Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT! Optimistic October & 12 Week Countdown to Christmas⭐️

⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Clocks have now gone back and the nights are drawing in, Halloween is done and dusted and Bonfire Night is in a few days 😮. Meaning one thing! Christmas and all its festivities are arriving next month 😮🎄🥳

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs.

I’m mainly maintaining but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞(I briefly dipped into the 8’s last month but the scale showed 9st 4lb yesterday)

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! You'll be pleased you did 😊

PS - This thread will take us up to the New Year 2026 & the thread will be January 2026🥳

That's brilliant ginger! Wow!

All ok here. Weight was down this morning after OMAD. Ate a breakfast omelette and then a large early lunch, and again closing the kitchen now.

biscuitcat · 25/11/2025 12:04

That’s astonishing @Gingercar! You must feel like a new woman.

I’m plodding steadily on here, weight seems to be going in the right direction.

Today’s menu:

B - cappuccino
L - jacket potato with cheese and beans
D - potato and paneer bites with rice and curry sauce

Marshmellowbunny · 25/11/2025 12:16

Well done @Gingercar
A good reminder not to just focus on the number on the scales. I'm off to find the measuring tape 🥰

socks1107 · 25/11/2025 13:09

@Gingercar that’s incredible! Huge well done

Gingercar · 25/11/2025 13:13

Thank you. I’ve still got a good way to go, but it’s a good dent. Interestingly the scales haven’t moved a lot this month (perhaps 4-5lbs) but the measurements have changed quite a bit. So it’s really worth noting them along the way.

FridayNighFeeling · 25/11/2025 13:35

That's amazing @Gingercar

Take care everyone and good luck for WOW tomorrow, I will probably just go with Monday's weight, but may sneak a peak.

LemonDrizzle23 · 25/11/2025 14:37

That’s fabulous to read @Gingercar! I never took measurements at the beginning and sort of wish I had now. You’ve inspired me to go and take a few measurements!

PersistentRain · 25/11/2025 14:50

@Gingercari should have done this, I have shrunk more than is reflected on the scales. It’s brave to measure yourself when you don’t feel good about your body.
Thought today was Wednesday so hopefully some way back down to my lower weight.

Fellsbells · 25/11/2025 19:02

This week is flying by, forgot it was wow tomorrow. I’m over my calories today and haven’t been for a run.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 26/11/2025 04:34

WoW today is 71.8kg - so I’m back down to my lowest weight after two weeks’ yoyoing. However I can’t sleep and am now up for the day, gah!

Good luck wowers!

LegoTherapy · 26/11/2025 06:54

Morning all. New low of 54.1kg this morning. Still 8st 7lb but at the bottom end of it. I’m quite happy with this weight really.
Hope you all get good results today.

LemonDrizzle23 · 26/11/2025 07:16

Last WOW of November - can’t believe it! Good luck everyone.

After a loss every week in November, it’s a stay the same for me this week. Ive been ill and not moving much for over half the week, so not really surprised I suppose. Total of 3.5lbs off this month. If I can do the same again between now and Christmas that would be fab!

I also recommend measuring yourselves, I do this monthly and over the year have lost 106cm across my whole body. It’s given me a bit of catching up in my brain to do with my new body by when I see it written I am a bit shocked.
have a happy Wednesday hope everyone has losses and remember if you don’t it’s just one number on one day

Midnightstar76 · 26/11/2025 08:08

Same as last week but I most certainly am in full on peri. Small goals though have definitely increased my steps

Midnightstar76 · 26/11/2025 08:11

No not same as last week have lost! Just checked my last post see told ya I’m in peri my brain does not compute lol down a couple of pounds 11 stone 9 pounds

CinnamonSweet73 · 26/11/2025 08:13

Morning WOWers and well done all, no matter what the scales says!

78.7, down a tiny bit from 79kg last week, hoped for a bit more but I'll take it!

Good idea on the measuring @socks1107 I should do that. In my gym they recommend taking pictures as well to track changes. It's good to have other methods besides the scales as it can fluctuate so much.

Have a great day everyone!

CatPawprints · 26/11/2025 08:36

SW: 10st13
CW: 10st8

No change this week for me. But 5lbs off over the course of the month is still a win that I'll take.

So glad for this thread. Just reading everyone's updates gives me motivation to keep on trying.

Marshmellowbunny · 26/11/2025 08:40

Morning All,
There seems to be a lot of losses this week! Well done even if it's just a check in 👏🏻

I'm back down to my lowest again so I think last week was TOM 👍🏻🤞🏻

2.4LBS to go and 24 days to do it! Wish me luck 🤞🏻 I do have a couple of Xmas meals booked so we will just see what happens. Bonus, I managed 3 days in a row without crying. Woo.

Good luck and well done to everyone else checking in today!

biscuitcat · 26/11/2025 09:12

Morning all! Great job checking in and keeping accountable 💜 so glad to hear your mood is lifted at the moment @Marshmellowbunny

I’m 2lbs down this week - my deficit is set for 1lb a week and I eat pretty well all of my calories so I wonder whether breastfeeding burns more calories than are already accounted for in my allowance!

SW - 15st10.5
CW - 13st2.5

Today’s menu is:

B - Greek yoghurt with plums
L - tbc but maybe a pepper and goats cheese salad
D - beef bourguignon

Cheesewhatcheese · 26/11/2025 12:30

Thanks @Gingercar and @socks1107 - measuring is a great idea, going to start that now. Well done to all the losses! My WoW is
SW 73
CW 70.5
GW 67

Down 1 kg since last week, so I'm pleased with that. Sticking with the 5:2 and have started HIIT on the exercise bike at the gym, so on track to be under 70 kg by Christmas, which is my interim goal. Thanks for all the support - this is the first time I've ever done any kind of weight loss group, and it's really helping!

LegoTherapy · 26/11/2025 13:46

Make that 53.9kg!!
