I've reached peak fatness and need to sort myself out

Starting from today I am going to attempt to sort out my fatness.

I have had enough of not fitting into my clothes and feeling embarrassed about how I look. I find it exhausting being overweight.

Ideally I need to lose a good two stone but would be really happy to start with one stone.

Anyone like to join me?

And I went running!! And I survived.

Time2b33 · 19/06/2021 00:51

I went running too! Planning another one tomorrow 🏃‍♀️

Morning all. I hope everyone is still feeling motivated. Looking forward to hearing your weekly round-ups.

I'm thrilled to have lost this week after a belated birthday meal out, and a foot injury requiring as much rest as possible. I think the latter may catch up with me weight-wise this coming week as I can't walk far or run, which is bound to have an effect.

I started my weight loss on 19 April, so:
Start weight: 13st 4lb
This week: -1lb
Current weight: 12st 4lb
Total loss: 1 stone

I have at least another stone to go. Just under 11st is a good weight for me, and gives a BMI of 22-23.

@TheTurn0fTheScrew that’s great well done! I’ve only managed the gym 3 times this week due to working all day and night Friday so I’m a bit turned inside out with times, I’ve been watching my eating so hoping when I weigh I will maintain or have a little loss.

Belliphat · 20/06/2021 12:09

I have been shit but have stepped away from the booze and Pringles for a better week! Am still 11.11 after starting at 12 stone. It’s going to be a slog!

Reebok · 20/06/2021 13:36

@Aroundtheworldin80moves it sounds like the exercise is doing something if your clothing is looser. Keep going!

I am down from 69.9kg to 69.4kg today. I am finally starting to see a difference and feel a bit fitter too. Been doing Hiit at home while dd is isolating (she is fine but there's a case in her bubble! 🤦🏽‍♀️) So only been to the gym a few times this week. Despite the stress of isolating, I am managing to stay away from the treats!

Well done everyone...particularly @Belliphat from staying away from the pringles!

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 20/06/2021 13:38

According to my Fitbit I burnt around 4000 calories yesterday.
So I advise a day at an activity centre! GrinGrin

Second weigh in.

Start 13.02
1st week 12.12
2nd week 12.10

Time2b33 · 21/06/2021 08:11

I've had a terrible good week so I'm here to confess and draw a line under it.

Will fire up MFP and start tracking again.

Also want to get out for a run and cut the carbs back.

TheTurn0fTheScrew · 21/06/2021 09:02

well done to those losing, and an even bigger well done to those getting back on the horse after a setback or stalling, which I always find hard. here's to a good week.

ElfDragon · 21/06/2021 10:54

I had a shocker of a week (2 meals out plus a takeaway, assorted snacks all week but less than before I started trying to lose weight (a small positive, but I’ll take it)), but have not put any weight back on which is a bonus.

So I’m still just 1lb down, and hopefully back on track for this week

Time2b33 · 21/06/2021 19:26

Reporting here to say I've had a good food day 👍

Time2b33 · 25/06/2021 21:30

Sorry the time just flies by! Great week for me, another run on Tuesday. Had pizza for dinner today as a treat meal.

TheTurn0fTheScrew · 25/06/2021 22:08

Nice work!
I'm still off exercise due my rubbish foot. It's getting better with rest though, so plan to reintroduce walking on Monday, and then running the following week, all being well. Food intake fair to middling - we'll see what the scales say on Sun.

FAQs · 28/06/2021 08:58

@Tryx how are you getting on?

Week 1 13 st 2 lb
Week 2 12 st 10lb
Week 3 12st 7lb

Bit of a surprise as I have not managed the gym due to work and training, been following 16/8 instead.

Keep going people!

LimpLettice · 28/06/2021 13:23

I keep not coming back.

I'm now 7kg down from 79kg. I feel better for it, but I'd like to lose the same again, as I'm only 5'5 and still too much spread. Had quite an eaty weekend but not too much ill affect.

Feeling a bit disheartened by my mum gut, however. Losing everywhere and I feel most of my figure is so much nicer but I will never get shot of the diastasis and resulting skin without surgery, which would be private and not much fun. We could probably afford it, but I'd rather put it away for the kids. Annoying.

TheTurn0fTheScrew · 28/06/2021 13:26

Afternoon folks, and congratulations on your losses. I shaved a pound off too!

Start weight: 13st 4 (April 21)
This week: - 1lb
Current weight: 12st 3
Loss so far: 1st 1lb

Time2b33 · 28/06/2021 20:43

I keep having a couple of good days then a bad one 🤦‍♀️

Reebok · 29/06/2021 09:43

Hi everyone just checking in! Hope everyone is doing well with their health/fitness journey. @limpLettice I understand what you mean completely about your mum gut. I can see myself losing weight on my upper body/thighs/bottom but the mum pouch is so hard to shift.

Anyway, last week I weighed in at 69.4kg.
Yesterday I was 68.9kg.
To those finding they are yo-yoing back a forth, keep going. The fact you are checking back in is a good thing. Keep it up ladies.

LimpLettice · 29/06/2021 13:21

Ah, @Reebok, it's so frustrating, isn't it? I'm fairly slim of leg, small shouldered, but with this 6 month belly which means I'm in a 14 and so called mom jeans make me look like a bag of spuds on stilts. Ah well. Keep on keeping on!

Time2b33 · 01/07/2021 20:04

I've been crap this week but good today and even went for a run ☺️

Time2b33 · 02/07/2021 19:21

Anyone else feeling fed up and tired of food?
