April, nice and easy 4 pounds.

Anyone fancy joining us for a goal to loose 4lb in April?
A few of us have found that no matter what the end goal is that breaking this down into smaller 4lb monthly chunks is much more manageable (and less scary).

We all had different ways to reach our goal and different end goals.

Anyone interested in focusing on 4 lbs?

@Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth yup.

Sundays are not days of fasting. Because on every Sunday they are to remember and celebrate the Resurrection of Christ in the Mass.

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 07/04/2025 22:39

I didn’t know that! Thank you.

I am so hungry today! Trying lots of water but going to move my eating window.

Morning all, I’m another 1lb down so under 12 stone for the first time in years. I had a few years of not really weighing myself so hard to say exactly when I was last under 12 stone but pre Covid by some way!

Still enjoying the gym and trying to go 4 times a week minimum.

I think another stone and that will be me. I want to be a healthy bmi and for my goal weight to be sustainable. I’ve never been ‘slender’ and I’m 5’6 so I feel 11 stone ish is a good realistic weight.

Hope everyone is having a good day, sunny again down south😎

ParsnipPuree · 08/04/2025 13:12

Can I join? That’s what I plan to lose in April, spurred on by my bil who kindly commented that he’s glad I’ve put on a bit of weight!!! Despite dh telling me he’s an arsehole I can’t get his comment out my head.. maybe it’s what I needed.. anyway I’m on board!

Doyouthinktheyknow · 08/04/2025 15:38

@ParsnipPuree Welcome🙌
Your BIL is an arse, your DH is right, how incredibly rude!
It is hard to shake off those types of comments but it’s definitely his problem, not yours.

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 08/04/2025 17:36

Well done @Doyouthinktheyknow ! Amazing!

@ParsnipPuree How rude of him! Is he usually so rude? I had awful comments from family (I was in a healthy weight range still despite putting on weight). It says more about him than you.

Well done everyone with weight losses.. I’m ill with a horrible cold at the mo so doing a bit of comfort eating 😬 will get back on track soon!

Gingerwarthog · 08/04/2025 19:48

Can I join? Trying to lose 6 pounds in total. Gave up chocolate for Lent and have lost my sweet tooth to an extent but still eating lots of cheese and bread(!)

Thankyou😂 He looked a bit sheepish and tried to backtrack.

Wanted to tell you all a trick that works for me every time (apologies if already covered) I’ve lost a few pounds doing this and nothing else.. I stop eating after 7pm and brush my teeth. Don’t know why it works but it does.. I have no inclination to snack.

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 09/04/2025 06:32

@SnowFrogJelly hope you feel better soon.

@Gingerwarthog I love cheese!

@ParsnipPuree good tip!

OP posts:
Gingerwarthog · 09/04/2025 07:17

Yes@AmeliepoulainandthephotoboothI love cheese too and giant Wotsits and tiger bread- sometimes all as one big sandwich. This seems to have replaced Dairy Milk and I need to sort it out!

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 09/04/2025 08:53

That sounds amazing.

Satonatrain · 09/04/2025 17:25

Thanks for the tip @ParsnipPuree

Sorry I meant to check in yesterday but it totally slipped my mind. I managed to lose 2.4lbs this week which is a huge shock. I went out for pizza on Saturday and had a lazy Thursday & Friday. I was on my period though when I did my first weigh in so I’m not confident that the whole 2.3lbs is genuine weight loss 😅.

Well done everyone for the loses so far! This weather has kept me much more motivated this week, I’ve walked at least 15k steps every day this week, so long may it continue!

Starting Weight 01/04 - 10st 13.8 lbs
Current Weight 08/04 - 10st 11.5 lbs

Goal 9st 10lbs

Doyouthinktheyknow · 09/04/2025 21:08

Well done @Satonatrain, that’s a great loss!

Welcome @Gingerwarthog That sandwich sounds right up my street, love Wotsits😍

I‘m off to Margate tomorrow for the night to celebrate dh’s birthday so my diet will slightly go out the window but I will try to be mindful. Was planning a sea swim but it’s chilly today so it may be a step too far🥶

Gingerwarthog · 09/04/2025 21:22

Thank you for the sandwich love. Sometimes I had it with mayo(!)
Anyway - currently 10 stone 9 and aiming for 10 stone 3 - menopausal which is not helpful in terms of tendency to gain and my attitude to gaining (not so bothered as I used to be). However, before my clothes get too tight I need to take some action.
pleased with today - walked 5 miles with the dog and ate salad, chicken for lunch and drank loads of water. It’s a start. X

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 09/04/2025 21:48

@Satonatrain well done!

@Gingerwarthog mayo is a step too far imo 😂

OP posts:
Gingerwarthog · 09/04/2025 21:49

try it - garlic mayo.

YourOnMute · 09/04/2025 23:41

Up .5kg on the scales this morning. Hope it's just a blip as eating ok, gym and walk last few days. The weather is fab which helps.
Roasted a nectarine in the air fryer, put some greek yogurt and a few pecans on it. I was horrified to see the cals in the pecans. Much higher than I thought.

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 10/04/2025 08:17

@YourOnMute sounds delicious though!

We had some good news yesterday so had curry to celebrate. Hopefully not too much damage as doing omad.

OP posts:
Satonatrain · 10/04/2025 09:23

@Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth I’m sure the celebration curry won’t have made that much difference! Plus we all need a little treat every now and again.

How difficult do you find OMAD? I did it for a couple of weeks last year I found the days where I was pretty busy okay, but if I was at home all day I really struggled, and was constantly looking at the clock.

I am still playing for a Fastic subscription though, so may start with IF again, 16/8 works okay for me and I usually manage two meals and a snack in the eating window.

ByQuaintAzureWasp · 10/04/2025 09:32

I'd love to join

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 10/04/2025 10:55

@Satonatrain I like it although agree that if I’m not busy it’s harder! Luckily I’m mostly busy 😂 I’m not that strict with it so wouldn’t decline if invited to lunch etc.

@ByQuaintAzureWasp please do!

WeAreBorg · 11/04/2025 07:45

Hello everyone, can I please join?
Ive hit perimenopause and have put on a stone to my absolute horror and surprise.
I actually have no plan of how to lose the 4lbs mind!

I work in kilos but I think I’m 10st 5lbs and would like to be 9 and a half or so.

Ameliepoulainandthephotobooth · 11/04/2025 08:56

@WeAreBorg It creeps in doesn’t it!
