Just over 14 weeks until Christmas, lose a stone with me.

I have decided to try and sort myself out. I am fat, frumpy and so so fed up.

It is just over 14 weeks until Christmas, I am hoping to lose a stone by then. Surely I can manage to lose 1lb per week.

Anyone want to join me, I realise this is short notice!

Yep, I noticed that too. We can do this!! Going out for a family meal today so will start today and choose a healthier option, not a pudding fan anyway so won't have to cut that out. There is actually an old dusty spin bike in my shed, I might try a build up to going out there some time in the future Grin

yes please! I've put on a stone over the last couple of years, many of my clothes don't now fit, and it would be rather good to lose it ...

My main strategy is going to be going back to the office on Monday :) The kitchen cupboards are rather too tempting when I'm at home, whereas in the office I will take a healthy lunch and not eat more. In fact cutting out snacking is going to be my main change.

I was in a good exercise routine of an exercise video every day Monday-Friday and swimming on Sunday, but I need to do more walking as I'm getting very sedentary (back in the office will help with this too) and get back into my good routine :)

I'd like to join! I'm 40, 5ft2 and just weighed myself at 13.7.stone.

I have RA which means the additional weight isn't helping my joints, my skin is grey cos I don't eat well and I'm sluggish and tired. I need to do something and I'm sick of just talking about it with no action ever taken.
I've tried SW and WW before, they are fine but not sustainable, I know it should be move more, eat less, so I'm going to do that and see where it takes me by Christmas.

And def up my water intake, its shockingly bad.

Could I join, I'm hoping this will help me stay on track. I am currently 18st 10lb, I have been trying to lose weight recently and started at 19st 8.5lb in June, got to 18st 7lb and then a few pounds crept back on.

I need to find my motivation again and stick to it.

I'll join you too. I'm 11st 7. A stone would be great for me.

I'd like to eat healthier, be more organised for 3 meals a day and do a bit more walking (also hate exercise).

Since working from home I seem to walk nowhere and sit staring at a screen for 8 hours a day. Have no energy/motivation and that's been summer, very concerned about winter stodge. I'm just making some soup to help with healthier lunches this week.

The new me doesn't eat after 6pm. The evenings are usually terrible for me, consisting of tv and chocolate until bed time.

I will join. I keep starting and stopping healthy eating! I need some accountability.
I think I am about 10 stone 10. I’m 5 foot 4. Just into overweight but it’s all around my middle, so not the healthiest.
I would like to get to 10 stone and see how I feel about that.

Yes please! I weighed myself today and I’m disgusted at what it said 😭 So got my shopping in and no junk food at all, going to do 1600 calories a day as learnt from the pass I end up bingeing if less.

I’m just under 6ft and weight 108kg. I’d like to get down to 100kg by Christmas and 95kg by next summer.

So in stone that’s currently 17st. 15st10 by Christmas. 14st13 by next summer. I’ll be very happy with 16st by Christmas though.

My biggest worry is losing weight too fast and ending up with baggy skin. And I don’t want to lose any more than that overall because I don’t think I would keep it off, and am happy as a larger build. Plus I have a wardrobe full of clothes that I love.

I would love to join too please! Been losing weight since January, it was all going reasonably ok (not speedily, but ok!) until the school holidays Confused now trying to get back on track and lose the last 1.5 stone I need to.

I may even buy a Christmas countdown journal to motivate myself. Like my DC I love a reward sticker Grin

I'm 10 stone 10, and 5'6". This is big for me - I put on a stone over Lockdown and haven't been able to shift it.

I have been losing weight since the 20th of April this year and am 38lbs down🥰🥰 im 5 ft 7.5 lol I now weigh 11st 10lbs (start weight 14st 6lbs down from 15st 1lb at the start of my pregnancy baby is now 7 months) I am aiming to have the final 2st lost by Christmas but of course will be happy with 1 stone

I have always struggled with my weight and have only ever managed to lose it once and started this time a lot bigger I feel so much better already but really just want to get back to my happiest weight

I started 16:8 last Monday been really good until yesterday. I started at 12st 10 last week. I think I might try cutting sugar too.

I'm in too! I lost a stone at the start of the year, but annoyingly have put it back on again. So cross with myself.

I'm so in as well I'm 45 and feel the weight is just creeping up now. I have zero motivation need to stop being lazy. Im 5 foot 7 and 11 stone 6 pounds roughly. A stone off would be great !

I’ve had a think and I have my strategy.

My problem is whenever I try MyFitnessPal, or anything like that, it tells me I need to stick to 1200 calories. I do that, and lose loads of weight too quickly and feel really awful, so I stop.

So, I figure if I want to lose 1 lb per week, I need a 3,500 calorie per week deficit. My weight is completely stable just now, so if I work out just how many calories per day I genuinely eat just now, and reduce that by 500, I should be on to a winner.

From a quick count up, I think I eat about 2,500 now, so should need to reduce to 2,000. But I’ll do it more in depth tomorrow.

Can I join? 45, 5ft8" and 12st 2lb currently. Serial yoyo dieter, I went from 13st 7 to 11st 7 last year but it's creeping back on. Ideally want to get to 10.5st eventually but a stone by Christmas would be grand.
I'm using MFP but upped the calories to 1400 (1200 isn't enough) and walking at least 2 miles a day at a very brisk pace. Back and hip problems make exercise difficult.

Just weighed myself and I am 10 stone 9, which is pretty much what I thought.
I want to lose 9lb so I’m not overweight anymore.
I have COVID this week though so I probably won’t really be able to do anything for a week! It’s a case of I can’t (and don’t feel well enough to) take exercise vs maybe I could take advantage of the fact I can’t taste anything to stop myself eating sugary rubbish.
