I've reached peak fatness and need to sort myself out

Starting from today I am going to attempt to sort out my fatness.

I have had enough of not fitting into my clothes and feeling embarrassed about how I look. I find it exhausting being overweight.

Ideally I need to lose a good two stone but would be really happy to start with one stone.

Anyone like to join me?

Me too. I lost a stone last year and have put it all back on and more. I got away with it in the colder weather, but now it's getting warmer and I'm wearing shorts, I'm getting the dreaded chub rub.

Our evening meals are probably okay, but I need to drink less and eat better during the day - I'm another with no willpower when wfh so lunches have become more and more unhealthy, plus extra snacking.

And should probably squeeze some exercise in as there no real reason not to other than sheer laziness....

@Fifipop185 oh god, the thought of Wotsit orange dust under my nails makes me shudder.

I usually have chocolate ingrained on my fingers and my phone often doesn't recognise my thumb print 😂

I have at least 3 stones to lose. 4/5 years ago I was size 8 (only 5'2") and now I'm a big blobby blob! I feel so embarrassed when I see people for the first time in ages as I can tell they are thinking "bloody hell what happened to you"!

I was doing Noon at the start of the year and it was going really well, I lost nearly a stone, but am sure it's gone back on.

I need to seriously cut down on wine and stop picking all afternoon/early evening. We've got stuck in a crazy routine of cooking for kids and then for us later on. It means we often don't eat till 9ish. By then I can have necked a couple of glasses of wine and eaten all manner of crap, including kids leftovers. From tomorrow dinner is going to be at 6:30 for everyone.

I'm gigantic at the minute and really down about it - need to lose at least 2 stone but would settle for one. I've started going back into the office but nothing fits! Sad

I’m in. I made a start a couple of weeks ago but then went on holiday for a week so it’s back to square one. I seem to be able to be good each week until about Thursday evening and then it all goes to shit with wine, takeaways, meals out and snacks! My plan is to track calories, watch portion sizes, cut down on the wine, lots more plant based - though not fully as the DC and DH will complain - and try to do something exercise wise every day. Simple right?! Need to lose a min 1.5 stone, preferably 2, and as much of that as possible before a family wedding in October.

I'm bigger now than I was 9 months pregnant with my second. Please can I join? I don't know where to start. I know I eat too much junk food but I'm so tired that I use it to get me through the day. Can anyone suggest easy energy filled snacks.tovhave around the house which are not just my favourite sweet carbs?

@Tryx Yes to a Sunday weigh in. Might stop me losing the plot on a Saturday! Weigh in for today is 12st 1.6 lb. Nine weeks until our summer holiday and hope to have lost a stone by then.

This might not work for you, but I found a bit of chocolate a day worked for me, I bought the small bars and had one after dinner. If I would have stopped altogether I probably would have ended up in a cycle of going without, eating a share bag myself, going without again and again. Wine and carbs are also fine in moderation, calorie counting could work for you? As long as you don't get into the habit of 'saving' calories to have wine at the detriment of meals, it's easier to maintain a balance.

I need to lose about 2 stone and reduce inflammation. I scratch cook most of the time and it's usually healthy, but I also gobble up the junk food that I buy for my DH and my teen DD.

Can I join too please?
I'm 5 foot 3 and weighed myself this morning for the first time in ages...13 stone 9lbs which is terrible.
None of my clothes fit and I feel dreadful about how I look.
I'm going to stop buying crisps, snacks, chocolate, biscuits etc.
Cut down on takeaways as we have loads, cut out bread completely.
I do exercise regularly so that's good.
I'm also considering a couple of weeks of Huel or similar to kick start Smile

@Peppapeg if it's in the house I crave it. If it isn't I don't miss it. I allow myself one bar of my favourite chocolate to last the week... But I also need to stay away from all the childrens lunchbox food.

I lost 2 stone at the end of 2019 and kept it off. Gone from size 14 to size 10 am mid 40s. Everyone finds their own way this is mine

Broadly followed Michael Mosley intermittent fasting
In the week I don’t eat until lunch.
Meals on smaller plates but same meals as before so healthy normal food
Cardio most mornings for an hour and generally be more active
Alcohol crisps cake etc still have but less of and try to limit to weekends

Lost 2 stone in 4 months.

And don’t eat after dinner. So I basically eat between 12 - 7.30. Outside those hours nothing. Do have tea and coffee though. Weirdly it’s fine if you don’t stuff in carbs at breakfast your appetite doesn’t kick in.
