Anyone up for a big fat body overhaul?

I'm fat, 55 and totally fed up.

I would love to look and feel nice again. I hate wearing clothes that cover my fat, I want to wear clothes that I actually like.

I definitely need to shift a couple of stone and make much more of an effort with my appearance.

Anyone else feel the same? Will be starting tomorrow if you are interested in joining me.

Me. My confidence is so low that I need to sort myself out. A lot of stress and not being kind to myself has resulted in being very overweight (at least 6 six stone) and feeling even more miserable.

Lupellegrino · 31/07/2021 17:36

😭😭😭😭

Me. So depressed it's getting to me so much. Unfortunately my favourite coping mechanisms are food and alcohol.
My daughter finished chemo in June so you can imagine how stressful life is right now. Blahhhhhhh. I need help.

FelicityBeedle · 31/07/2021 17:38

I’ll join you, I’ve got about 50kg to lose and I started a few weeks ago. I’ve lost about 3Kg but it’s probably just water weight or something

MintyCedric · 31/07/2021 17:47

Ooh yes please!

I'd already planned to start tomorrow (again)...Will be nice to have some company.

@Lupellegrino ((hugs)) how old is your daughter? My dad was diagnosed 'end of life' a couple of weeks into the first lockdown and I was helping care for him until he passed away in May as well as working fulltime and single parenting for much of it.

There has been a lot of takeaway and my alcohol consumption has more than doubled, although I've stayed the same rather than gaining so I guess the stress must've balanced it a bit.

I'm mid forties with 8st to lose Confused.

Seil · 31/07/2021 17:57

Hello everyone, thanks for joining me.

Sorry to hear that @Lupellegrino, that is a really stressful situation for you all. How is your daughter doing now?

Hi all , I'd like to join you too if that's ok
I was 55 on Wednesday and feel about 70
My fatness, clothes, hair , demeanour all scream fat slob
Don't know when I lost myself really ,
So sorry but happy to hear of the DD finishing her chemo , makes some of my moaning feel irrelevant

Shimmyshimmycocobop · 31/07/2021 19:13

I've found my tribe, 54 and feeling fat, old and past it, would like to lose 2 stone.

I am planning to weigh myself in the morning. It's been a while!

Anyone up for Sunday morning weigh ins?

Hope that you had a lovely birthday @66babe.

namcybotwinbloom · 31/07/2021 19:23

Seil · 31/07/2021 19:35

I feel at rock bottom, I can't go on stuffing my face with chocolate and cake. I am my own worst enemy. I'm going to try really hard to change things.

Lupellegrino · 31/07/2021 21:08

Thank you guys she's six.

Back on the wagon tomorrow, will check in on the scales on Monday, batteries are flat but will pick some up tomorrow.

5willmakeyougetdownnow · 31/07/2021 21:24

I’d love to join you all. I’ve had Ill health and been on steroids for the best part of a year. I have been eating everything in sight and now have about 6ish stone to loose. I’d settle for one to begin with though. I feel so uncomfortable lately. I’ve been plus size for years but the last stone seems to have really affected how I feel about myself. I don’t normally post I’m a total lurker but feel joining a thread could really help me.

GetTaeFuck · 31/07/2021 21:28

30kg to lose and I’m short.

The most I’ve ever had to lose previously is 10kgs.

Seil · 31/07/2021 21:39

Sorry to mention Christmas in July, but it is 21 weeks away. Just 1lb per week will lose 1.5 stone by then. I reckon that's doable 😁

I'm sat here with my trousers undone , and a have a big spare tyre around my middle I'm in !

TragicKingdom · 31/07/2021 21:49

I'm sat here having inhaled a chinese takeaway wondering if it's wrong to eat another bar of chocolate. Went out on my bike earlier and managed 18 minutes before collapsing in a heap! I'm in... but have no scales.

HandlebarLadyTash · 31/07/2021 21:53

Ok, but I'm not weighing myself it will make me cry

mumsy2015 · 31/07/2021 21:54

I'm in! Tomorrow i turn 42 and have gained 2 stone since i turned 40. I'm struggling with depression and am drinking WAY too much. I feel like i need to turn things around before i wreck my kids lives.

Monestera · 31/07/2021 22:05

Hey, I started Paul McKennas programme this week (so no weighing in for me for a while). I’m 41 with about 3 stone to lose. I’m in a good place and ready to make some changes.

julie81 · 31/07/2021 22:31

Me please, was 55 yesterday, have put in so much weight. I hit lots of lovely healthy food Thursday for the week, did have Wagamama yesterday for birthday and was bought chocolate and cakes. I will hope kids eat must of those.

monicacat · 31/07/2021 22:34

Please can I join you, I am a desperate woman

lizziesnips · 31/07/2021 22:40

Thank you Seil for starting this thread, I've gone from a size 16 to a 22 during lockdown.
I don't feel like myself anymore and need to change.
I am so ready for this.

FleetwoodRaincoat · 31/07/2021 22:41

Are you me OP? Am planning to start on Monday, so would love to join you. 54 with at least 2 stone to lose.

Zonefiver · 31/07/2021 22:45

I’m in. I’m (well) over a stone heavier than is comfortable and I’d love to get back into my favourite jeans and skirts.
