat · 27/11/2025 14:21

Congratulations @socks1107 - scale and non scale wins! What a relief that must be after your long plateau.

I also seem to be dropping weight quite consistently at the moment which is lovely, I hope that continues! I’m currently 5lbs away from my ambitious Christmas goal of 3st off in total (which I was absolutely convinced I’d not make) and that would be a great little Christmas pressie to myself.

Today’s menu:

B - Greek yoghurt with apples and cinnamon
L - goats cheese omelette with hash browns
D - chicken and salad tacos

Marshmellowbunny · 27/11/2025 16:15

@Fellsbells I saw your post and managed to drag myself out for a run! So thank you 🥰 well done on getting out!

Well done @TheWayTheLightFalls @socks1107 and @biscuitcat
I'm a little bit jealous.
I'm with @FridayNighFeelingand I'm going up 🤣🙈 23 days to goal weight is slipping out of reach!
At least @FridayNighFeeling knows why! Haha 😢

Fellsbells · 27/11/2025 16:18

@Marshmellowbunny yes!! Well done you.

Fellsbells · 27/11/2025 16:20

Good day (so far!) got to get through the evening munchies yet.

weight was down this morning, and more importantly body fat % is second ever lowest it’s been. I’m envisioning looking like a yoga instructor by January (maybe 😂)

FridayNighFeeling · 27/11/2025 19:18

Having totalled it up on MFP I'm at maintenance so not the end of the world.

I seem to have eaten all the evening snacks for you, thank me later Grin

Whoops. New day tomorrow.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 27/11/2025 19:31

Kitchen now closed!

LemonDrizzle23 · 27/11/2025 21:59

@TheWayTheLightFalls apparently I helped you with those evening snacks 👀

Have been feeling rough since Sunday, but hoping to get out for a walk tomorrow. Have been eating like crap as well. Maybe I’ll call this a reset week!

Marshmellowbunny · 28/11/2025 08:00

Idk whether it was the run that did it or something else, but at my lowest today! 🥳

9.7 exactly
2 lbs to go and 19 days!! I will be so happy if I make it!! 🤞🏻

Have a good day, all! 🥰

Alwayslearning25 · 28/11/2025 08:27

Last night I had a late shift, got home, everyone was in bed and I grazed the kitchen... Wednesday morning I was exactly 75kg after eating unhealthy and too much on Tuesday. 75 is my heaviest and a bar I don't want to go over. I'm due on next week so I'm going to not weight myself until my period has finished. But will work on no s diet.

Alwayslearning25 · 28/11/2025 08:28

Today I may take all my measurements as a high bar to compare to next year. I kind of want to wait until the new year to really focus on weight loss.

TealSloth · 28/11/2025 10:32

Hello ladies hope you all are well. Ive done absolutely crap this month hardly loss anything. Hoping December i loose something. Before entering 2026 i need to loose the access pounds good luck everyone.

Fellsbells · 28/11/2025 13:16

Well done everyone.

My average is 1lb less than last week’s, very happy about that. Especially as my period has started.

today
B- gut shot
L- salmon, rice and green beans. Some dark chocolate.
D- chicken of some description.

Ran 6km this morning which should cancel out the accidental double dinner from last night.

LemonDrizzle23 · 28/11/2025 14:00

Well I am still on the couch, being grouchy about my cold, the amount of crap I've eaten this week, and how my weight has bounced up.

I’m hoping that by Sunday I will be feeling better. It looks like it’s going to be sunny, and the food shop is coming. I’ve made a healthy meal plan for next week and will try and get out on my walk. Fresh start on Sunday 🤞

PersistentRain · 28/11/2025 14:04

My weight has been slightly up. Sickness and biscuits to blame.
Went back to my exercise class today and I am shattered after the break from it. Glad to be back. Need to start controlling my food more though.

Ionacat · 28/11/2025 17:35

Just catching up. I’m now back in my smaller size 14 jeans and size 12 skirts. My size 12 jeans do up, but not wearable out yet.

It is so hard to keep going, the dark evenings and all the Christmassy treats keep calling! I’ve rewarded myself with some nice bath stuff instead.

Emmadaily · 29/11/2025 14:42

Afternoon everyone
I hope everyone is well and those who are poorly I hope you get better soon x
I went to my Slimming world class this morning and all was good ☺
I maintained this week so was definitely ok with that.
Still 4 pounds under target so had to pay but I'm ok with that to as least not over target
Called a local Christmas Market and though didn't buy much it certainly was lovely and quite a few people there so atmosphere was very nice.
Out tomorrow visiting friends and having a Sunday dinner to .
Out Monday for 1st Christmas meal out 2 courses I have ordered then Tuesday out with a friend for coffee which may involve a bit of treat to
Will be good from there in and see what next Saturday brings .
Not so worried now got a bit of a buffer.
Have a lovely weekend and week everyone xx

GallstoneGertieInTheGarden · 29/11/2025 20:36

Hello. I remember being here months ago and making some progress. I hit a tough patch at home and fell off the wagon with a resounding splat. It’s time for me to climb back on, two stone heavier.

I’ve been an emotional overeater as far back as I can remember, with no willpower or sense of moderation. There’s clutter everywhere - in the house, the garden, in my head and my body.

My initial goal is to lose one pound a week. Might even manage half a stone by the New Year.

Alwayslearning25 · 30/11/2025 06:31

Ok, just did my measurements write them in a notebook. I'm not sharing then but I did calculate my waist to hips ratio at .87. It's supposed to be under 85 and a better indicator of risk of diabeties than BMI. In the past, when I wasn't as big and in the ideal BMI category, but had no bum, it was up to 90. Maybe I should take some photos to look back on.. End of January I will measure again, may chose one to measure weakly. Maybe arm because it was the easiest? What do others do it they take their measurements for progress checking?

FridayNighFeeling · 30/11/2025 12:55

Well hello and checking in for the end of November. Feeling reflective... wanted to lose about 20kg in total eek and I have now got halfway, so that's sensible over 6m. Having decided to tread water around the 20lb loss mark, I'm at 23 3/4lbs off this morning, so very pleased with that and hoping it means that I will hopefully emerge into spring feeling more like myself.

Well done @Emmadaily do you just follow the plan or do you keep an eye on calories too? I did it many moons ago, but the thought of free pasta etc probably wasn't the best for me Grin

I took my waist measurement only at the start and that does vary anyway as I bloat a lot... so not very helpful @Alwayslearning25

It's so tricky when you have a bad relationship with food and or your own body @GallstoneGertieInTheGardenone of the reasons I do IF is because otherwise I'd snack another 500 calories every night.

socks1107 · 30/11/2025 12:59

@Alwayslearning25 I do my measurements. I’ve lost 106cm across my whole body as of last month, will measure again probably next week. I find it really motivating to see the figures coming down
