Friday weigh in club!

Anyone fancy joining me in weighing every Friday and posting our progress? I will also post what exercise I have managed that week.
I need somewhere to be accountable! Ideas for meals would be good to share as we go along too.
I have around a stone to lose and am aiming for 1lb a week loss. I will be loosely calorie counting.

Afternoon, all. I've been ok apart from yesterday, but I like a day off ! I agree that it's important we're not too strict. I've also just had fish n chips but never mind !
I'll behave til Friday, then I'll have to see if I've lost. If I have, then I'll carry on because I like a relaxed approach. If not, I'll review my diet as I do really want to lose 10lb. It's not even a vanity thing anymore, more health reasons.

Weekend didn't quite go to plan. Saturday was meant to be my day of not calorie counting as we went to visit family and I knew we would be getting take away. But on Sunday after I got back from the gym I had my planned lunch and an hour later I felt sick and faint and had to eat about 2 more lunches before I felt better! Then still had to have dinner as I just felt terrible and so starving. No idea what that was about and was a bit gutted I had to eat so much but I really had no choice. Came over so faint! Must make sure I fuel properly before going to the gym maybe.
Today has gone OK though.

@choc27 , hope you're ok. Make sure you eat enough and drink that water - I get like that sometimes, especially in the morning.
Strange for me yesterday. I had fish n chips about 1pm ( tad hungover), then nothing all night. I feel OK this morning !
I should be OK the next 3 days, then weigh in Friday and see how I'm doing.

Morning all, I’m doing the same as a few of you at weekends, I don’t calorie count but I’m still being mindful of what I have, we had a takeaway this Saturday but the rest of the weekend was a fairly healthy one.

I think my problem the past 2 weeks has been that because I was having low calorie meals (shakes or soup) I felt like that meant I could snack more and wasn’t tracking calories properly. I’m picking more filling lunches now and I am not needing to snack as much. For example yesterday…

Protein Shake & Banana for breakfast
brown pitta & tuna mayo for lunch
apple & grapes for a snack

Risotto for tea
plus lots of cups of tea!
1200 cals

If anyone else wants to post examples of their day please do, I need ideas! I only have another 5lb to loose but they seem to be a VERY stubborn 5lb!!

@Amelia891 , that's great you only have 5lb to lose. Keep going, it will come off.
I'm the same, don't really calorie count, am just mindful. I couldn't do shakes or soups, though. More recently, my day's looking like this :

Brunch - baked oats with fruit, yog or pizza pitta or sourdough bread with avocado and eggs

Tea - anything I fancy really. Today is salmon, rice, feta salad and garlic bread.

I'm ok during the day but if I'm hungry, I'll have a 200 cal treat - crisps and small choc bar.

I really need to drink more water.

I've had a good few days don't wise, not walked the dog as much as usual as DH off work and has taken on that task- th DDog is his really... we do wall together sometimes but it's been nice to have my routine loosened this week. Let's see what the scales say ,ofte there is no rhyme no reason 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hey everyone, I haven't been posting because I haven't been losing. It's starting to seriously piss me off now. I'm doing c25k, eating very little midweek and the scale refuses to budge. The only thing that's keeping me going is that I'm pretty sure this has happened to me in the past. Also my legs are sore from running so I might be retaining water.

My lovely DH thinks I've lost some which is also nice. I refuse to give up!

Also, are you eating enough ?!
Well done on c25k - I've always wanted to do that.

No I'm not logging/counting because I hate it but I might have to get over that to see if I'm going over

This is an example of my meals for Monday to Friday:

Breakfast of a cappucino
Lunch of homemade lentil soup (one day I had two soups), one day I had soup and then some Ryvita with hummous
Regular dinner
No alcohol Sunday - Thursday
generally nothing after dinner but last night I had a few squares of chocolate

On the weekends I have wine on Friday and Saturday night but eat a normal lunch and dinner, maybe one take out.

Going to keep going because giving up certainly isn't going to help :(

I would definitely log for a week or 2. You may be eating at maintenence and not realise.

@LostSleep , oh no - hope you're on the mend. I know we all want to lose weight, but not like that. Hope you're all ok. I work in a surgery and last week there were 7 office staff off with it. It's definitely doing the rounds.
@IHeartGeneHunt , that's brilliant ! Well done. You must be noticing so many benefits ( least of all the ability to go on the swings !!).

Well, I got my new scales last week. I was 13st 8 which meant I'd put 2lb on - wasn't sure how, but took it on the chins.
Yesterday I was 13st 3 - and I felt it. My tummy has gone down. I've not been drinking ( as much) and I've exercised.
Today, thought I'd check to post here. I'm 13st 9.😩.
Don't know where I'm up to. I'm going to a slimming club a week tomorrow. I don't like them but at least the weigh - ins are consistent.
I'm still motivated.

Well done on your losses everyone and for thise that didn't I'm with you!

I've stood on the scales over and over and they read anything between 10st 6 and 10st 9. Again I can't possibly have put weight on so to speak, I know exactly what I'm consuming and I'm not cheating myself- I've done it before very very successfully. I'm going to guess I'm weighing heavy today. I'm going to record myself as a 1lb gain but in reality doubt I have.

Arrgh, so frustrating and slow!

I have never owned scales - I've 'dieted' all my life, but only ever gone as to how I feel. I wanted to ask this question actually to everyone,

How do you feel when you look in the mirror? If I'm honest, I actually like the way I look - my sisters are amazed at my confidence ( they think I look good, too - and are perturbed that I worry about the number on the scales - when I deign to go to slimming clubs)
I actually like what I see - I'm fit, active - I wonder sometimes why I bother?

@Amdone123 are you actually 'classed' as overweight? I'm not, I'm in the middle of my BMI. However I'm only happy and Confident at a stone under my current weight which brings me down to bottom end bmi. I can't tell you why because I kind if know I look OK as I am, but I 'feel" at my best at that weight. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I am very aware of dismorphia and don't want to fall down that trap.

Well done everyone, hope you all had a good weekend. Forgot to check in on Friday but FINALLY I have lost another lb after 3 weeks of no loss. 10st 4 (down from 10st 10 at the start of Jan). I was much stricter with logging calories in MFP this week and it clearly makes a difference than when I just guess/wing it.

@Amdone123 how was the slimming club? In response to your question, I’m not unhappy when I look in the mirror and like @FlutterbButterfly I am a healthy BMI, but I am a stone heavier than before I had my children and when I am in summer clothes I feel self conscious. My goal isn’t to get back to where I was weight wise pre-kids, I’m older now and my body has been through 3 pregnancies, but I just want to loose enough to be able to throw on shorts and a t-shirt on this summer and feel comfortable.

@LostSleep hope you’re feeling better!
