I've reached peak fatness and need to sort myself out

Starting from today I am going to attempt to sort out my fatness.

I have had enough of not fitting into my clothes and feeling embarrassed about how I look. I find it exhausting being overweight.

Ideally I need to lose a good two stone but would be really happy to start with one stone.

Anyone like to join me?

So I am 0.2kg heavier than last Monday 🤦‍♀️ But is was DS's birthday this weekend and there has been cake and pizza and snacks etc etc. I will keep going!

Reebok · 14/06/2021 09:19

@FAQs well done on the loss!
In fact all of you! Well done. Keep going ladies...we can do it. Off to the gym now. Need to work off the weekend at the beach! Consumed lots of naughty things. @scaredsadandstuck dont worry! It was your ds birthday. You got this!

LimpLettice · 14/06/2021 09:34

New week! Is it just me or is it a bit easier when it's too hot to cook?

I hit a month on WW yesterday and 12lb down. I'm so pleased as I'm not finding any of it a major struggle. Made restaurant style curries for a party Saturday and had mine with lots of salad, then healthy ish bbq yesterday, but I've eaten lots of ice cream too.

I spent some time figuring out bmi and some goals yesterday and I want to lose at least another stone, but preferably 2. That's a long way to go so I'm just concentrating on each weeks being a visible loss.

TheBobJog · 14/06/2021 10:19

Well done on the first week everyone!

I forgot to weigh this morning- d'oh. Will do it tomorrow.

Frenchrugby · 14/06/2021 11:05

Going in the right direction at least. Down to 69.6 from 70.1. Well done to all for their losses!

BookShark · 14/06/2021 11:56

Well my weekly weigh in showed a 1.5lb loss, which I should be pleased with, except it was more than that midweek, and then I ruined it by getting Dominos on Saturday (and drinking wine in the sunshine, which is what led to the pizza decision....).

But, it's still a loss, and this is a new week etc. so I'm back on it with a vengeance!

notevenamum1 · 14/06/2021 13:27

Some great losses ladies! Very inspiring!

I started this morning by weighing in and my expected weight gain of half a stone was actually 9lbs so I want to focus on getting that back off in the coming months before thinking about the whole picture and scaring myself off before I started! Just had a veggie bowl for lunch and skipped breakfast as I’m doing 16:8

TattyDevine · 14/06/2021 15:04

Bodypump again today, and some actual moderation over the weekend 👍🏻

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 14/06/2021 17:36

I’m still on the game. I haven’t weighed yet, I think I’m going to leave it for two weeks so I can give myself a good head start. My weekend was a bit naughty but hopefully I didn’t undo everything in the week. Today has been ok, long hill, challenging hill walk with the dog this morning, some weights stuff in the afternoon and 1300 cals of good stuff.

Congrats to those who’ve lost and to those who haven’t, this is a marathon not a sprint. Have faith Smile

BalladOfBarryAndFreda · 14/06/2021 17:37

I am, in fact, IN the game, not “on the game”.

Hmm

I’d probably lose more weight if I was on the game, exercise is exercise.

Grin not sure how you log it on mfp though
Aroundtheworldin80moves · 15/06/2021 11:53

Although I'm still struggling with food, exercise is going well.

I'd count sex as an aerobic workout Wink

Reallyreallyborednow · 15/06/2021 12:01

So I upped my calories to 1300 the last 2 days as I was struggling and gained 2 pounds Hmm.

Back to it today. As low cal as I can manage. Missed the gym this am as had to deal with a dc. Booked on tomorrow. Was hoping to be nearly half a stone down by now, rather than 1lb up. I don’t think i can cut any more calories so more gym it will have to be.

Reebok · 15/06/2021 18:52

@BalladofBarryAndFreda 🤣
@Aroundtheworldin80moves I totally agree with you there 🤣
@Reallyreallyborednow keep going! You can do it.

So slight success here! First one being I managed 30 mins on the cross trainer after power walking for 15 mins to the gym! I have never managed that long before and was drenched in sweat by the end of my workout.

Second bit...I bought a dress today - one size down.

Time2b33 · 15/06/2021 23:33

I lost 3lbs so down from 12 stone to 11st 11. Want to see 11st 9 next

leli · 16/06/2021 09:32

10.13 lbs today down from 11.04 lbs 9 days ago. Pleased with this. Keeping going. Using SlimFast. Courage to others!

Reebok · 16/06/2021 19:26

Whoo hoo! Down from 70.4 to 69.9!

Well done on all the other losses! Let's keep going.

Btw are you weighing weekly or daily?

FAQs · 17/06/2021 13:03

@Reebok weekly, I think daily could give false readings and give false hope Grin

FAQs · 17/06/2021 13:04

For me!

TheTurn0fTheScrew · 17/06/2021 13:12

I weigh daily, but will not bore you all with more than a weekly weight. I find an increase focuses the mind, and a loss is a lovely motivational sight, so win-win.

I am not expecting a loss this week as I've picked up a foot injury. I think it's tendonitis, and my own daft fault for running a mile to school in inappropriate footwear when late for pickup. Nothing serious but I can't walk too far for too long which is totally messing with my step count!

LimpLettice · 18/06/2021 08:15

Daily here, too. I like to see a downward trend but I find a little gain motivational too.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 18/06/2021 08:21

Still stuck at 15st, 13.5Lbs.

It's hard not to be demotivated. DH says I'm losing visibly though. My sports bra feels less tight around the chest. So maybe the exercise is doing something.

I did more than 15,000 steps in a day for the first time this year. (Over 16000 actually!)
