Team RH - has anyone actually been visited by a debt collector

Has anyone used Team RH and had a bad experience or had debt collectors at the door? I used the app for 1 day. Total scam and mis sold. Only after waiving your right to the 14 day cooling off period, creating a direct debit, does it tell you to download my fitness pal which is free and clunky. It did all the work.

I used team RH for 1 day and tried to cancel to be told no. There is no way I'm paying for a 12 month contract for a service I used for one day. I don't follow the plan, I don't take any notice of the goals I've been set. I'd rather be fat to be honest.

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has actually had debt collectors come to the door or is it just the bully emails and calls? has anyone experienced anything?

There's a thread on Tattle about this chap - may have some good advice about it. Not sure whether the waiving of the 14 day cooling off period is valid - it is if there is digital content that you can download, but if the only content you've accessed is MFP they sound on very dodgy ground...

I was also going to suggest reading the tattle threads. Most of the people on there have been threatened with it but nothing has ever come of it

I had the same issue and ended up paying the 12 months as I was worried they would report me to a credit agency for missed payments and bugger up my credit rating. I wouldn't worry about debt collectors as we use them at my work and they cost more than Richie's poxy years subscription. He is a total twat.

He’s a total bell end. The rational part of me knows it won’t go as far as debt collectors. I’m just on the hunt for people who have actually had people come to their home or their credit rating has been affected.

I’ve been reading into it on tattle. I’m not concerned about it. From what I’ve seen, he sends a few nasty emails and videos of him claiming the service is £250 but he’s discounted it to £80 odd. He says he’s stuck to his side of the bargain now you must pay. I only used it for one day so I’m not forking out money based on his sneaky terms. I just think they’ll intimidate and make threats. Team RH have a retentions team, so I think that’s the debt recovery, cause it’s unlikely they’d outsource as it’ll cost more than the contract.

I agree i signed up to this app, its utter rubbish, my fitness pal is shocking you dont get anything for your money. I emailed after 2 hours to ask if i could cancel but was told No.
I honestly would not reccomend to anyone its shocking.

It’s just a con! Absolute scam. I’ve not seen one case about anyone having their credit rating affected. It’s all hot air

14 days is the statutory minimum companies must give you. Their terms and conditions can give you longer than this but not shorter. It cannot be waived.

It would cost him money to bring in debt collectors so I honestly would not worry. Block where you can and just ignore this total tool of a man.

They claim they can ask you to waive your right because it’s digital content, so they compare it to if you purchase a film from Amazon, you don’t get a 14 day cooling off period. They are very sneaky. The terms also say you waive your right once the service is fully performed whatever that means.

I got caught out by them too. It’s a shitty app and he is an idiot.

I’d love watchdog to investigate them. I think anyone who has had a bad experience should email watchdog. There are too many people who’ve had an awful experience. I really don’t understand how they get good reviews.

check out their trust pilot, they claim they are under cyber attack from a rival weight loss company. And a 4.5 rating with a solid 8% one star reviews

Oh I got hit by this twat too! I just cancelled my direct debit, got a threatening email and haven’t heard anything since.

It’s an award winning app don’t you know. Not awarding body in their right mind would indorse the team rh app.

I hadn't heard of this app so had a Google and found the Instagram on which the first video was a sweaty rant ending with a comment about how if you don't agree with him you can slag him off on fucking mumsnet, he doesnt care so I think youll be fine 😂

He’s a thick, misogynistic arsehole. Rather than threaten people with debt collectors, he should probably do some research into why so many people are wanting to cancel and work on that.

He’s got hella tiny dick energy. Annoyed I fell for it! The programme is absolute shite as well.
