I've reached peak fatness and need to sort myself out

Starting from today I am going to attempt to sort out my fatness.

I have had enough of not fitting into my clothes and feeling embarrassed about how I look. I find it exhausting being overweight.

Ideally I need to lose a good two stone but would be really happy to start with one stone.

Anyone like to join me?

I need to start as well. Also need to lose at least a stone, preferably 1.5st really. Planning to knock wine, bread and snacks on the head, and plan my meals a bit better.
I'm away today, so will start tomorrow...

Hadenough21 · 06/06/2021 08:03

I’m in the same boat. Saw a photo of myself yesterday in a sleeveless dress and barely recognised myself. My arms and shoulders looked so big and my double chin! I haven’t dared weigh myself recently but I know I’m the biggest I’ve ever been and need to lose a good 1.5 stone to be comfortable again. Ideally 2. It might not sound a lot to some but I’m short and it really shows on me. I’m currently squeezing myself into a 14 (just!) and I’d like to be 10-12 again.

What’s your plan OP? I’m going to calorie count and do 16:8

Tryx · 06/06/2021 08:10

Morning, my plan is to really cut down on the amount of food that I eat. I scoff chocolate and biscuits a lot which needs to stop.

Planning on walking the dog everyday, dh usually does the dog walking.

You skinny bitchez, I need to lose FOUR

😳

We’ve been mega plant based for the past week so hoping to continue that

WeIcomeToGilead · 06/06/2021 08:14

Anybody else planning plant based?

misskatamari · 06/06/2021 08:14

Yes! I need to do this! I stared doing Paul McKenna in January and was doing so well with changing habits (was a thread on here which was really helpful). I've since reverted to old habits as I stopped listening as much, and am annoyed with myself, as I was really seeing a different. Getting back in it today!

StealthPolarBear · 06/06/2021 08:15

I'm still struggling, although I've lost weight successfully in the past. I have a sweet tooth and crave sugar.

Tryx · 06/06/2021 08:15

I need to weigh myself. Just drinking coffee and preparing myself mentally 😁

ElfDragon · 06/06/2021 08:15

Me too.

I am going to start by cutting out any extra snacks and keeping an eye on portion sizes. Plus exercise, as I currently don’t do any at all.

I want to make sustainable changes to my daily life, which are possible to stick to long term. It may take longer to shift the weight, but I will have a healthier lifestyle as a result.

Theneverendingcleaningcycle · 06/06/2021 08:16

Can I join? I really need to loose 2 stone. None of my summer clothes fit!
My problem is I boredom eat. Going to cut snacking and up walking.

Tryx · 06/06/2021 08:17

@ElfDragon I'm going with your approach. I need to be able to stick at this.

Me ! I saw a photo of myself on ds ipad from about 3 years ago and I was much slimmer . I had a floaty summer top on yesterday and a man gave me his seat on the train Blush
It's all round my belly.
I wfh and it's been very quiet so I have been snacking from boredom and also creating huge elaborate dinners. I dont drink and get plenty of exercise so I know I'm eating too much
Thank you for this thread, I need to lose a stone

Dontforgetyourbrolly · 06/06/2021 08:20

My Bras are too tight and it's because I'm bigger round the back not front! Ive got lots of fruit and salad in my online shop.
Today just breakfast, lunch , dinner and no snacks . One day at a time ⏲️

Weepingwillows12 · 06/06/2021 08:20

I will join if I may. I lost 2 stone after christmas but have another 2 to 3 stone to go and have not lost anything/ put a little weight on again in the last month or 2 so need to get back on it.

Last time I was just tracking on myfitnesspal and aiming for lots of walking and daily yoga (well 5 times a week). I will do that but am thinking I need some cardio too (never found any proper workouts I like as I hate sweating, am clumsy and uncoordinated and cant run) so tips welcome.

Dontforgetyourbrolly · 06/06/2021 08:22

@Hadenough21 I'm small too, so a stone really shows . Right now I look like a tiny head on top of a big round body

GalOopNorth · 06/06/2021 08:22

Hi all, can I join? I have 2 stone to lose.
Need to take it gently or I tend to give up and binge.
Planning to focus on high protein, lower carb, lots of fruit and veggies.

Happyface120 · 06/06/2021 08:23

@WeIcomeToGilead I think this may be the way forward for me. I lost weight going plant based for a month a couple of years ago, and had loads more energy. Currently really struggling with fatigue (all medical causes excluded) so I suspect it's a combination of too many white carbs and not enough veg...
Will still include eggs though as we have a massive surplus from our free range chooks!
I do plenty of exercise, but then over eat as I feel I've earned it Hmm

Tryx · 06/06/2021 08:24

It doesn't help that I am not very tall. I am 5'4 and look so wide and round. My face is chubby with a double chin.

2 stone needed here too. Started in the past few days. Have ditched booze, family size bags of crisps and will try not to eat cheese and biscuits every five mins. In fact am trying not to eat butter as I get through about a pack every few days and it’s mostly from my toast.

Belliphat · 06/06/2021 08:26

Am veggie but was thinking about using Huel fir work / to replace the odd meal.

TheTurn0fTheScrew · 06/06/2021 08:26

Elf, that's what I've been doing since mid- April. I've lost 11lb. Still fat though (1 to 2 stone to go), which is why I'd like to join this thread. Biggest changes have been walking every day, stopping grazing on crap all bloody evening, and salad-based lunches. I haven't changed our usual dinners at all because my DC can be fussy and I CBA to cook twice.
Peppapeg · 06/06/2021 08:27

I have a stone to lose, but I need to do it now as i lost 7 stone a few years back and am worried it will slowly all creep back on! I am going to do calorie counting and making sure to be more active, because I find that works well for me and means I can eat meals I enjoy but less of them haha.

Peppapeg · 06/06/2021 08:27

As in less food each meal, not less meals!

Fifipop185 · 06/06/2021 08:28

May I join? I'm the biggest I've ever been and am so uncomfortable and unhappy in myself. I could do with losing a good 2/3 stone. I'm permanently WFH now and need to stop eating a whole packet of biscuits and the big share bags of wotsits for lunch instead of something more sensible. I also need to make myself go for a lunchtime walk, I did this with the kids over half term and did us all good, I just need to get my routine sorted and stick to it!

Tryx · 06/06/2021 08:29

@Peppapeg well done losing seven stone.
