Hi,

I'm starting back on a healthy regime today, I was going to start on the 1st, but seize the day and all that.

Got on the scales this morning and am 206.2 lbs 😣

I'd like to get to 130 lbs so have around 5st/74 lbs to lose.

Feel free to join me but I aim to post daily to keep myself on track. I'm going to go low carb, maybe do an 8 hour eating window and keep a small eye on calories. I have gym membership but haven't been for a while, and also exercise witha friend a couple of times a week.

Protein shake
Hummus and ryvita
Aldi sourdough chicken kiev, airfry chips, cauliflower, carrots, broccoli
Bottle of wine

199.6 lbs today.

Yesterday I had:
2l water
4 green teas, with 2 stevia each
A bit of cheese
A few forkfulls of coleslaw
Some pork crunch
Homemade chicken, red pepper and potato curry with cauliflower rice

I didn't intend to skip breakfast and lunch, I intended to have shakes but I wasn't hungry til later and by then I just decided to have some little snacks and wait for my dinner.

The curry is 😋😋😋

This is the recipe:

Brown the chicken, remove
Onion
Garlic
Ginger
1 tbsp of curry powder
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 tbsp ground coriander
1 tbsp garam masala
1 tbsp turmeric
salt and pepper
400g of tinned chopped tomatoes
1/2 lemon, juiced
2 tbsp of desiccated coconut
2 Maggi stock cubes
2 Normal chicken stock cubes
Bay leaves
Chilli flakes to taste
Add chicken, potatoes
Let cook then add peppers once they won't cook out

Serve with cauliflower rice

Yesterday I didn't have any garam masala though. And I don't know if you can get Maggi cubes in the UK, maybe throw in a knorr jelly one instead.

Oh, and add water after adding the tomatoes.

Ended up eating a piece of toast before bed last night

today's food

protein shake at breakfast
omelette and roast veg at lunch, including a couple of baby potatoes
salmon and salad for dinner
ate a nectarine and blueberries through the day

I debated adding some rice but then thought, I'll see how I feel. There's salmon left for tomorrow.

I don't feel full, but I suppose I have to get used to that.

I feel ok to not eat anything else, but feel like I want a bit of curry.

Today I've had:

1l water
5 Green teas
A banana
1/2 a 3 egg omelette, with mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, garlic and cheese.
A fair bit of pork crunch
Hummus
A falafel
A little bit of cheese
1 tiny tostada cracker
Coleslaw

Looking at that, I should have some curry, thats not enough for the day really, even though I'm not particularly hungry.

I've had a low cal hot chocolate. There's only a couple of sachets left. The idea is not to buy anything more and lose the taste for sweet stuff.

I did the same as you, two slices of toast with butter and marmalade😋 before bed, first time I've broken the 16/8 rule.

I didn't eat again last night but I woke up with a headache and indigestion. Not things I get generally. Too much protein probably. Will see how the day goes but it won't include protein powder.

I'm in Spain.

I met my friend this afternoon at a bar, and had a mint green tea, and some nuts but right when we were leaving the bar sent out (knock off probably) baileys and I didn't want to drink it but did. My friend said don't worry, its probably mostly water sugar imo so I drank it cos its a marathon not a sprint 😂

Then I had curry and cauliflower rice again.

Oh and then one if those protein quark yoghurts from lidl.

Had 4 green teas and 1.5l water today.

200.1 lbs for me today. I knew it would be up this morning.

I was going to do shakes today but I'm quite hungry today so I think I'll have an omelette with some avocado for lunch. Probably curry and cauliflower rice for dinner again today, then that will be the last of it. I need to decide what to make next, and I should get on the portioning and freezing thing so we don't eat the same thing days in a row - but I don't mind that tbh. Maybe I'll make a chilli thats light on the carby beans. It's still cold and miserable here.

Far too many gin and slimlines!!
Beef Stroganoff, rice
Double chocolate whispa bar
Small bowl of crisps

Don't think I will lose this week, but we will see.

Diddelydi glad you had fun. I'm out a couple of nights this week.

I nearly bought some Fibre One bars - the chocolate flavour. Then I thought, nah, regardless of calories, I'm supposed to be losing my taste for this. So I didn't buy them. I'm proud of me, lol.

The fibre one are good, but I would binge the whole packet!
I have a horrible relationship with food , I think from starting dieting at 14.
I'm eating everything in sight or calorie counting.

Hi all, hope it's okay for me to join too. I've a fair bit of weight to lose, but I'm ready to tackle it again. I actually started 3 days ago and have lost a few pounds already, but I'll put up my stats. I'm insulin resistant, and regularly check my bloods to keep them stable. I've had gestational diabetes for all pregnancies, but I'm not pregnant now and want to keep an eye on my blood sugar. I've been told I'm at risk for diabetes permanently.

Diddelydi I see, I didn't think they'd taste that good but if they are really like a chocolate cake bar, then I'd be at risk of having two rather than one.

Getting a bit worried about this tired feeling, I wasn't 100% over my cold, I hope it's not about to return. Eek.

201.2 for me today. I think I've been having too many potatoes in my curry 😶

Yesterday I had

2 sausages
curry & cauliflower rice
a small handful of peanuts
2.5l water
4 green teas

I had actually forgotten it was Valentines till I read this! I'm out this evening but not for that! I'm not too worried as I'm not on a strict plan.

If I'm going to have dessert, I usually have a light main, but then I find dessert more important!
