Louise Parker method anyone? I know it's a bit old fashioned now ..

But I've decided to give it a go

The food is the sort of stuff I like to eat although I'll have to make some substitutes as I'm a vegetarian. But I love Bircher, porridge, all her snacks and salads etc

I'm starting tomorrow and wondered if anyone had some advice regarding the method or stories

Thanks!

@Flopisfatteningbingforchristmas
I am sorry you are struggeling with all the pillars and i can totally fell you. In her 6 weeks book she divides them so that you tackle 1 thing per week. Maybe you can do it like that and focus on the really important things first: steps, exercice, meals. You will make it, im sure!

My WE was....near the circle but not in it at all. had some celebration meals, some meals on the method. But most important, i really struggle with my all-or-nothing mentality. I dont see any change on my body or weight despite all the effort the last 2 weeks and daily 12k steps. Im frustrated because it's challenging to get it all done and prepped every day and i feel as if my body doesnt want to lose at least one pound :(
I try to move on with LPM anyway.

I hope you are doing better! Have a nice start into the new week!

For anyone struggling with all the pillars, the good news is that I lost 4lb last week despite my squalid house, stressful job, one kid off sick from school and the other crying over SATS. It can be done!

I was a bit disappointed with 4lb off in week one but I’m delighted with 4lb off in week two. I must keep the faith when losses inevitably slow down this week - the food is nice, I’m not hungry, I can do this!

Sparker201 · 09/05/2022 09:52

That's really encouraging @Hobbes8 - well done. I took a couple of small steps outside the circle this week, but got straight back in which is a major breakthrough for me and my on/off the wagon mentality. I still managed to lose 3lbs this week, so am pleased - onward for the week ahead, I am feeling really positive and am planning my meals and thinking ahead about managing social occasions etc. Good luck to everyone with their losses.

@Hobbes8 oh well done! You're doing so well! You absolutely can do it

Well, it's my week 6 weigh in so that's round one DONE! And I'm pleased I've lost 3 lbs this week.

Losses to date..

Week 1 - 7 lbs

Week 2 - 3 lbs

Week 3 - 2 lbs

Week 4 - 2 lbs

Week 5 - 1 lb

Week 6 - 3 lbs

Total lost in 6 weeks on plan ... 18 lbs

I don't think that's too bad at all. I'd hoped for 21 lbs but I knew that was very ambitious.

I'm going to do another 6 weeks and hope for another stone off.

Do you think we need a new thread?

Well done @HardRockOwl thats amazing and amazing loss for week 6!

Yes please to a new thread - I need my tribe.

ElvenDreamer · 09/05/2022 12:07

Well done @HardRockOwl! And yes please to new thread from me aswell, I think even when we all start moving to lifestyle phase it will be useful to check in as I think that may be the hard bit to get the perfect balance on initially.
Currently having a smoked salmon, cucumber cottage cheese and avocado thing for my lunch, very tasty but very delicate, I'm going to be starving by snack time so suspect it may be a fairly robust snack I need. I am finding I get hungry honestly, then feel hangry and give up in the evenings so need to look carefully at it all. I'm quite tall so not sure if that might make a difference...or if I'm clutching at straws here!

Hobbes8 · 09/05/2022 12:39

@ElvenDreamer i presume if you’re tall you’re entitled to a few more calories surely? I’m only 5’4” so if there’s any reference to this in the books I’ve missed it. Maybe try adding an extra snack and see how you go?
