Team RH - has anyone actually been visited by a debt collector

Has anyone used Team RH and had a bad experience or had debt collectors at the door? I used the app for 1 day. Total scam and mis sold. Only after waiving your right to the 14 day cooling off period, creating a direct debit, does it tell you to download my fitness pal which is free and clunky. It did all the work.

I used team RH for 1 day and tried to cancel to be told no. There is no way I'm paying for a 12 month contract for a service I used for one day. I don't follow the plan, I don't take any notice of the goals I've been set. I'd rather be fat to be honest.

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone has actually had debt collectors come to the door or is it just the bully emails and calls? has anyone experienced anything?

@GeneralMusings RebelFit used to be quite good but in my opinion they have become a lot like RH. Their whole premise now seems to be slagging off slimming world and other diet plans. Different things work for different people, if their own plan is that good then they shouldn’t need to be slating other companies to get attention and members

I’d love a journalist to investigate this company. It would be a good one for some starting out.

Have any of you tried Rebelfit? Is that any good? It looks similar.

I did once sign up to Joe wicks in a post covid fit of enthusiasm and emailsd begging for a refund saying it was a drunken late night moment of enthusiasm and I was nowhere ready for Joe Wicks. I got a lovely email back and a refund!

I did this a few years ago, tried to cancel, told I couldn’t, tried to cancel direct debit, they threatened legal route. In the end I left it and then cancelled at the end of the year, even then they were trying to keep me.
Awful site, he just slags people off and makes them feel shit about themselves.

Yep if your main selling point is slagging other diet company's off. Then your plan isn't very good in first place.

Might be worth checking with Citizens Advice if nothing else, to raise their awareness.

there will be legal protection under Distance Selling, that this knucklehead can't just sweep aside.

you're doing the right thing by ignoring and not feeding the troll, but for vulnerable people, it will be frightening the be threatened and bullied like that.

Yep he thinks his waiving a cooling off period is legal, and his terms and conditions can override legal rights.

The guy is mysoginic and vile.

I'm quite refreshed that no one has come to defend them unlike threads about them in the past.

I emailed them weeks ago but only got a generic response. I think if more people email watchdog about their experiences, they need to listen and do something. There are far too many people who have been conned and threatened.

Also, I saw on LinkedIn, that they are recruiting a head of marketing salary between 65-75k depending on experience.

All I remember is having to set a step goal, macros and yes I did have to join MFP (which I hate). I genuinely don’t remember anything scammy about it.

Thanks for the heads up, I’ve toyed with joining up before but won’t now. To be honest his videos slagging people off have also put me off previously.

I cancelled at a year like others too concerned about what would happen if I cancelled. But Richie is awful the app is dreadful and I can't bare to watch any of his videos 🤢.
