OK, my first attempt at a thread failed through my own fault, let's try again:

Limited duration because longer threads usually taper off. Ending the week beginning 24th of July, final weigh in/measurement Sunday the 30th (additional to the Thursday).

Weigh in or waist measurement Monday and Thursday. (I'm using waist measurement as I don't like weighing myself).

Using a recognised intermittent fasting schedule (e.g. 16/8, 5:2).

Optional exercise where possible, logged in the thread.

Starting tomorrow.

Is anyone up for slimming down in time for August?😀

Hello again, sorry I always miss the Thursday update as it's my day off with the toddler, so here's my late weigh in today:

Weigh in 8

Height: 5 ft 7
Starting Weight: 76.5kg // 12st
Current Weight: 74kg// 11st 6lb
IF schedule: aiming for 17/7, eating between 1-8pm and cutting portion size.
Size: 14
Target: 72.5kg // 11st 4lb by 30 July
Still to lose: 2.5kg in 3 weeks

Really delighted this week, with my progress from before this challenge I've lost a total of 6kg in just under 2 months and I'm really seeing a difference in my clothes.

Also I treated myself to lunch out yesterday and couldn't finish my burger and chips. I think my stomach is definitely getting used to smaller portions. Bit sad to leave almost a whole portion of chips (especially when it cost £16!) but rather stay on track than force food down myself.

Glad to see a loss today after last weeks gain.

Not getting as much exercise in as I could, plan to walk more this week - aim of 10k steps per day.

A gain of 2lbs since last Thursday which is typical for me after the weekend. Should be back to 12st 8lbs tomorrow ready to be 12st 6lbs on Thursday 🤞🏻

Not measuring as such, but looking forward to having more of my wardrobe available to me.

IF 16:8 (eating window 11.30am-7.30pm)
No food restrictions other than having a smaller piece of cake (or whatever) and not automatically going back for more, eating less at mealtimes if I'm not completely hungry... in summary, being a bit more mindful.

Gained over the weekend, disappointing as thought I'd been relatively consistent with my meals but I did eat out twice so maybe ate more than usual. Hoping to be back down at 74kg by the end of the week.

I think I might have to go to bed, if I have a black tea then the caffeine will affect me and if I have a mint tea I'll be up weeing all night 🤣 hoping this hunger leads to another 2lb loss on Thursday 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

my waist measurement hasn't moved but I've taking my rings off has got a lot easier! I was having to use a lot of body lotion to get them off my fingers especially if I was hot but they're just coming off as normal now! A small win but I'll take it

I didn't sleep very well but managed to stick to fast and lasted 19 hours 👍🏻 broke it at 1 and have just started cooking dinner so hoping to start fasting again by 5. Good luck for tomorrow!

You didn't eat for 40 hours?? How did you feel?? How did you manage it? The longest I've managed is 23.

@violetcuriosity I set out to just do 36 so stopped eating after dinner on night and then had a whole day of not eating and then ate at around 11 on day 2...found it very easy as I was busy all day. I kept telling myself even if I got to 20 hours that would be fine and I'd have dinner if I really needed it. Felt great and could have actually done longer!

Keeping up with 10k steps a day and eating between 1pm-7pm

Happy to be halfway there on my weight loss target at the halfway mark of the 5 week challenge… this is where it gets hard for me - my body likes to hover in the 70-73kg range. It is always a struggle to drop to and then maintain a weight of 67/68kg. Hoping this challenge will keep me focussed for the next few weigh ins.

However, I have lost 1.5inches around my waist. Started at 33inches and measured today and it's 31.5in. Does that make any sense?!
