Oo. Sparkly new thread!

MopaniTree · 19/02/2022 01:13

Hello just placemaking as received my first pen. Annoyingly it arrived when i was out so my oh took the delivery! He hasn't asked too much as yet so hoping he forgets as I wanted to keep it on the down low Grin

Sunshinedreaming2022 · 19/02/2022 06:27

Placemarking! Thank you @EmmaH2022 for the new thread.
Day 5 here and going well. Definitely not as hungry but I do still get hungry but what I’m guessing is normal hunger? Like before, I’d be fine then like a switch would flick and all of a sudden I’d be starving and then go on a binge, but now I’m just like ooo, tummy rumbled so clearly wants food but I can hold off for half hour whilst I prepare something.
Definitely the easiest diet I’ve every been on

Orangemoon77 · 19/02/2022 08:43

Hi, thanks for the new thread! @EmmaH2022

I’m on day 5. Had a bit of nausea, always 5 hours after jab and lasts for an hour. Can’t moan at that! Eating has been strange, I didn’t think it was working so wrote down when I ate… it was a shocker!!! I realised I haven’t snacked. Eating smaller meals. Even last night we had a takeaway curry, I had a small portion. Just jalfrezi and a bit of bread… normally I have tons! It’s working!

Hope you all have a great weekend, weekends are always the hardest so let’s see how we all get on 🤞

EmmaH2022 · 19/02/2022 10:02

Hello!

Sorry that was a very short thread intro as I was very tired though of course I didn't get to sleep till 4, argh. And I ate a bit of toast at 3. Oh dear.

Anyway, onwards...today I am taking it in the morning for the first time. I hope that goes okay.

Sunshine I'm sort of having your experience.

Orange I hope that goes soon.

Third dose done last night. I weigh every day (and then work out the average after a week) and currently I'm 1.9kg down from my starting weight. Pretty pleased with that.

Beginning to get a bit "bunged up" so I might take a senna tonight to help. Can't be doing with constipation 😅

Sunshinedreaming2022 · 19/02/2022 13:20

Carrying on from yesterday convo though, I’ve just bought this dress in a size 12 - I’m probably about 2 stone away from that but if I hang it up and look at it everyday hopefully it will keep me motivated. All about manifesting that smaller body.

I am absolutely dreading the constipation @scarlettoharasgreendress. I eat a high fibre diet anyway because I’m also on iron tablets for anemia so I feel like my poor digestive system is getting a double whammy. Drink lots and lots of water and hopefully you will be ok

sunshine lovely dress!

I have ordered this in a 12. Not much of a reduction but I had a JL voucher. I will also be needing a waist to wear this!

I haven’t read the first thread but as a “ veteran” in trying to lose weight , I do rate Ozempic better than Sax . That in case Sax doesn’t work that great for you 👍good luck

I thought they were the same?

Be interested to hear your thoughts on either. Are you still taking it?

@Sunshinedreaming2022 that dress is cute! Will look nice in summer with some chunky trainers, little cross over bag, size 12 bod…. You’ve got this!

Sunshinedreaming2022 · 19/02/2022 17:35

@EmmaH2022 that dress is lovely!

Thank you @Orangemoon77, dh made me try it on and it fits but is a bit (very) clingy over my belly and hips/bum, so I said my goal is to wear it for Mother’s Day in 5 weeks. From reading the Facebook group, 1stone should be possible, and then I’ll just by some Spanx lol

Sunshinedreaming2022 · 19/02/2022 17:38

@pompey38 in what way is ozempic better? Did you struggle with Saxenda then loose more when you changed? I thought the only difference was that’s it was weekly as opposed to daily.
I read that the makers of Saxenda also have a weekly job coming out soon called Wegovy - the details are on simpleonlinepharmacy.

Orangemoon77 · 19/02/2022 18:01

Amazing @Sunshinedreaming2022 you will easily be wearing it by Mother’s Day.

pompey38 · 19/02/2022 18:05

It worked better in the way that on Sax I lost very little, I started on 0.5 on Oz not 0.25 due to my experience with Sax , and things moved faster and better , also I liked that gact it’s weekly and not daily .Wegovy is Ozempic if I remember well just the American name , is it available in the UK now? as it wasn’t when I was on Oz

Sunshinedreaming2022 · 19/02/2022 18:40

Not yet, I think they said it should be available in April. I think if I get up to the full dose on sax then I might look to change over but at the moment I’m hoping to keep going on 0.6 for as long as possible to save some money. I’m only going to increase when I stop loosing weight

That's my plan too. Stick to the 0.6 for as long as it's effective at that dose. I read on FB that one guy had gone straight to 3mg and ended up projectile vomiting in Asda 😂 I mentioned to my OH that some folks stick to the low dose as long as possible and he said "sod that - crank it up!" I'm assuming it's a man thing 🙄

I'm on holiday as of today with my boys and my folks. We stopped halfway to Anglesey to have lunch and I ordered ham, eggs and chips. Ate 1/2 the ham dipped in the egg yolks and about six chips plus four pieces of cucumber. Since it's one of my favourite pub meals, I was gobsmacked. And pleased. I just didn't want to eat anymore. Not interested as soon as I'd had a few mouthfuls. Previously I'd have eaten it all, hungry or not, just because it was too delicious. But today I didn't care. I can't wrap my head around it 😂

ImSaxyAndIKnowIt · 19/02/2022 20:13

Evening everyone! I’m still doing well, trying to stick to under 1000 calories a day. Got peckish at lunch time but just had a small sandwich and a bag of skips! Tea was jacket potato cheese and beans with a big glass of water. I feel so positive, I’m still getting hungry but not starving and normally if I’m making tea and it’s going be half hour I’ll have a bag of crisps whilst I’m waiting Blush whereas now I’m just not bothered. I haven’t snacked at all which is totally unheard of for me. I can even see it in my bank balance, I’m a district nurse and I’m always calling the shop to get a drink, a bag of crisps, a hot chocolate etc, haven’t done that all week! I’m going stay on 0.6 for as long as possible I think

EmmaH2022 · 19/02/2022 20:21

Glad everyone is doing well.

I'm on 1.2 but won't go higher hopefully.

Continuing on clothes - do people mind that chat? I am trying to make an effort with my appearance generally as I think it might help with the frame of mind for weight loss. Pre lockdown I was clean and tidy but now I'm not sure if I'm tidy, though obviously I am clean 😂! I tend to brush my hair while not even looking in the mirror.

Left to myself, I don't actually like wearing print but when I bought a couple of printed tops, I got compliments. I wonder if it distracts from being fat? I literally just chose them as they were good cotton and well priced.

I am starting to understand why people wear pyjamas outdoors. Not the same pair, but just day time pairs for comfort!

I don’t mind fashion chat. There’s a few good style pages on Facebook which I follow, happy to share. Really positive, more about loving yourself and what you have rather than the skinny Instagram stuff.

JaneyJimplin · 19/02/2022 20:47

I got through 2 pens of saxenda. It definitely curbed my appetite but the price stopped me buying a third. Maybe I shouldve stayed at a lower dose to save money.

Where do you order yours?

BryanAdamsLeftAnkle · 19/02/2022 21:02

Can I join in please. I started saxenda 4 days ago. I am mind blown so far.

Porfre · 19/02/2022 21:07

Are you sure you're injecting Saxenda? Grin

No seriously, it's exciting having less appetite isn't it. I had an omelette and salad for dinner. I'd normally be desperate for something else after that.

@Porfre

Where are you getting this?
Many online pharmacies will do it , Lloyds, Asda, Boots.
