April, nice and easy 4 pounds.

Anyone fancy joining us for a goal to loose 4lb in April?
A few of us have found that no matter what the end goal is that breaking this down into smaller 4lb monthly chunks is much more manageable (and less scary).

We all had different ways to reach our goal and different end goals.

Anyone interested in focusing on 4 lbs?

Thanks @Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth .
The month of March was great for me - a loss of 6lb. However, Mother's Day/ weekend not so much !
I'm back on track now.
13st 6 and aiming to be 13st 2 by the end of this month.

ThisUniqueDreamer · 01/04/2025 00:58

My starting weight was just over 12 stone in mid January.

I've consistently lost around 4lbs a month since then and I am now 11st 5lbs.

Hoping to be 11stone or so by end of April so I can go into the 10 stone bracket by May.

Goal weight is low 10 stones.

Satonatrain · 01/04/2025 01:02

Can I join? I’ve put on about a stone since this time last year and would like to shift it.

Im not 100% sure of my current weight but I shall weigh myself in the morning.

Indierocknroller · 01/04/2025 07:43

I'll join please. I started part way through last month at 12st 7 and am currently 12st 4lbs. Would love to break into the 11s by the end of April.

I have a trip away over the Easter weekend so this may help me stay somewhat on track 🍫🍸🙈

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 01/04/2025 07:48

@ThisUniqueDreamer thats amazing! Any tips?

@Indierocknroller and @Satonatrain we can do this!

I started March at 130lbs, went to 124lbs yesterday but starting today at 125lbs.

I’m a daily weigher as I like to see trends. My happy weight is 119lbs (very short!).

None of them good tips i'm afraid. The hard way. Drop my calorie and taken it down to about 1200 calories or less. It's been very hard. However, I do feel so much better with clothes, fitting better and not feeling so bloated.

I've also noticed that it can take a day of eating normally, such as having a decent breakfast or a meal out or something like that. If you're calorie and take is consistently low for the rest of the week, you can stand a cheat day.

Perzival · 01/04/2025 07:54

I'll join! I'm losing around 2/3lb's a month at the moment and trying to get that up a little. I want to lose about 2 to 2 1/2 stone from now but it's just not shifting quickly. This may help.

@ThisUniqueDreamer that's fab. How have you managed that please?Just looking for ideas.

Perzival · 01/04/2025 07:55

Sorry, just seen the last post.

ThisUniqueDreamer · 01/04/2025 08:26

Also exercise a couple of times a week. Strength training, bike classes. I also walk everywhere.

Satonatrain · 01/04/2025 10:09

Morning,

I weighed myself and as expected I have put on a stone! Well 1st 4.

current weight - 10st 13.8lbs
goal weigh - 9st 10lbs

(I’m also pretty short waves to @Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth, at 5ft 3).

Im planning on walking into town and back today as I have an appointment and maybe going for a swim this evening if I can get a new swimming costume while I’m in town. Also need to go food shopping today so I’ll do my best to resist temptation in the supermarket.

Good luck everyone!

Honon · 01/04/2025 10:35

I'd like to join please! I've had a low level crap start to April with an ear bashing from my manager about not very much, so I don't feel like weighing myself but it'll be about 12.5st. I'm short too so long term I need to get under 10st but I'd be happy with 4lb to start.

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 01/04/2025 20:52

@Honon sorry that you have had a crap day. Did it get any better?

OP posts:
Satonatrain · 01/04/2025 23:13

Evening all,

Sorry you had a rubbish morning @Honon Hopefully it didn’t impact you for the entire day.

I think today has been a good day for me, though I didn’t manage to go for a swim. However I did manage to walk 7km today (3.5k each way to an appointment) and then decided to go for a 5km bike ride this evening to replace the swim.

I made a home made chicken chow mein today. I put the ingredients through MPF and it came out as 330 which seems ridiculously low! It had..

-450g chicken breast (raw weight)
-Asda medium egg noodles (2 nests)
-Asda fresh bean sprouts (2x 200g bags)
-106g baby corn
-300g brown onions
-1 Medium carrot
-2 green peppers
-OXO chicken stockpot (20g stock pot)
-Asda light soy sauce 45ml approx
-Asda dark soy sauce 30ml approx
-90g Asparagus (it needed using up)

I got 5 portions from the above, I had one for dinner tonight I’ll probably have one tomorrow and pop the other three in the freezer. Does 330kcals sound about right for that?

I did also have 2 pieces of prawn toast too at around 93kcals each. Brunch was some home made carrot and corriander soup and I also had a homemade pineapple and mango smoothie with semi skimmed milk.

I did pick at a roast gammon joint I roasted for sandwiches this week.

According to MPF calories for the day was 836, and total burned for the day (so far at 23:12) is 2,480. Which means a deficit of 1,644. If the chow mein dish is accurate.

How did everyone else’s day go?

TealSloth · 02/04/2025 07:22

Please can I join. Thankyou.

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 02/04/2025 07:36

@Satonatrain sounds lovely! Absolutely no idea on if the calls are right.
Great day for you.

We had yuzu sea bass, rice, edamame beans and spinach (Dh cooked so even nicer).
I’m doing vegetable gnocchi tonight which is obviously quite heavy although the gnocchi comes in at 450 calories and the sea bass at 752 which seems bizarre.
We use gusto so easy to see nutritional information.

No exercise for me yesterday. Struggling with a health issue at the moment so being careful for now. Hopefully back to it soon.

I’d like to join. I work in KG but need to loose I’m 160lbs and need to aim for 135lbs over the next 12 months. I have lots of meals out and events in April and would love to navigate these.

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 02/04/2025 07:36

@TealSloth Hi!

Hello. Look forward sharing my weight loss on this thread I can't wait.

ThisUniqueDreamer · 02/04/2025 09:08

I now have a holiday booked in a month, not a beach holiday, quite the opposite, hiking but would be nice not to be carrying as much weight.

Id like to have the 4lbs off. I had a bad day yesterday and ate pizza. Back on track today.

Goandygo · 02/04/2025 09:15

Morning, everyone, great to see a few more people on here !
My day fell apart yesterday ( sun + unexpected day off = wine and pizza).
However, where previously I would give up, I'm getting back on track.
I know when I eat properly, walk more and drink more water, it does come off. And, dare I say it....I actually enjoy it.
I weigh Saturday so I've got 3 days to correct my mistakes 🤣
Mother's day was lovely but as always with me, life gets in the way.
I'm sure if I lived like a hermit in the middle of nowhere, I'd be 10st.

Goandygo · 02/04/2025 09:16

@Satonatrain thanks for the recipe - I love noodle based meals.
