I’ve had a lot of success with HBD but have really gone off the rails with a holiday and then Christmas. I’m planning to start a reset on 7th Jan - anyone else planning the same? X

@HelenHywater I discovered that butternut squash triggers my ibs during phase 1 too! I tested it twice more, and it's definitely a trigger! I wonder why?!
I find nuts are brilliant at satisfying cravings, and they're very high calorie. Under my modified hbd, I'll be having around 1500 calories a day, so I'm not planning to have treat meals anyway. I definitely function best with consistency - one treat meal and I can be lost forever... 🤣

Phase 2 definitely worked for me. Making the recipes in the book and following the rules. Avoiding berries and the like. Phase 3 is too much of a slippery slope for me!

I read about a modified Phase 3 which is Phase 2 with oil, so maybe I'll try that. I do have a social life now though which I didn't really in my original phase 2 (I was doing dry Jan and so were most of my friends, so we all stayed in!), and I need to try to be careful that alcohol doesn't lead to recklessness with food.

Hello all! I’ve been reading about HBD for several days now and am looking to start P1 from this Sunday. I’m 44 and peri menopausal and need to lose about 10-12kgs. I’ve been a yo yo dieter for years so really hoping this is what I’ve been missing 😊

Hello! I started the HB diet in January and lost 7lbs which is a lot for me. I did relapse on the diet but amazingly the weight stayed off. I restarted P3 a week ago and have lost a further 2lbs. So I am a fan!
There is a very good Facebook group called ‘Friends Doing HBD’ which is so helpful.

Thanks for the FB page tip, I'm on day 5 of Phase 2. I get hungry in the hour before I can eat, is this normal?

I have never once been hungry on this way of eating… are you eating the correct weight of food for your body weight?

@girluwant2 , I think it might be the thought of what I am going to eat as if I keep busy I'm ok. Also I walk to work and walk the dog and wonder if on some days it's too much "cardio".

@tennissquare you might be doing too much.. as there is a no exercise rule in P2.
we all find a way to make it work for us though…

and I lost two dress sizes in a couple of months and then took it easy for 6 weeks for birthdays and other events that seemed non stop… back on it properly this week though as I’d like to lose another two dress sizes… best of luck to both of you 🥰

Started today! Actually really enjoyed my vegetable breakfast as was at a wedding yesterday so slightly over indulged!
looking forward to a vegetable style ramen for lunch minus the noodles and everything else not included in p1
