I more meant cut down on my dairy cause of 1) my chunky tummy and 2) spots @Kay00. Is it bad for TTC?

@TheDaydreamBelievers I'm with @Kay00 I love dairy, but I am going to try and do a dairy free week to see if it helps with my bloating just not this week, I've already done the shopping.

@orangejuicer welcome 😊

Well I've been to the gym this morning, pretty pleased with myself except I think my HR got a little high for my age bracket, according to the gym equipment anyway.

I also like dairy too much and won’t quit it. I do cut back sometimes, I found a good alpro milk substitute made for tea, but I don’t think I could cut it out entirely.

My headache ended up turning into a migraine, so the start of my fitness mission ended in migraine, sleeping and bad foods. I guess I’ll try again tomorrow.

Juno231 · 05/08/2021 15:06

@thislittlebird your ordeal is making me laugh a bit - the perils of going for a run are endless 😁

@orangejuicer welcome! Are you only just starting ttc for #2 or been trying for a while?

@ChinChilly well done for hitting the gym! I have high hopes of going today for the first time since March last year 😂

@kay00 my PCOS friend on metformin has porridge every morning as well - she adds cocoa powder to hers though 🤤

Gym after work hopefully... Had a healthy lunch of 200cals worth of quinoa /brown rice and then leftover Thai Red curry that was mainly a giant pile of veg :) I even brought celery to work for snacking!

Weight hasn't budged so far this week so I'm hoping my body will catch up before next weigh in 🙊

ChinChilly · 05/08/2021 15:23

@thislittlebird that is an example of why i don't run 🤣 and I've got old lady knees 🤣

@Juno231 lunch sounds good, I hate the gym after work its so busy! 6am on a Sunday is my favourite time there's only every about 4 other people there.

Juno231 · 05/08/2021 15:45

@ChinChilly ah I never ever manage early morning workouts, only someone mental would want to do that 😝. I've got a gym in the office though so I sort of expect it to be pretty much empty.

Am currently dying for a yorkie and trying very hard not to hit the vending machine.

ChinChilly · 05/08/2021 15:58

@Juno231 I used to be a regular 5:30 at the gym, once you're out of th habit though it's so hard to get back into. Ahh an office gym is the dream, nothing like that where I work 🤣 my gym gets so busy and I do weights more than cardio and at busy times there is just too many pervy men in there acting like they've never seen a woman do a squat before 🙄

Thank you for the welcome Smile

We haven't really been trying, it's partly down to me not having great self esteem and being big to start with. I wouldn't be comfortable being pregnant now so have kind of been avoiding it. I know it doesn't make sense but I'm here at 17st and really can't face it.

And we're both exhausted quite a lot of the time. DS is 3 in November Grin

orangejuicer · 05/08/2021 18:40

You're all doing really well, it's definitely inspiring me to just get on with it.

orangejuicer · 05/08/2021 18:41

By the way, I also have PCOS so it is possible to be big, with PCOS and get pregnant. If that helps anyone!

bez91 · 05/08/2021 22:05

Hello, can I join? @TheDaydreamBelievers I remember you from when we had our MMCs at the same time at the end of last year. Sorry to hear like me you're no further along in TTC 💕

I'm 30, ttc #2 since June 2020, 3 MCs along the way so waiting appointment with recurrent MC clinic.
Really need to tone up and loose a couple of inches round my waist and thighs. I conceived #1 when I was at my fittest 4.5 years ago. BMI constantly teeters between average and high mainly because I'm short so don't carry it very well so not so much a weight goal for me but to loose inches.

Oh hey @Juno231 👋

TheDaydreamBelievers · 05/08/2021 22:10

Hey hey @bez91! Sorry to hear you have had further MCs. I have had zero luck since MC and will be going private for fertility assessment in late august. Welcome to this group!

Sounds like a lot of you had a great diet/exercise day! 👏

After my breakfast of porridge and nuts I had:

  • banana + walnut butter (fully avoided the Cornish pasty my sister bought me for lunch)
  • pea protein crisp things
  • an apple
  • fillet steak (no sauce)
  • leaves
  • a few chips
  • 3 x low sugar digestive biscuits and a cuppa

All in all it was an odd food day 😄 night!

Juno231 · 06/08/2021 07:36

@bez91 hi! I see you made it to the gym last night 💪

I finished yday on 14k steps and having done 40 min at the gym. @ChinChilly it was pretty dead but what I hadn't anticipated is that the CEO was there which was awkward 😅

Weighed in this morning at 73.3 so that's a 0.4kg drop so far this week - let's hope it lasts!

Tonight will be Friday tacos and wine so the goal is to not eat until then. Bringing celery and cherry tomatoes to work to snack on.

@orangejuicer well with us i hope you can start losing and feeling more comfortable to TTC ❤️

ChinChilly · 06/08/2021 07:54

@bez91 hii 👋

@Juno231 oh god how awkward 🤣 I don't think I've ever even the CEO where I work, he just sends us all inspirational emails every week, to which i really have to resist the urge to reply 'oh f**k off'...totally cringe

thislittlebird · 06/08/2021 10:23

Ok I’m recovered! Back on the plan. @Juno231 ikr, what a ridiculous first attempt by me lol. I usually get hormonal migraines but haven’t had many lately, wondering if the running triggered it. I do think my hormones seem a bit better behaved when I’m regularly working out rather than just sitting on my sofa with a laptop all day.

I had natural yogurt with raspberries, and with a few oats and honey for breakfast so a good start, and logged it all in MFP. Plan to go for a run a bit later......Confused

We have a gym at work and will possibly be going back three days per week in September. Except I’ll be asking to self-isolate from mid September so I’m not sure if it’s worth me joining again just yet. It is good value.

In bad news I weighed myself this morning and seemed to have gained 1.5lbs. Which is...a lot in a short space of time. I did eat quite a lot of peanut butter while I was sick. 🤨

Kay00 · 06/08/2021 10:47

@thislittlebird hopefully that's just water retention I can't imagine you ate 1.5lbs of peanut butter??? Grin

I'm meant to be going for my first run (in a while, and since by long 102km walk two weeks ago) with my friend tonight... I'm looking forward to testing my knee and hip fully Grin

I had porridge for breakfast with blueberries, and will probably have salad with peppered mackerel for lunch - yum!

thislittlebird · 06/08/2021 13:23

@Kay00 I hope not 😭

I re-started couch to 5k from week 2 but it seems the app has gone haywire since I last used it in June??? The audio is all crackly now and not sure it’s useable. Had to run round with my phone in my hand which I did not enjoy. Despite this, have done 7k steps now and got caught in a brief shower.

Your lunch sounds nice! I need to decide on dinner. For lunch I think I’ll have a protein bagel thin with avocado and a small amount of hummus.

Kay00 · 06/08/2021 13:37

Mmm yum. I have no idea what we are having for dinner either, I might need to do a food shop first as we are out of most things!

ChinChilly · 06/08/2021 14:10

I've fallen out with the scales, no weight loss but the jeans that were super tight last week now fit perfectly so I'm calling that a no scale victory!

I had some 'protein' porridge with raspberries and a wholemeal pitta with hummus for the lunch and a whole punnet of diamond strawberries from M&S...best strawberries I've ever tasted

Juno231 · 06/08/2021 16:40

@ChinChilly okay I'm def popping in to m&s after work to see if they have those strawberries... And well done on the NSV!

@thislittlebird how did the run go 😅. Any chance your weight is cycle related? I gain 2lb around ovulation!

Managed to do a half hour workout class at the gym at lunch today so I'm pleased with my efforts this week! Had a protein pot thing and a cookie for lunch lol - so much for waiting until dinner.

ChinChilly · 06/08/2021 17:07

@Juno231 I wish I'd brought more than 1 punnet 🤤 also brought a limelon apparently a lime crossed with a lime 🤔 I'll give you my verdict on that later. Well done on the gym session!

Juno231 · 06/08/2021 18:23

@ChinChilly omg those have to be the best strawberries I've ever had! Going back tomorrow for more 🤤

thislittlebird · 06/08/2021 18:31

What are diamond strawberries? 🤨 it sounds like I need some of those. I only just did an ocado shop, damn.

@Juno231 I don’t think so, it’s cd 6 for me so I’ve only just said goodbye to AF. Maybe water retention? Dunno. I’ll weigh myself again tomorrow.

A limelon? Having flashbacks to my online friend in Brazil not differentiating between lemons and limes.

thislittlebird · 06/08/2021 18:31

Oh and my run was fine this time it seems? Guessing it triggered a hormonal migraine for me.
