I can't put it off much longer, I am getting very large and uncomfortable. My eating has become very out of control.

I need to shift around 4 stone, not sure exactly as I am to scared to get on the scales.

Anyone want to join me for a big new start and weigh in on Sunday 1st January?

Yes me. I need to lose a stone

Sleepwhatsthazzz · 29/12/2022 13:50

Yes me!! Need to lose about 3-4 stone. Have stopped weighing myself, so could even be 5! I have went up 2 clothes sizes last year. I have a wedding abroad in the summer, so my aim is to be at least 2 stone lighter for it

theskyisbluernow · 29/12/2022 14:00

Yes me. 2 stone would be ideal, 1.5 would probably be OK. I need motivation!

WinterFoxes · 29/12/2022 14:03

I'm up for it. I need to lose 2 stone at least. 2.5 would be great but unrealistic as that last 1/2 stone demands the kind of willpower I don't have. I just want to be well within my BMI and able to wear clothes I like rather than clothes I can fit into.

HimiJendrix · 29/12/2022 14:16

I have a wardrobe full of lovely clothes which do not fit me. I am very limited with clothes that fit right now. It makes me very sad.

Me neither. I'm going to be making a massive effort on Sunday. I can't carry on stuffing my face. I need to take responsibility.

Can I join? I’ve put about 2 stone on and would ideally like to drop 2.5 over the next year. Don’t want to do anything drastic other than healthier eating and continue excercise!

TheTempest · 29/12/2022 14:36

Yes me please! I have a terrifying amount to lose, maybe 8 stone 😬 I just can’t seem to shift it. I’ve had a bad year with health stuff and it feels like an impossible mountain to climb 😞

sazzt · 29/12/2022 15:49

Yes! I have 2-3 stone of baby weight to lose. Jan 1st start for me and want to be back in more of my normal clothes for spring!

marshmallowmarzipan · 29/12/2022 15:59

So weigh in on Sunday, yes?

Yes me although I have no scales 😁

Rocklobstershell · 29/12/2022 16:10

Yes please - don’t know exactly how much I weigh atm but it was heading up past 15 stone a month ago. I’d like to get back to my pre pregnancy 2019 weight of 12 stone. Hope to do it over the year if possible.

I have scales but I'm going to check that the battery works.

Yes, my bmi is 29, almost in the obese category. So shocked. I need to get in to the normal category.
I know some people knock bmi but I'm not big boned or muscly. If I'm almost in the obese category it's because of flab.
I knew I had got bigger but to be so far 8n to the overweight band that the n3xt station is obese, im shocked.

Going for a walk now.
I really was in denial. I had weighed myself before Xmas and concluded "this scales has to be out of kilter" so I ordered another, a digital scales. I was the same weight!
I have the opposite of an eating disorder. I always think I'm fine. I feel 5lbs overweight even when I am 25 lbs overweight.

penguinstarcloud · 29/12/2022 16:15

Yes - need to lose weight from pregnancy this year. Would like to fit comfortably into my old jeans, maybe even the next size down!

TheTurn0fTheScrew · 29/12/2022 16:18

Me. On a nano-break at work now but bookmarking for Sunday! 2st loss desperately needed, 3 would be even better.

Battlecat98 · 29/12/2022 16:19

Me please. I had started to loose weight before Christmas on a combination of 5:2 16:8 sadly I think I have put it all back on and a bit extra for good measure.
I just feel so lethargic it's horrible.

What plans do others have?

Haveagentlechristmas · 29/12/2022 16:21

Yes. I need to loose about 1 and a half stone. I'm in.

Grabbing2023ByTheBalls · 29/12/2022 16:21

Me, please!

I've got 20lb to lose in total. Going on holiday at the beginning of April so would like as much off as possible by then Smile I really need this to keep me accountable.

marshmallowmarzipan · 29/12/2022 16:22

For me I think I’ll calorie count. I need to be able to treat myself and not feel deprived. My OH is very sport and weighs 110kg so can basically eat what he wants and I end up eating portions far too big for my 5ft4 frame. I lost quite a lot of weight over lockdown and probs put most of it back on since being in a relationship (18 months). I do tend to exercise 2-3 times a week so might try and up my steps as well

maddy68 · 29/12/2022 16:24

Me too. I think I'm going to low carb. I drink too much as well. I have a very busy social life so akai doing dry January which will help with calories. I live in a country where everyone eats and drinks out together most days so I am eating double the calories I would if I ate at home.
So finding the balance between maintaining my fun lifestyle and cutting down drink and food is the challenge for me
