OK, my first attempt at a thread failed through my own fault, let's try again:

Limited duration because longer threads usually taper off. Ending the week beginning 24th of July, final weigh in/measurement Sunday the 30th (additional to the Thursday).

Weigh in or waist measurement Monday and Thursday. (I'm using waist measurement as I don't like weighing myself).

Using a recognised intermittent fasting schedule (e.g. 16/8, 5:2).

Optional exercise where possible, logged in the thread.

Starting tomorrow.

Is anyone up for slimming down in time for August?😀

Need to eat more mindfully and just not start on crisps as I definitely have the "once you pop, you can't stop" thing going in
Overall target 74kg

Not measuring as such, but looking forward to having more of my wardrobe available to me.

IF 16:8 (eating window 11.30am-7.30pm)
No food restrictions other than having a smaller piece of cake (or whatever) and not automatically going back for more, eating less at mealtimes if I'm not completely hungry... in summary, being a bit more mindful.

i haven’t been measuring & am down 4 only but can see a massive difference in my waist! It’s normally where I keep weight on, so maybe it’s just come off there first but clothes are looking so much better on me. Keep it up!

I think same for me. Weight loss is slow and steady but my waist is looking more firm than "jelly" 😬 i am only mildly satisfied with my weight loss but i see big difference on my waist!

Hi all, another late update from me but I did weigh in yesterday:

Height: 5 ft 7
Starting Weight: 76.5kg // 12st
Current Weight: 73.6kg// 11st 5lb
IF schedule: aiming for 17/7, eating between 1-8pm and cutting portion size.
Size: 14
Target: 72.5kg // 11st 4lb by 30 July
Still to lose: 1kg in 2 weeks

Feeling better since seeing a loss from Monday. I don't know where these apparent grams are falling off though as my progress pics look exactly the same (and I started in May so 2 months ago now). I do think some of my clothes look a little looser, but not 6kg looser which is what I'm down in total. Oh well.

Off to a wedding this weekend and staying on a few days for a little break so hoping I don't go too off the rails. Hope everyone else has a great weekend, and it's great to see everyone's progress!

Well done everyone, seems like everyone is losing, it's funny how it's at different rates but all ends up levelling out!

I know it's against the rules but I did a 24 hour fast yesterday and weighed this morning because I felt so demoralised after maintaining yesterday and I've dropped another 1.5lbs so back on track.

Total loss now- 9lbs 🙌🏻

How is everyone getting on with IF at weekends? I like a few glasses of wine on a Friday and sat; but doesn’t really work with my 18:6. I had two glasses with dinner last night but felt I was drinking fast to get them in before 7pm 😬

Not great, had a Chinese and 3 glasses of wine Friday so ended up having to fast until 2:30pm yesterday then went to a bbq and drank wine again so started fasting at 8 even though I hadn't eaten since 4:30!

Monday seems to be a better day to weigh in for me. 2.5lbs off since Thurs and into the 14 bracket.

Original start Weight (16th June): 15st 9lbs
Thread start weight: 15st 5lbs

Current weight: 14st 13lbs

Loss so far: 10lbs
Loss since thread start: 6lbs

Was down to 12st 7lbs last Thursday so hoping my water intake will get me to that tomorrow and then be on track to be 12st 5 or 6lbs Thursday 🤞🏻

Typical "stay the same Thursday" for me! Although did have a huge and off plan Turkish meal on Tues to celebrate my course finishing so pretty relieved it's not a gain!
