I can't put it off much longer, I am getting very large and uncomfortable. My eating has become very out of control.

I need to shift around 4 stone, not sure exactly as I am to scared to get on the scales.

Anyone want to join me for a big new start and weigh in on Sunday 1st January?

Me too pls have at least 2 st to lose prob 3. I'm going to do intermittent fasting 14:10 cut crap, cut binge eating and sneakily eating when no one's around.
Only wish it came off as quick as it goes on!😂

Yes me please! I have a terrifying amount to lose, maybe 8 stone 😬 I just can’t seem to shift it. I’ve had a bad year with health stuff and it feels like an impossible mountain to climb 😞

I am not far behind you with how much it have to lose. I'm hoping this thread will help a bit.

I need to lose 2 stone op so can I join please, but not until after the first week of Jan as have couple of birthdays coming up. I have lots of nice clothes sat collecting dust that I can't wear as well and it's very depressing, I spent all last summer, including my summer holiday, feeling like a whale. I have lost weight several times in the past with calorie counting/walking I plan to do that again. This is the heaviest I've ever been though.

I need to join! I keep getting to day 3 and then giving up so hopefully this will motivate me to keep going. Not sure how much I weigh but will get in the scales on the 1st. Think I will need to lose about 2.5 stone

Joining too. I've slacked since October and have piled the weight on so as of 1st Jan I'm back to daily walks and healthy eating. Really looking forward to it actually

Yes me. I wish I was as fat now as I was years ago when I thought I was fat!

I've 4 stone to lose minimum. Too scared to weigh. I'm exhausted, nothing fits and I've joint pain.

I need to take responsibility for myself.

I need to do this although I already know I won’t be starting until 3rd Jan as that’s when I’m back at work and we have plans the other days.
Up until I had my 2nd dc and reached my mid 30’s I could eat whatever I wanted and stay slim, but over the last few years and especially lockdown I have been gradually adding on the lbs and now I’m a couple of stone over what I should be really, and I’m only 5ft 2. I haven’t been able to get rid of the mindset that I can eat whatever I want and I really need to work on that.
DH and I are going away for a week in Feb and I would like to have made a good start on losing by then (ready to add it back on while we’re away 😬)

I’d really like to join in too. I keep trying to get started but get sidetracked - always found weight watchers good as I need accountability but my local group has stopped meeting.
I have ideally 4 stone to lose but will aim for at least 2 by summer as I don’t want to be fat, hot and sweaty again this summer.

To be honest I'm actually looking forward to it. I feel so out of control at the moment as all I do is scoff junk pretty much all day long.

Not looking forward to the scales on Sunday but it is what it is.

Can i join please. Need to lose about 2.5 stone of baby weight (the baby is 3 BTW which shows just how well its been going).

Interested to understand different people's approach to weight loss - slimming world/calorie counting/16:8 etc

My weight has crept up massively. I haven’t weighed myself for months but I’m about to go up yet another dress size, and that will be the 3rd one since I got married.

I’m in for the big weigh in on 1st Jan, but would really appreciate hearing what works for people I’m terms of weight loss… I’m a complete dieting novice. All I know is last time I did Dry January (years ago) I didn’t lose a single bloody pound!

Hi, I'm in please. I've just joined the app so I can join this group chat. I lost 2 stone last year on MFP calorie counting, slowly as I don't want to restrict myself of any foods I like. But this month being December I've been overindulging and have gained 7lbs. I'll be starting MFP again trying to maintain my daily calories and lose 1.5lbs a week hopefully. I plan to workout more at home on my bike and increase my walking step count. I'm determined to re-lose that 7lbs I out on and lose another 2 stone.

Thanks! My gut feel is calorie counting is the best way to go so good to hear others will follow that too.

I will have a look at My Fitness Pal.

So, how much protein a day is high protein?

Im in. I’ve got at least a stone of winter padding to shed before a holiday in May. Need some motivation to get started after way too much food and drink this Christmas!

Me too!! I have about 2 stone extra but would be happy to loose 1. I have been trying for a year and could not loose it. I dread stepping on a scale as I know I have already gained over the holidays. I do not eat so much during the day, but snacking and drinking in the evening is killing me. 😔
