One month body blitz starting tomorrow

ONO7 · 19/06/2022 11:01

Anyone care to join me?

I'm starting tomorrow, giving myself a month, to try and sort myself out. One month doesn't sound too daunting!

I have at least two stone to lose, which will obviously take time, I'm not expecting a miracle in one month.

Also, the fatter I get the more I have let myself go so I intend to start using all the beauty products currently gathering dust, and take more care of my appearance.

I know that with a bit of effort, I can make positive visible changes. I really don't like what I see in the mirror right now.

I will post my starting weight in the morning and will make Monday my weekly weigh day.

Over 13k steps done, under my calorie goal - overall a good day today!

@twordle I find keeping busy helps, or at least keeping my hands busy lol and writing down everything that I eat helps to keep me accountable too. Good luck!!

CredibilityProblem · 24/06/2022 22:48

I've had a good week for avoiding snacks (except for apples), laying off the carbs and generally eating mindfully. This weekend I'm away for a mini-break and although I'm not going to scoff down slightly disappointing cakes willy nilly, I am going to eat some less worthy stuff when I think it's worth the calories.

I went out to a restaurant and ordered grilled sea bream and a massive salad which came with a load of really nice chips and I scarfed the lot and regret nothing.

Gufo · 25/06/2022 09:17

Yesterday was a good day (exercise, water, calories all on track) so you can imagine my fury when the scales hadn't shifted this morning Grin . I know that isn't how it works, but still...

SummerDays95 · 25/06/2022 10:33

I haven't posted on here much but have been reading this thread to keep me on track and it's working! Down to my first mini goal of 145 pounds, which is the lightest I've been since having DD2! Stuck to about 1400 calories a day, and haven't actually felt that hungry (being busy at work helps, as well as being lower on food as we're coming up to payday!) I like weighing myself every day as I can immediately see a problem if I've gained a little and I then want to eat less that day, so I'm keeping on track that way. Will try on some trousers later and see how far off I am fitting them!

Hi just caught up with this thread…brilliant motivation! I’m currently 10st 4 and want to get below 9st 6 to get back into healthy BMI (shortie!). I’m late 40s and so much more difficult to lose any weight now.
I am counting calories on MFP - the only thing that works for me and trying to maintain a carbs/fat/protein balance of 50/30/20. I’m also doing C25K - just finished week 2 and I’ve invested in some PT sessions for strength training.
Previous experience tells me that while exercise is obviously important keeping the food intake under control is the key!
Good luck everyone!

mamatoTails · 25/06/2022 20:59

Well done all!
Still here, doing well. Looking forward to weighing on Monday.

Eviebeans · 26/06/2022 05:31

Hi everyone
Still being careful about what I eat. Trying to increase the number of steps each day. I don't feel as if I've lost weight, but I do feel better if that makes any sense. Have been doing little self care things every day like moisturising, shaving legs, wearing make up, perfume etc
Got some purple shampoo and conditioner yesterday tone hair down. Never used it before so see how that goes.

whatisheupto · 26/06/2022 09:17

Argh had a crap night last night. Did so well all day. Fasted til 1pm, ate salad and fish. Then had a stressful evening and instead of going to bed I stayed up late watching Glasto and eating crap. I literally cannot watch TV in the evening any more as I can't seem to stop myself finding something to eat. If I go to bed early I'm fine!
Anyway never mind, onwards and upwards. I will do some exercise today to try and compensate a bit!

gingercat02 · 26/06/2022 09:24

Well it's not been a great weekend!

Planned night off on Friday. Only went 100cals over but ate and drank all my exercise calories too

Unexpectedly out for dinner and drinks last night so again a bit over and exercise calories gone too.

Not expecting the scales to be kind tomorrow. Overall deficit 1100 calories for the week. Need 3500 for 1 pound weight loss 😭

bailarbailar · 26/06/2022 12:44

Hi all, hope everyone is having a great weekend. Mine hasn't gone too badly - got over 10K steps today abs yesterday and not eaten above my calories (as long as I do t start snacking today!).
I think I have less temptation to snack at the weekend as my snacking is definitely linked to work stress but equally healthy eating tends to go out the window at weekends as I see it as 'reward' or 'treats' for the hard week!
My weigh day is Tuesday so hoping for a loss

MadMadMadamMim · 26/06/2022 14:04

I've avoided the thread all week as I've been hopeless. Had forgotten we had folks for the weekend and had various events on. People gave me a couple of boxes of chocolates as gifts (which I have eaten a fair percentage of).

Lunch out yesterday at American style diner, so burger/chips/large dessert! Ended up with 'brunch' out today and DD is planning a roast dinner this evening when she gets home.

I'm determined to do better next week. Starting tomorrow. 🤐

Gryffindoratheart · 26/06/2022 19:11

This weekend hasn't been too bad, been under my calories both days.

Saturday I only managed just over 5k steps, today well over 10k steps.

Looking forward to weigh in tomorrow!!

Good luck all

mner1896 · 26/06/2022 19:50

I'm a week late but hope you don't mind if I join. Had two good weeks with lots of walking but this past week I haven't been so active so hoping to get back to it tomorrow. I managed to get down to 9st 7lbs a few months ago but it's slowly been piling back on. Currently at 10st and wanting to lose that 7lbs again and a little bit more. Doing lots of walking and trying to be mindful of what I'm eating.

Brunilde · 26/06/2022 21:36

Hi all.

Another one who has fallen off the wagon. Was so good the first half of the week but me and the kids have been ill and DH away so been a crappy weekend and have been comfort eating as I feel so crappy. Sticking with it and will weigh in tomorrow ready for a new week!

A little disappointed in myself but if I found it easy I wouldn't be fat!

CredibilityProblem · 26/06/2022 21:51

Cooking a belated supper. Blimey, eighty grams of pasta isn't a lot is it?

WheelofLife · 26/06/2022 21:58

Not been the best week but I have lost half a kilo which is a start :)

ConfusedByDesign · 26/06/2022 22:47

I had a weekend away and fell off the wagon too! This is always my problem - I go off plan then find it hard to get back on!
Not this time though. Back to it tomorrow. And dh is joining me too as he's put on a few lbs as well.

Eviebeans · 27/06/2022 05:19

Morning everyone. Weighed in this morning at 10 stone 12, which is 2 pounds down from last week very pleased that there has been a loss but slightly disappointed that it wasn't more. Going to have a good think about how to up my game for this week.
Good luck everyone.

Morning everyone.

Amazing losses already, well done. I have just weighed and have lost 2.5lb since Monday but did start the sat before and since then have lost 6 so I'm pretty happy.

It did go to pot towards the end of the week so just goes to show don't give up if you go a little off track.

DH is back today so hopefully I will have a little more time to do some self care. I need it after this week.

Nothingoriginalhere · 27/06/2022 06:36

Monday weigh in and I’ve lost 1/2 lb!
pretty rubbish but have been out and ran 1 mile this morning, started a fast ( first in a long time) last night and have made a salad to take to my first day in my new job today!
plan is water, water and more water….
also giving up alcohol for a month, meal planning and fasting. Hopefully next Monday weigh in will be better.

HoneyBeeGood · 27/06/2022 06:43

Morning everyone, I've lost 1.75lbs so reasonably happy with that. I'm going away tomorrow for a week and there will be a few meals out and my birthday to contend with so hoping to maintain for the next week - we shall see!

ZubinB · 27/06/2022 07:37

morning everyone! congrats to this who have managed a loss.
I was 11st 1 last Monday, just weighed in at 10st 11. So a 4lb loss which I am happy with! That's with not much exercise either (time poor) but have been low calorie all week (1,200 average) and sticking to a 12pm to 7pm eating window. No wine at all!
Here's to another week!
Keep going everyone! x

amazing weight loss too. well done 👍

anybloodyname · 27/06/2022 07:45

Well done everyone ! Well done on the losses , on the self care , on the new job and the upcoming break and birthday !

I've stayed the same , which wasn't a big surprise but hoping for a better week coming

I've defuzzed, drank more water , been swimming twice and done more skin care so that's a start
