I’ve had a lot of success with HBD but have really gone off the rails with a holiday and then Christmas. I’m planning to start a reset on 7th Jan - anyone else planning the same? X

I’ve just started a reset - P2 D3 now. Good luck with yours - it works!

Fluffywithteeth · 02/01/2025 22:04

Oh well done!! Am so so looking forward to getting back on the rails!! Did you make a soup for p1?

OP posts:
Softdressesandblouses · 03/01/2025 18:16

Yes, I just go with the soups from the book, plus avocado, tomato and mushrooms for breakfast. Did you see they are starting up a 'club'? You'll know all the support you need is on Insta but this 'club' is something like £69 for 3 months. Are you joining??!

HappyHBD · 03/01/2025 22:03

Yes, here! Did great last year until I fell off the wagon and feel shit again! Happy to be starting again. Think I’ll join the new club.

Apigwithoutablanket · 05/01/2025 10:37

Hi, I have just come across the HBD after seeing the cookbook on offer on Amazon. Of course I bought it because I buy a weight loss book every January when I'm full of good intentions, which never last, and I never learn 🤦🏼‍♀️

So, will I understand the diet from the cook book alone? Should I look at any additional reading or resources?

From a slightly delusional woman who dreams of being slim!

Fluffywithteeth · 05/01/2025 18:03

I hear you @HappyHBD !! I am so pi$$ed off with myself - feel shit physically and psychologically - the latter particularly is what I’m looking forward to be rid of! when are you restarting? Are you doing the full reset?

yeak I think I might join the club - but only for the 3 months. I hardly ever listen to the lives anyway - what about you @Softdressesandblouses ?

hi @Apigwithoutablanket ! I hope you get kn well with it. I do think this is my permanent way of eating now (with the occasional massive detour!) for me, I could definitely understand everything I needed to do from the cookbook but the actual book sort of deepened my commitment to actually doing it ! Knowing and properly understanding the why of it shores up the willpower I think xx

Softdressesandblouses · 05/01/2025 18:18

@Fluffywithteeth I’ve been doing HBD since 2019 and, although I constantly need to remind myself of things & recheck etc, I’ve had such success with it that I think I’ll give the club a miss. I don’t listen to many lives either as I get impatient after 20 mins and can’t be bothered to listen to all of it, but I do find the Insta community very helpful and soothing, so often scroll! I also, tbf, am cynical about the subscription amount and think it will create a divide. So, it’s a no from me but I really hope you find it useful & come back with an update - I’d love to know!

Softdressesandblouses · 05/01/2025 18:36

Hi @Apigwithoutablanket my advice is that, if you want lasting, great results you do need the HBD book by Petronella to understand the principles and follow to the letter. That way, you’ll be less likely to fall off the wagon! The cookbook is also great but you do need to understand the why behind it. Insta is very supportive - and there’s also the club if you feel you would benefit. Good luck! X

Yeah I think I probably need to do the full reset. My first time around was Feb last year so nearly a year. Although I’m really annoyed with myself at least I know this works and makes me feel good, In the past I’ve got so confused and flip flopped between random diets!

HappyHBD · 06/01/2025 03:21

@Apigwithoutablanket I also recommend the full book. The kindle one is useful because you can word search when you’re trying to remember something. It’s worth it. Make sure you get the ‘2nd edition’ one.

Agree it is a lot and might make a divide. I think it would be better to be a lower monthly ongoing amount. Maybe they’ll figure that out. I am looking forward to having an easy place to ask questions, insta can be a bit tricky for that.

Fluffywithteeth · 06/01/2025 07:38

Yes the fee is high I think but I’m hoping it will give me an initial boost. When are you going to start your reset @HappyHBD ? Tomorrow for me! X

That’s true, it can be tricky x

I’m already on P2D7 @Fluffywithteeth !! There’s a guided one via the club on 11th, if you think that may give you the extra boost? X

Fluffywithteeth · 06/01/2025 19:53

Oh that’s so good you’re already into it! Yes I saw they were doing that in the 11th - I am just desperate to get going now …. Tomorrow it is! X

Good luck! Got your Epsom salts at the ready? 😃

Justhere65 · 06/01/2025 22:21

I am starting tomorrow. I hope I can stick with it as have been diagnosed with pre diabetes and will be following this thread … good luck!

Good luck @Justhere65 ! DH was diagnosed pre-diabetes and reversed with careful diet. HBD is ace for regulating blood sugar. X

HelenHywater · 07/01/2025 07:26

Hello all. I'm starting today. I have a question though about P2. I always start the day with a black coffee. Can I do this on P2? I know she says that you can only have coffee with meals, but what do I do about my first coffee? I can't imagine eating my half an avocado at 6.30am....

Other than that I'm raring to go! I'm combining my HBD with the Hard 75 challenge

HelenHywater · 07/01/2025 07:26

One other question - where is the Insta group? I couldn't see any chat on the HBD account. Thanks!

Justhere65 · 07/01/2025 07:32

The thing I am most going to miss is my milky coffees and porridge for breakfast!

Justhere65 · 07/01/2025 07:35

It is hbdbodyreset. Good luck x

Fluffywithteeth · 07/01/2025 07:52

Thanks @Softdressesandblouses ! Epsom salts downed and veg soup for breakfast!

@HelenHywater good luck! Sorry - no coffee without breakfast. Coffee (tea etc) only with meals until P4. also worth checking out what the book says re exercise ….

if you search for petronella on Insta you’ll find everyone there

Good luck @Justhere65 ! I’m really sorry to hear about your diagnosis - absolutely brilliant you’re taking up hbd - the approach definitely works for this

what I love about hbd is how quickly it worked for me - and how good the results vs pain ratio is! It’s why I’m so annoyed with myself for going so off the rails …. Anyway, not even going to weigh myself until I’ve finished P2 and then focus on my ultimate goal of getting to 60kg 💪🏼

hope everyone else is ok ? Xx

HelenHywater · 07/01/2025 07:56

Oh I thought so @Fluffywithteeth . Looks like I'll be eating my breakfast very early!

I'm not doing cardio exercise - just yoga, pilates, weights and walking. (not all of them every day).

HelenHywater · 07/01/2025 07:58

I'm aiming for 60kg too.
