Friday weigh in club!

Anyone fancy joining me in weighing every Friday and posting our progress? I will also post what exercise I have managed that week.
I need somewhere to be accountable! Ideas for meals would be good to share as we go along too.
I have around a stone to lose and am aiming for 1lb a week loss. I will be loosely calorie counting.

Exercise isn’t my problem, I run roughly 15 miles a week and enjoy it.

Diet and specifically snacking and binging is my big downfall.

I’ve been trying to lose weight for 3 years, but when I say trying, not very hard. I give up after only a few days.

Sorry had to, obviously I knew what you meant.

Maybe with the binging when you get a craving try a glass of water/tea or diet Coke first. Then if that doesn't satisfy or keep it a bay have some low calorie snacks/sweets/fruit at hand. Although binging on artificially sweetened products is definitely not a good idea....

Keep posting, it keeps you countable.

Thank you, yes the binging is such an issue and almost subconscious. I've been listening to a podcast on it on and off which does help as it tries to keep you remembering it's just an urge that will pass (boredom mainly for me).

I will definitely keep posting!

Morning! I'm at my mum's for a fortnight and it's already a bit of a battle to get her to understand why I'm being so strict (she's naturally thin, never been on a diet and whilst she'll comment on my weight she doesn't like me weighing things or having small portionsHmm) and I'm slightly dreading it.

Tomorrow is a new day. But you can get back on track for the rest of today. The only thing that could be 'losing it ' is quitting entirely

@Cantdoattitude , yep calorie counting. I go between 1000-1200 Sun- Thurs and then eat what I want either reason on Friday's and Saturdays.

Wow I could never do that low! I used to and it's how I've lost weight in the past but I couldn't face it now. I struggle to do 1500!

@Cantdoattitude , I know its low and most people have a 😱 reaction but at 1500 I gain weight and keep gaining. I am fit and healthy, no known medical issues and 5ft 9 but alas I expand if I go above 1500🤷🏼‍♀️- tried and tested believe Me!

I'm only hard core sun- Thursday tho!

Checking in again after a few weeks! Life is rather hectic at the moment - work trips away, sick kids etc. so haven't been calorie counting everyday.

Weight today 130.4lbs.
I've been hovering around 131lbs-132lbs for about 2-3 weeks now, but I'm fine with that as (like I say) my head isn't 100% in it at the moment so I'm pleased to see even a very slow down trend! Looking back, I last checked in on this thread after my holiday in mid-Feb and I was 134lbs (had put on 1.5lbs on the holiday!).

Have some dental work planned for next Tuesday which will likely mean sore teeth for most of the week and soup diet. Hoping that in itself will help me shift some more pounds!

Well done to everyone else! You're all smashing it!

I've no idea if I've lost or not. I don't want to use the scales I bought because they're just giving different readings.
I'm going to a slimming club tomorrow so I'll take it from there.

Happy Friday! Weighed in at 11 stone 4 this morning so 3lbs down from last week. In reality probably not lost anything much (maybe 1lb) as I was mega bloated last week and 11 stone 7 was an all time high, I usually hover/get stuck at around 11 stone 1. Going in the right direction at least. Might have this weekend off alcohol.

Well done @choc27 (I'd love to be 145lbs again, that was a good weight for me) and well done @IHeartGeneHunt, that's such an impressive overall loss! Good luck at slimming club tomorrow @Amdone123.

Everyone has done so well this week, good on you losers!

I'm down 1lb but I think closer to 2lb this week- I normally weigh I stone and pounds as its the only measure I can picture! Looking at lbs on my scales I was 147.6 last week this week 145.8lb.

Happier this week but it's slow going considering how hard I'm trying! Half a stone down in 2 months so far.

Saying that I've had several people mention I look different- I've been wearing a more fitted work uniform top rather than a baggy one so not sure if I really do IYSWIM?

I got weighed. Despite having been really sensible, active ( and sober) this last week, and feeling lighter, tummy flatter, I am 13st 6.
I'm a bit disappointed but really I'm going to stop moaning. I think I was 13st 8 a few weeks ago, so that's a loss.

I am determined to have a good loss next week.

Hope everyone had a good week and congrats on the losses. I keep telling myself that's it's all about consistency, one bad day doesn't matter.

Last week after norovirus I was 58.5 kg. This week I'm 59.5 kg. Now we have a bad cold going through the household. I'm hoping that after this illness that will be it for a while. Very tired of being unwell or looking after poorly children
