would anyone like to join me. I am going to start on Monday.

I am not joining any clubs but will be loosely following WW.

Need to cut out the alcohol, crisps, cheese and chocolate (not totally) .

I would love some company. Will try to log on everyday to keep up with anyone who joins me but I do work full time so please dont be cross if I dont reply quickly!!!

I am really down right now about the way I look and would love to share my joys/lows with others - speak soon x

Can i join you aswell?

Ive been lurking in the weight loss posts for some time now and saw this post and thought it was time to take the plunge.

I have about 4 to lose. Stopped going to SW few months back so it could be more.

Dont know what plan as such to follow may stick loosely to SW as veggie but will decide by Monday. Started listening to Paul Mckenna last night and it has definitely helped both my general mood and the evening munchies once LO is in bed.

Lulu - now how you feel, ive hit rock bottom post xmas as i know only about 2% of my wardrobe actually fits me if im honest.

I have my first goal to aim for: a hot date with Jared Leto in one months time! well im going to see his band in a month so it would be good if i could look forward to a night out as opposed to worrying about whether i have anything to wear that either fits or covers my fat belly!

Sarah x

(sorry for the long post - does typing burn calories?)

Hi can I join you all too?
Not sure how much I need to loose, around 3 stone I guess - will take the plunge, stop avoiding the bathroom scales and weigh myself tomorrow.

I have a 5.5 month old who does not believe in sleep - so have been using food to keep me going during the day - especially sweet stuff .

I think I might have a look at Paul Mckenna too.

Looking forward to getting to know you

Well its Monday morning and not doing that well had a McDonald's breakfast following my last night of alcohol but I am not despairing and will not beat myself up about it and will eat very very healthily for the rest of the day.

I am going to get out all my WW stuff tonight and try and write a menu for the week.

Do let me know how you are all doing. UC how was your weigh in?

I need to start some exercise too this week and planning to get out my rebounder tonight and buy a pedometer to try and get to the recommended 10,000 steps a day (ha ha ha) I live in hope.

Look forward to getting to know you all and good luck

lulu,

Ive made an awful start, didnt have time for breakfast & had 2 biscuits at coffee time at work. Im now home & for some reason decided to eat some of the toblerone thats in the fridge

why do i do this to myself!!!

I can see you and calzone both mention doing menuplans for the week - does this work & do you stick to it & do you plan all your meals?

Hiya Imgens
I do find that if I write out what I am going to eat for the week I stick to it more as if you know what you are going to have in the evening when you get in from work you dont have to start working out whether it falls within your points/calories etc.

Calzone

Let me know how you go on the Special K diet I have often thought of doing that one myself

OK...am stocked up with Special K now as it was on offer at Morrisons and was only £1.25 instead of £2.59!!

This week for dinner we are having

wild mushroom risotto (with half fat creme fraiche)

Lentil soup

Vegetable curry

Salad Nicoise

Chicken with tomatoes and creme fraiche with potatoes and vegetables.

(I know it looks like we are veggie-ish but we arent...just cutting down on meat. And saving money!)

I think it does help to do a menu plan so you have something to look forward to and it means less picking if you can all eat the same.

I'm in. I've got loads to lose and I need to cut out on the same as you, Lulu.
Last time I lost a lot of weight I did diet in the week and had a few treats at the weekend. I'm trying not do go too mad on "diet" meals because I find I can't stick to it. So I'm watching portion control and bulking up with veg.
We're going to a ball in Feb and dh is buying me a new dress if i lose at least a stone by then, so that's my incentive and so far it's working - I only started Friday though.
Good luck everyone.

oh calzone im veggie and drooling!

I tried to make the best of today & took dd out for a walk.

We've just had veggie spag bog & I actually stopped when i felt full so all is not lost.

DH is working late tonight so if i can get off here for long enough im going to try and do a menuplan for the week.

I know im going to find it difficult as im veggie & DH & DD cant stand vegetables!

Nimnom its nice to here your dh is supporting you - have you got a specific dress in mind or do you have the shopping trip to look forward to aswell?

Hi Lulu thanks for asking
Well, Ive been walking more, bike riding and cutting down on choc - until sunday.............. angry with myself, but there you go.

But my weigh in this morning was a 1lb loss so at least am on my way!! only another 27 to go ...

Who else's weigh-in is going to be a monday, so we can have a roll call ?

Hi all,
Weighed myself today and I need to loose 3 stone, but would be really happy if I lost 2 and 1/2.
Did really well for me today, as day started at 4.30 am with LO so was really tired but did just manage to stay clear of the choccies / trash and had some veg with hummus as a snack
What may have helped me stay clear of all the bad stuff is there is none in the house but that is 'cos I ate it at the weekend !
Calzone what a fab menu - I drool at the thought of mushroom risotto - DH does not like mushrooms so we never get any.
Lulu hope the rest of your day went better, don't punish yourself for a blip - like your idea of a pedometer, I think I will hunt out one too. I hate gyms and most forms of exercise, but at the moment am managing to walk quite a bit just so DS will sleep in the pram.
Imgens - fantastic about stopping part way throught the spag bol, I have not had time to read the book yet, but have skimmed the 4 rules bit - and I know that that rule is the one that I will have the most problem with. I have made an effort to only eat when I am hungry today.
Nimnon great about the dress! I agree it is easier to know you can have a few treats so you can look forward to them.
Hope everyone else is doing well

Need to lose about 3 stone want to lose at least 1.5. Am another veggie who loves cheese and choc and crisps and STOPPPPP!

Have 4mnth and currently BF am using it as an excuse to keep eating and so propably weigh about the same as I did 4.5 months ago (going to buy some scales tomorrow - busy day for me!).

Am already feeling hungry thinking about diets - does anyone else find the d word does this to them?

Oooh please can I join? I have two stone to loose, have no will power, can't face going back to ww again and paying five pounds a week to starve myself the day before WW and eat like a pig the day after WW.

I've had a terrible day food wise today attacking a box of roses I found, and helping myself to a whopping slice of Christmas Cake. But the secret to dieting is that tomorrow is another day.

So, please can I join your gang?

Monday is going to be my "weigh in" day. Although I do the tape measure thing rather than weigh myself. I need to drop two or ideally three dress sizes. I have been doing this a week and am really fed up already as dp is eating as normal.....

What is your inspiration not to eat all the sweet stuff? Bizarrely I listen to the pussy cat dolls

Report
UniversallyChallenged · 07/01/2008 22:01

Glad there are lots of us for the monday, will help me to focus at the weekend!!

My inspiration is to put a pic of my fat self on the cupboard - sometimes it helps, and sometimes it just happens to slip down the side where i cant see it
