Hi,

I'm starting back on a healthy regime today, I was going to start on the 1st, but seize the day and all that.

Got on the scales this morning and am 206.2 lbs 😣

I'd like to get to 130 lbs so have around 5st/74 lbs to lose.

Feel free to join me but I aim to post daily to keep myself on track. I'm going to go low carb, maybe do an 8 hour eating window and keep a small eye on calories. I have gym membership but haven't been for a while, and also exercise witha friend a couple of times a week.

Weigh in day.....2lbs off 😊💃

Surprised because I actually had 12,500 calories over the week which works out at 1785 per day.

Yesterday:
Protein shake
Hummus and ryvita
Sirloin steak, baked potato, mushrooms, tomato, peas.
5 Lindt chocs

Well done!

I'm up today, 202.6 lbs. Its no surprise though, yesterday I had:

2 frikadellen and a fried egg
a choc liebnitz type biscuit
nuts and pork crunch
boquerones fritos & alioli
Lamb, a green pepper and smashed potatoes
2 baked bananas, kiwi, nata ice cream and a squirt of squirty cream
then 3 more potatoes on the way to bed

Good morning everyone :)

My scales wouldn't work this morning, even though I changed the batteries the other day.

Yesterday I had a bit of a day off:

less that 2l water
1 green tea
2 frikadellen sausages and a pitta
another pitta with cheese and a slice of chorizo
a few crisps
boquerones fritos, bread and alioli
a small bit of curry and rice
a slice of cake from the patisserie

Today I might have beans on toast, with cheese for lunch
and not sure what for dinner yet because I'm going to do an exercise class straight after work.

weighing tomorrow, scary

just popped to the supermarket and it was interesting. Found it quite easy to walk past certain things, but I am quite down so not sure if that's good or bad.

I have had lentils two days this week and had indigestion after. that's annoying as they are tasty and filling, I find.

Fell off the wagon quite a bit today with lunch out
no need for dinner though! Though at one stage, I'd have found an excuse to have dinner, so that's good.

I fell off the wagon too. My scales still aren't working so I'm going to leave them and weigh once a week in the chemist maybe. And go by my clothes. Its probably healthier that way.

I have 12 week until the week of my work event. I am going to have meal replacement products through the day and maybe a dinner at night, maybe a product. I've done it before and it does work if you stick to it, I did it religiously for nearly 4 months and lost 3-4 stone before. Its a bit like fasting in that once you get past the first couple of days your hunger adjusts and you aren't hungry any more.

We made a(nother 😆) curry yesterday but I didn't like it much, the tomatoes didn't cook out of it and it didn't taste much like curry, DH liked it, but I shouldn't be tempted by dinner tonight.

Whats everyones plans for the week?

I've written out my meals in my planner, and my exercise sessions. I'm going to my friends house on Tuesday and Thursday evening to do an exercise class and I'm going on a walk that my gym is going on, on Sunday. I think I will leave it at that this week as I am getting back up to speed after injury.

TaRa you are very organised. I had a protein shake for breakfast and a sandwich for lunch. But tomorrow taking mum out for pancakes, which I will have - but hoping to manage the whole day on a protein shake before we go out.

There's a method to it, if it's written in the book, then it's got to happen 😂 plus I love a plan lol.

I had two shakes today and a salad tonight. It was the texas chicken one from lidl, with wraps but I've given those to dh to have with his curry and I added tomato, cucumber, red onion and a tbsp of crispy onions over the top. I've had 2l water so far and 4 green teas.

I'm not feeling hungry yet, I've made the shakes with 200ml sugar free soya milk, and am going to stick to eating between 12-8. When I do that I try to eat at 12, 4 and 8 so I can get in a routine and know how long until I can eat something again.

(For me) The key is learning how to have events and not let it derail you and get straight back on the wagon after, if I had a birthday meal tomorrow, for example, that would usually blow my whole week, because I may as well start again on Monday now'. You did really well the other day after you went out, you can do it this week 💪

@TaRaDeBumDeAy I did the total meal replacement 16 years ago for 3 months, found it very easy and lost 3 1/2 stone. I just can't get in the right frame of mind to repeat it, wish I could. Now that 31/2 stone has become 6!

I find the meal replacement is easy if I don't try to tweak it and add snacks etc, then that makes me hungrier. If I stick to it religiously, the hunger goes. One side effect for me though is keto insomnia. I didn't think it would start so quickly but I was awake until about 3.30-4.00am this morning!

I feel much better after just one day though, I can feel a lot of bloating has gone down. I ate loads of beige shite over the weekend so will be holding salt and glycogen. When I eat badly or am bloated or fatter then a certain point, I get an uncomfortable feeling in my left side, its probably an inflamed stomach or something but that has gone this morning.

Yesterday in total I had:
3L water
5 green teas
A shake at 12
A shake at 4
Chicken salad at 8

I'm a bit peeved that I couldn't weigh yesterday as a starting point reference but I suppose it doesn't really matter.

My day is already plotted out in my planner, and I'm supposed to be doing an exercise class tonight but tbh, I wouldn't mind swerving it again this week, but thats just laziness talking, theres no real reason why I shouldn't go.

@Diddelydi I think that's why it works for me, plus the black and white of it. There's no 'oh just this little bit won't hurt' that then turns into a week of unsupervised toddler at a birthday party 🍰🍫🍕🍟🍔🍩🍪🍧

So I did the class yesterday! It was only a half hour one, and quite hard, and it showed how set back to the beginning I am again in terms of fitness. Hopefully if I'm consistent, it will come back quickly.

Yesterday I had/did:
2.5L water
5 green teas
Shake at 12
Salad (same as the day before) at 4
Exercise class
a small bowl of chicken curry

Today I plan to have 3 shakes or products, I've got loads of exante products left still. I changed the batteries again in my scales and they are working again. God only knows what I went up to on the weekend becasue I was 201.1lbs this morning and I feel much less bloated etc than I was.

Hows your weigh in this morning @Diddelydi ?

How are you getting on @EmmaEmerald ?

That's 11.5lbs in total.
I had a total of 10,200 calories over the week.
I have got super motivation now to carry on.

Yesterday
Protein shake
Homemade (friend) corned beef pastie
Sirloin steak, mushroom, onion, creamy garlic sauce, airfry chips, broccoli, cauliflower.
