One month body blitz starting tomorrow

ONO7 · 19/06/2022 11:01

Anyone care to join me?

I'm starting tomorrow, giving myself a month, to try and sort myself out. One month doesn't sound too daunting!

I have at least two stone to lose, which will obviously take time, I'm not expecting a miracle in one month.

Also, the fatter I get the more I have let myself go so I intend to start using all the beauty products currently gathering dust, and take more care of my appearance.

I know that with a bit of effort, I can make positive visible changes. I really don't like what I see in the mirror right now.

I will post my starting weight in the morning and will make Monday my weekly weigh day.

@FloraGreysteel Wow, well done! Well done everyone else too.

I cracked and had some snacks last night. Last Monday I was 11.11 Today not great, 11.9! But yesterday I was 11.7 so hopefully if I keep going the scales will move in the right direction. Giving up wine for a month as of today.

mamatoTails · 27/06/2022 07:48

Well done everyone!
This week has gone really fast, I've just weighed and lost 4lb which I'm really pleased about!

The weekend was tricky but going to try really hard again this week!

Kids now off school here for the long summer so it's not going to be as easy!

gingercat02 · 27/06/2022 08:02

Well a good week obviously balanced out a bad weekend.

75.5kg this morning so 1.1kg off. Pleased with that after a full on weekend and not nearly enough activity.

Have only skimmed the thread but looks like a good start all round 👏🙌
Will have a proper read later

Gryffindoratheart · 27/06/2022 08:18

Morning all,

Weighing in at 12 stone 8.4 this morning.

That's a loss of -4.2 pounds for this week!!! Very happy with that.

Hoping to get out of the 12 stone category and into the 11s by then end of July.

Well done everyone on the losses and the maintains

bailarbailar · 27/06/2022 08:48

Morning all! Some great losses on the thread. I normally weigh Tuesdays but did weigh today and have lost a kilo, so pleased with that

Gufo · 27/06/2022 08:54

Morning blitzers, just a pound off for me but am happy with that - I want to lose slowly to make it sustainable, and it's also TOTM.

So that's gone from 11.6 to 11.5 (and a total of 11 lbs lost since 1 May when I started to eat less and move more!).

I've also been trying to do a beauty thing daily so that's making me feel a lot better about myself.

Hedonism · 27/06/2022 09:26

Wow, some brilliant starts, well done 🥳

I was 64kg, as of this morning I am 63.8kg... at least it's a loss! I am a bit disappointed though, my weekend included a 12k run and a 1 mile swim so I clearly need to address my eating habits more firmly.

I've had yoghurt and stewed fruit for breakfast, and I have made a big kale salad for my lunches for the next few days. I'll try to cut down on the carbs with my evening meals too (will stop letting DH dish up!!).

Here's to a good week everyone.

@ZubinB thanks! I was very surprised myself. It's a set electronic scales from Amazon that cost about £30, and an app called Feelfit.

When I was lifting, I compared the results I get from them to the results I got from a body scan at a private clinic and they are actually fairly close.

Hedonism · 27/06/2022 12:54

This is getting serious, I've just been onto Facebook and snoozed all of my cooking and baking groups 🤣🙈

isthatwhatyoureallywanted · 27/06/2022 18:58

I crashed and burned last week as I had a hideous week at work. I then had a really social weekend. The end result is that I gained 2lb so am now back at 11st6, which is exactly where I was at the beginning of the year having gained and lost the same few pounds on repeat.
I hope to have a better week this week! To be honest, that can't be hard as I did no exercise last week and only hit 10,000 steps once. I did less than 4000 steps on two days? And I drank alcohol on 4 days whereas it's only once a week.
Today I am already at 9500 steps and am in my gym kit ready to go to the gym as soon as DH gets home from work. And if he's not home in the next hour, I'll get on the cross trainer.
Food wise, today I had pulled pork (no burger) and salad followed by a banana for lunch and had roast chicken and veg (no potatoes or anything like that) with the DC a short while ago. My snacks this afternoon were an apple and 4x ryvita thins. In hungry caterpillar mode straight after work I ate about an inch of baguette. I also had a mini flapjack which is doubly crap of me as it's not only massively calorific but is a sugar overloads.
One cup of coffee, two of tea and gallons of water.

Does anyone weigh themselves every day? I do but wondering if I should stop because it's so disheartening when there's no change.

I do, as helps me keep on track. It sometimes stays the same or goes up a tiny bit but overall it snows a downward trend and keeps me going!

Eviebeans · 28/06/2022 11:23

I weigh myself every morning - not expecting it to show a big difference every day, but if its up then I am more mindful about what I eat that day

I do, but only to keep myself on track. Happy so long as the numbers aren't going up!!

FlickyCrumble · 28/06/2022 14:50

So despite my initial reservations about posting and then me jinxing my weight loss I have lost 6.4lbs this week. I can’t believe the difference already just in my clothes. Hoping for a good week this week and a loss of good 3lbs.

ihave much more to lose than others on this thread but I’m focusing on 1 stone by mid August. Just another 8 to go!

whatisheupto · 28/06/2022 15:19

Hi just checking in. I'm still going, proving to myself that even though I might be 'overall' pretty good, it's those little bits that really make the difference. Whether that's a little too many calories in a day or not enough excercise - you really need to be spot on every day to really make the difference! But I am sticking to it more than anything I have stuck to in a loooooong time so I'm proud of myself. Definitely keeping going. The thought of going public this summer in a swimsuit is spurring me on.
Just had a teeny square of dark chocolate as have been ultra good today otherwise. But blimey the calories hardly make it worthwhile!! Same with nuts - I know they're healthy but 200 calories for 30 grams. Gonna stay away from them for a while!! Not sure I'm going to hit 82 point something on Monday next week which was my goal.... but if I get to low/mid 83's I'll be happy enough. @FlickyCrumble well done losing 6.4 lbs in a week!! that is incredible!!

isthatwhatyoureallywanted · 28/06/2022 21:15

That's brilliant progress, Flicky!
I feel like I've had a good day but, now that I'm breaking it down, it is more that it hasn't been a bad day if that makes sense
Breakfast - nothing aa fasting
Lunch - grilled fish with veg and two new potatoes
Supper - chicken pesto pasta as I had made far too much for the DC
Snacks - 6 ryvita thins, apple, cherries, half a digestive, couple of slices of pineapple, some grated cheese
Exercise - only done 5000 steps so am about to go on the cross trainer for an hour

Gufo · 29/06/2022 07:16

I need to make more of an effort to exercise. I'm losing weight slowly but steadily by eating much better, but I know I should move more to feel better about myself.

Yesterday I did 6500 steps, a 10 min yoga with adriene and a 10 min weights youtube video. Aim for today is to do more than that!

I'm still keeping up with the one body beautifying/maintenance, and wearing Nice Clothes.

whatisheupto · 29/06/2022 16:57

How is everyone going? I'm managing well with my eating thank goodness. Today was only the 2nd day I've done a decent amount of exercise. My weight loss hasn't been as fast as I hoped!! So am going to keep the excercise up. It can be hard to fit it in though!

bailarbailar · 29/06/2022 19:17

I'm still doing ok on the food front and trying to walk more each day. I took my measurements though and the 2kg I've lost so far only seem to have gone from my boobs Angry which is unfortunate. Was hoping the belly fat would be the first to go (has been in the past for me)

Eviebeans · 29/06/2022 19:43

I'm pleased with how I'm doing food wise so far but not with exercise- making efforts to do more walking tho. Surprised that I've managed to resist cake and chocolate so far.
Was really tempted by my grandson's haribos today but didn't steal any.
Trying to be busy doing other stuff.

gingercat02 · 29/06/2022 20:34

I'm really trying to up my activity. Cycled to work yesterday, walked at lunchtime Monday and today and did Pilates tonight. That's my biggest issue (lazy). Need some motivation to keep going 🚶‍♀️🏊‍♀️ 🧘‍♀️

isthatwhatyoureallywanted · 29/06/2022 22:11

I'm another who needs to stop being so lazy/distracted by my phone. I sat down to do a five minute admin task using my phone at least half an hour ago and have been scrolling since then.
A good food day and I have at least done 10000+ steps even if I never really got my heart rate up.

Gryffindoratheart · 29/06/2022 23:02

Last couple of days have been okay, mostly keeping between 8-10k steps. Remaining under my cals so far this week - hoping for another loss on Monday

@ONO7 how are you getting on?
